Eastwick: ABC Pulls Last Two Episodes, Again!

EastwickThe network giveth and, unfortunately for Eastwick fans, the network taketh away.

After weeks of poor ratings, ABC decided not to order any more episodes of Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price, Jaime Ray Newman, Paul Gross, and company. That essentially cancelled the show. Then, in December, ABC pulled Eastwick off the air after only 11 (installments 1-10 and 12) of the show’s 13 episodes had aired.

Last month, the network announced that they’d be burning off the 11th and 13th installments on Saturday, July 10th. Though the show’s been off the air for six months, devoted fans were happy to know they’d finally be able to watch the last of them.

The network has now changed their schedule. They’ve pulled the final episodes of Eastwick and replaced them with reruns of Scoundrels and The Gates, their struggling Sunday dramas. There’s no word if the Eastwick ladies will be rescheduled for a later date or if they might show up online.

We were able to track the episodes down months ago. Though we can’t legally post the video, you can read our detailed synopses of “Red Bath and Beyond” and the series finale, “Pampered and Tampered.” Unfortunately, they don’t wrap up the show storylines.

What do you think? Will ABC finally air the last episodes at some point? Do you still care?

PLZ bring back my TV!!! The cancelation r driving nuz.Why do we have to fight for show that have real writters? Why do the Networks shovel everything on Monday nites. My DVR want let me tape them all. They keep The RealityTV and mindless dysfunctional shows on for years.First time in all my years I have 2 rent movies r play on the net for entertainment.RealityTV>It is CHEAP Entertainment with redneck writters .WHILE More and more Brilliant Witters are out of Jobs. If this keep going at this rate brilliant witters being thing of the past like MOM &POP, stores? RealityTV They have redneck writters with dysfunctional plot, they r rehearsed and edited for drama “The Bachelor”Its a show for naive people who believe, he is looking for love..He is not, really looking for, a bride. That its, just a scripted show too. I think If The Bachelor really wanted to find dysfunctional bride he should do it the old fashion way, in a bar.If it was left up 2 me Kim Kardashians would have 2 find a real job They leave mindless dysfunctional shows on for years. Why are these network’s pushing stupid on us?. Why do we have to fight for show that have real writters?

Very DISAPPOINTED! I loved the show and so did my husband! Can you at least give us (the FANS) the option to buy episodes 1-13 on Blue Ray? ABC?? It’s worth every penny! I refuse to watch ABC no more!

I was disappointed in the show’s quick canceling of the show, it would of been nice for the story to end better and knowing what was what. I enjoyed the comedy of the 3 ladies, they were great!

I always liked the movie Eastwick so I knew the show was going to be great. It was, and now I’m upset. Why do you keep putting on these shows for a season than snatching it off. What about the people that were interested in the storyline? Please bring it back on. Give it another shot, this show is better than scoundrels. The gates is another show that you should really consider gining another shot on air. Maybe pay more attention to the time slot entered.

Again another show ABC gives the boot! Does ABC even care about fans anymore or just ratings? I am becoming so discussed with ABC I can’t take it anymore.

Hi from the UK.

I’ve just watched all 11 episodes back to back and Eastwick is the best series going at the moment. I couldn’t believe it when I read that it had been pulled. I loved it! please please please bring it back, I’m sure it’ll gain more ground and you’ll then have a hit series on your hands.

STILL care – would love to have the show back on. Nothing else like it on TV & the network is producing substandard entertainment…

I really think that Easwick had something that other shows don’t. I really miss it. It has something just like Desperate housewifes, everyone sees something of your self in the characters. And it is more interesting than charmed.
I really want to see more of it. I liked it a lot!

Laurie October 11, 2010 at 9:17 am

I have been searching for months on line to see if there is any talk about the network releasing the whole season I on DVD of Eastwick. Can someone answer this question?????
I miss the show and really would love to see it come back.
It’s 100 times better than Cougartown- for sure. Wish they would have cut that one instead.

@Laurie: Nope. Not yet.

Hi there

I am so desapointed, I found Eastwick browsing of I tunes and even for one season, I thought it would be interesting
Yesterday I saw the last of the 13 eposides and what a surprise to see that producers did not even wrap up the show! This last episode let you think about so many possible scenarios! It is a real shame and pity, I really loved this show, almost as I loved Buffy or charmed

Bring back Eastwick

DH September 18, 2010 at 12:40 pm

You atleast air the remaining episodes so we can see what happens. Why do they always take off the good shows and leave stupid stuff on like survivor and big brother and that junk..

Natalie London September 15, 2010 at 7:45 pm

I am certain that the fans of the show would appreciate it if the network would be so inclined as to at least wrap-up the series before pulling it. The show was excellent in my opinion, as it left me gasping for more each week. Maybe the network executives are so concerned with their bottom-line that they forgot that their sole purpose is to entertain the masses. Oh well, I never really watched anything on ABC anyway; I guess now I understand why.

Karen September 12, 2010 at 2:26 pm

Its too bad that they didn’t finish the series. They could have at least done that for the ones who did watch the show…..
