It was an unimpressive start for this new series. It was in third place at 8pm and in second place for the remainder of the half hours, beaten by FOX’s So You Think You Can Dance by 29% in the demo. It may be that America is tiring of singing competitions or at least that they’re not ready to embrace another one so soon after the finales of The Voice and American Idol. Perhaps the network would have benefited from waiting a few weeks to premiere this one.

Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.

My daughter called me to tell me about the show. I loved Duets. I loved all the participants. This show gave me something to look forward to on TV all week. Thursdays were good because of the show. Please renew this show.

Loved hearing Kelly Clarkson sing different songs other than her own . I think she is the best singer ever. Hope the show comes back .
As for you JackOfficier what kind of sick person are you? Why would you write such a horrible comment like that?

One of the all time best shows in the last few years was “Can you Duet” on CMA. Duets started out a little shaky, I will admit, but with every week the contestants got stronger and stronger. I think that is what is suposed to happen on a singing competition and by the time of the final six, there was some very good talent. There is nothing more beautiful than a blending of voices, I hope the show will be back.

I love the show and hope it comes back. Love Jennifer Nettles, John Legend and Kelly Clarkson. Robin Thicke was good but needs to say more. It was a good show to me. Hope it comes back.

Please renew this show. Loved all the performances by the stars and loved that all the nonsense you see on Idol was eliminated on this show. Also, Jennifer Nettles was amazing as a mentor and as a performer. She can sing anything, and obviously loves to sing. Her voice is terrific.

I’ve love the show and it’s quite different from the other singing shows in that you find out right away which singers are at the bottom and might be eliminated and the ones that are doing really great!!

  7. terre says

hey i think it different because if you look at idol they dont get to do duets with an artist only on finale nights but with duets you get to see that all season so i want a season 2

  8. JackOfficer says

  9. Kim says

I happen to love Duets! Its unique in that, they get to perform with seasoned professionals. How great is that?!?! ANYONE wanting to be a singer has a dream to perform with the greats, so its a win win situation. They get exposure and a chance to fulfill their dream and to do it alongside the best of the best!
