It looks like the magic is over for the three ladies of Eastwick. ABC network has decided against ordering any additional episodes of the supernatural series, effectively cancelling it.
Eastwick revolves around three women (Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price, and Jaime Ray Newman) who meet at a wishing fountain and become friends. Soonafter, mysterious Darryl Van Horne (Paul Gross) moves to town and unleashes powers within the ladies. The cast also includes Ashley Benson, Johann Urb, Jon Bernthal, Sara Rue, and Veronica Cartwright.
The show got off to a slow start on September 23rd with a 3.0 rating in the 18-49 demo and 8.5 million total viewers. The second installment fell to a 2.3 in the demo and 6.57 million viewers. The third week fell again to a 1.8 and 5.14 million.

In the weeks that followed, the ratings didn’t get any better and more frequently got worse. Last week, Eastwick hit an all-time low of 1.5 in the demo and 4.4 million.
ABC has opted to pull the show from the schedule for two weeks. This Wednesday, it’s replaced by the Country Music Awards. Next week, it’s being bumped for an interview special called In the Spotlight with Robin Roberts: Janet Jackson. Though Eastwick is scheduled to return on Thanksgiving eve with a new episode, the supernatural drama won’t be around for long after that.
ABC has decided not to order any additional episodes of Eastwick, effectively cancelling the series after 13 episodes. It’s unknown if the last episode will wrap up the ongoing storylines. For now, ABC plans to air all six remaining installments but, if the ratings keep declining, the network could easily pull the series before that happens.

I agree with some of the other comments. So tired of reality, crime scene dramas. I don’t think it was given a chance, or enough promotion.
it is just so disheartening to read that Eastwick is no longer airing. I wonder why abc is cancelling good shows like Eastwick, it’s also what they’ve done to Flash Forward. I am fully hoping that they’ll consider putting the show back on track and diagnose what the problem has been and be able to resolve it. The show is enchanting; not too gross for a witch-themed show, yet not too slim in making the viewers curl their feet in suspense. I just love it, I wonder how can it not be watched by other people thus making advertisers change their minds. The network can’t be blamed that much, though. Practically it’s for business reasons that they have been compelled to implement such action.

i’m italian and i totally love this telefilm. It’s one of my favourite ones. i can’t understand why it has been canceled, it’s awsome and entertaining and i really wanna know how it would go on. THe last episode let believe that there would have been another one, and the story isn’t completed .!!
I did’nt think it was good at first but after watching anyway it got better the last few shows. It definately needed better writers. So now we will see more reality tv crap that is really getting sickening and it all sucks! Hollywood needs better writers for better tv series.

I love Eastwick, here in Denmark it is a grate deall, its one of the bedst ever… not even the carmed ones was that exciting… please give it a change to work… PLEASE

This is ridiculous! How many viewers does it really take? This was an excellent show! I was hooked! It had great scenery and made me love fall!!! I love the charachters! What a bummer! Shame on you for taking this away!!!!! Why don’t you take away something stupid like “the office” or “heroes” cmon people!!!
I loved watching eastwick, i taped it at night and my daughter and i would watch it together during the day on a weekend. I think it would be a shame that it might not be back on there needs to be something other than doctors and lawyers, death and violance on TV. Bring back the strong willed quirky women of EASTWICK!!!!!!!!!

Stupid to stop a show like eastwick. I actually liked it, desperate housewives not so much!! At least it’s a show with more than complaining women over there love life. There’s just the right mix between humor, aventure … but most people seem to like the dull repetition of other shows where there’s no story to whatsoever. So pleaaase continue this show. I’m from Belgium by the way. I prefere they get rid of all the reality nonsense thats frustrating me! I love eastwick !!! and would like to see a next season, and I think with me a lot of others too.
I LOVED EASTWICK! I’ve been looking foward to a new season since the first one ended. Maybe it’s just on the wrong station. Another network should definitley pick it up and continue the series. It’s the perfect fall show.
