I loved Easy Money. I have taken a few loans from payday loan stores and can relate to the problems that lead borrowers to predatory lenders. This series belonged on cable--or maybe Fox. This was not a CW show. One reason is that a much of the action involved understanding what the characters were not saying to each other. Body language and implied messages were important. An example of which was the exchange between Manny Momayo and Bobette. When he was delivering his message to "the man," in essence he was telling her, "I know you're the one in charge." Morgan was one of the few characters whose loyalty to his family--especially his mother Bobette--was constantly challenged by his ethics. Should he remain in the loan business despite the obscene interest rates it charges its members? Should he remain bonded to the Bufkins despite the enormous lenghts Bobette went to to disguise the identity of his natural mother and the circumstances of his birth? Should he tell is budding love interest Julia what he really does for a living?

I loved everything about this series: the acting, the writing, the location. Although I realize I'm one of the few true fans of Easy Money, I wonder if other fans would like to share their opinions.
