ABC you finally had a decent show, w/a a great cast of characters and you cancel it. But year after year you air the bachelor/bachelorette a reality show about desparate people, none of the relationships last past the season finale….ABC must only cater to those w/an IQ of a 13 yr old!!! Bring ELI back!!

Where is ABC checking the ratings? Eli Stone was a good show and it made you laugh and cry and instead of those awful reality shows. I’m not sure I should continue with the only other ABC show I watch “Grey’s Anatomy” because for sure they will cancel that since I like it. I’m sticking with CBS since they nabbed up Medium from NBC. Yeah CBS! You have my vote!

The reason ratings dropped is because people went to bed! Bad time slot! I can’t stand Dancing with the Stars or any of those reality shows. I recorded Eli Stone and watched it at a more convienent time with my family. Does that get pegged as being watched? hmmm ABC please bring it back and give it an earlier time slot! hey, give it dancing with the stars time slot, the only reason people are watching is because there is nothing else to watch and it is the lesser of the annoying shows on at that time.

Yes, I agree this is a real loss. The casting was excellent, the characters played off of each other very well and the messages were right on especially during a time when civi liberties have been so eroded in this country.

This was one of the best shows ABC had. The others were Boston Legal and Men in Trees. All cancelled because ….?????? I’ve decided to stop watching anything new on ABC because they just cancel it anyway and leave the garbage on like the ridiculous “reality” shows. I’m switching to CBS where they have Ghost Whisperer and now Medium. Bye Bye ABC

This is a great show with a tremendous cast and entertaining writing. This all adds up to an engaging show. You will see its numbers grow if you keep it. How about 9PM is a terrible time slot, and maybe those 11 million viewers are going to bed instead of changing the channel? Eli Stone is and was the best show on TV, period. ABC made a terrible call in cancelling it.

I was hoping they would bring it back into a better time slot, like say anything before 10PM on the east coast. Bummer, not only is it in the same time slot, but it’s on Saturday night. Looks like they’ve given up completely.

I am very disappointed that they are canceling this show. It was a great show. What we get is Survivor, The Bachelor (we have yet to see a happy ending to that show, but they still keep bringing it back) Eli was a fantasy. Something we need in these times. I really liked when the characters sang. The people I know who watch it said they do not watch new shows any more because they always get canceled. I’m not sure if I like them to be canceled right away or let you get hooked on the show first before they cancel it. Well, guys stay with the gore and death because that seems to be all you all leave on TV. As you can see from my two examples ABC is not the only station to leave bad shows on.

it’s too bad that all the ABC broadcasters dont want to try to work with a show to see where it could improve its ratings but would rather invent a new show (like all the other out there) involving sex and super ridiculous drama reality shows, using people who probly couldn’t get past writing their own name on an IQ test.
Eli Stone has character, it has something for the whole family and its SAFE to leave on th tv if you have kids. I’m very dissapointed in the network to concider just getting rid of that show.

If the ratings are low it’s because 10 pm is late. I have an infant, and we go to bed after primetime, so I catch up online. Eli stone is… admittedly, a different kind of show, but a good kind of different! I’d love to see a season 3, 4, 5, etc.!

Out of all the garbage that is on TV these days, the cancellation of Eli Stone is truly a sad reflection of our society and what they put value in. This is one of the few redeeming shows on TV that portray and encourage making the world a better place. This show really pushes the boundaries and engages us (me) on a subject that is rarely delt with, faith. And it is done through the most meaniful way, relationships. I pray for it’s continuation.

Why can’t you leave one show for those of us who enjoy creativity, great story lines, wonderful, personable characters that might actually make us THINK a little. I abhor the fact that ABC has cancelled Eli Stone and will join any ABC boycott that may happen. I intend to go back to cable and stay there. I invested a lot of time in a couple of your shows (Pushing Daisies being the other that I am shocked that ABC has cancelled). What’s up with this? I think someone over there made a very bad decision.

DON’T CANCEL “ELI STONE” PLEASE. My 75 year old mother is having a fit. This is her favorite show. It’s one of my 2 favorite shows.
Try it on a night that’s not opposite “Without a trace” and whatever NBC has on at 10 PM.
You need to give this show a chance. It’s one of the best written, and best cast shows on television.
PLEASE DON’T CANCEL IT.

I’m so disappointed in ABC. You’d rather continue to create plot lines revolving around the end of the world, violence, gay romances and sex than give the rest of us something to watch. I don’t want those storylines shoved down my throat all the time! I genuinely enjoy Eli Stone. A show about people taking care of other people regardless of what it costs them. And, now to know it may not “end” in a way that would give us faithful apparently few a sense of closure!?!?!?!?! Now I know why I stick with Food Network and HGTV. Every show is like the next. I don’t have to worry about language or “adult situations” and my daughter can learn something if she’s in the room. At least I don’t have to worry about becoming invested in a cast or a storyline that the oh-high-muckity-mucks at the “We’re only here to stuff our pockets” network will cancel out from under me. (I would buy the 1st season . . . and maybe a 2nd season but I’m not going to give the mucks any more of my time or money!!!!)

I am in the demographics ABC is targeting with this show. I watch over-the-air TV via TIVO. Eli Stone was my #1 favorite last year. The writing was very clever. The plotlines were interesting but the dialog and character interaction was what made it great. The cast is nearly perfect.
Season two had a very rough start. The opener had so much plot that the characters couldn’t really act, all they could do is play stereotyped roles with dialog that tried to explain the plot lines. The introduction of God in the first episode was heavy handed. That idea is something that could have been explored through the whole season. Then later on Taylor gets pregnant. That is almost as cliche as gunfights and car chases. I stopped watching the show for a while but still have them and may go back and watch them. Recent episodes seem to have found a stable formula again. I think a Season 3 could still be successful somewhere if not ABC as long as the actors are given clever dialog and not plot explanations, the writing stays away from cliches and they don’t throw in more plot than a 1 hour show can handle. One other comment. Commentors above say this is a family show but the last episode Eli was jumping into bed for some casual sex and the rest of the cast was commenting on him getting laid. That’s not exactly a family theme. If a network were to put the show earlier in the evening the writers would need to tone that stuff back. Sex scenes are usually boring anyway (although the one in the pilot was funny).

I feel that because ELI STONE has a good message and is in relation to visions from GOD, it is being cancelled. It seems that God is being taken out of everything and it really is a horrible thing to do. This show really has a great message about outcomes and real circumstances, like trying to see the real truth behind struggles. God is always there and it is sad that everything is trying to push him out.

As a private investigator, I love to watch Eli Stone. A very smart lawyer with great story lines, it is true entertainment. Boston Legal, on the other hand, started out good, but as the seasons have progressed have gotten way too political. Eli Stone, though, gives us that extra motivation to do what is right, and often encourages professionals in the legal industry to represent those who truly can not afford it.
ABC, you are making a HUGE mistake if you cancel this series.

First was Commander in Chief, canceled in the second season, then Big Shots canceled after the first season, why does ABC cancel all the good shows but keeps the crap running like “Brothers & Sisters”

I already sent an email reminding them of their history of great shows cancelled within one to two seasons (Sports Night – My So Called Life). ABC is notorious for this, and it isn’t like they have a bunch of great shows on the air now…According to Jim anyone. There is so little suitable for children and teens (and adults who don’t like near pornography, violence and gruesome crime stories). I agree with above posts, I love this show. Unfortunately it aired on the same time slot that my then favorite show House was on on Tuesdays. I recently rented the whole first season and couldn’t stop watching it til it was done. The end of the first season was such a cliffhanger than when I learned it was “cancelled” I was angry! Needless to say when I looked into it I learned that there were still some episodes left that had already been made, but the eventual demise still upsets me. It’s too bad quality shows get the can just because they aren’t #1 in their time slots.

My family loves this show!! ABC needs to really rethink canceling Eli Stone. It is so different from all the other shows on the air now and before. This show has great messages and even though, it is a TV show it gives us hope every week that just possibly we can learn something from Eli, and what he has gone through to be a better person. I am so sick and tired of all the CSI shows, and people being murdered on prime time. We usually watch ABC ,however, if you take off Eli Stone I will also do some rethinking about changing what network we watch. I hate when the great shows get the AXE, and I want to know why you would even consider it.You have 6.3 million LOYAL FANS watching this show now. Change the day or the time slot

ABC has made some big mistakes recently by cancelling shows that have loyal followers like Eli Stone, October Road, and Boston Legal. These were my three favorite shows on television. Why should I invest any time in the future in ABC’s programming when they are so short-sighted that they pull great programs after only one season. I’ll just say “no” to ABC.

I cannot believe that ELI STONE and DIRTY SEXY MONEY are being
cancelled. These are just about the only 2 shows I watch either on
line or on DVR. I really believe that there is a HUGE audience of
these shows that is not properly being represented.

It has been done before ….good, decent shows are cancelled and
replaced by a mid season junker, but shows have been saved by fans
contacting the network and telling them how awful it would be if the
show was cancelled……and it saved the outcome of the show.
Supposidly they are going by Neilson Ratings, but it does not capture
people who DVR, TIVO it or watch it on the web. . I know you all are
busy but it would only take a few minutes of your time. If you can
send this to everyone you know……maybe you can help me save the
show!

I don’t care if it is gone or not just do NOT do to us what you did with October Road!!!!! A season finale that turned out to be a series finale that was full of cliffhangers! Don’t get me wrong I LOVE Eli Stone but if it was to go then just give us a darn ending.
