Eli Stone and Dirty Sexy Money: Cancelled TV Shows Set to Return

Eli Stone and Dirty Sexy MoneyWe reported a couple days ago that the critically-lauded but low-rated Pushing Daisies was finally returning to ABC on May 30th. It was suspected that Eli Stone and Dirty Sexy Money would be back as well and we now have confirmation.

Eli Stone, which stars Jonny Lee Miller, Victor Garber and Natasha Henstridge, was cancelled after two short seasons on the air. The last episode to air, “Two Ministers,” was shown on December 30, 2008. The four remaining episodes will be burned off at 10pm on consecutive Saturday nights; June 20th, June 27th, July 4th, and July 11th. The series finale revolves around Eli having a vision and believing that one of his friends will perish in a plane crash.

Dirty Sexy Money, starring Peter Krause, Donald Sutherland and William Baldwin, was also cancelled after two brief seasons. The most recent installment to be broadcast, “The Organ Donor,” was shown way back on December 17, 2008. Money will take over the Saturday 10pm timeslot from Stone and the four unaired episodes (including the preempted Thanksgiving installment) will run on July 18th, July 25th, August 1st, and August 8th.

The series finale of Money is full of surprises. Simon tells Nick why he hates the Darlings and makes a confession about Nick’s father. Lisa decides to write a tell-all book and Karen embarks on a long-overdue relationship.

The second seasons of both Stone and Money are expected to be released on DVD but the release dates haven’t been announced yet.

Loved this show. Why did you not give it more of a chance instead of moving it from timeslot to timeslot? This was a show I watched with my whole family and there are too few of those anymore. Please rethink about this great, great show.

sucks! im sick of all these so-called reality shows. they cancel shows that give us actual televised entertainment, and fill the tv slots with uninteresting reality shows.

Dirty Sexy Money was our favorite series — it is so disappointing not to look forward to the antics of the Darlings — I can only hope that since the final episode was a “cliffhanger”, a more listen-to-the-viewers network picks it up!

Cancelling Dirty Sexy Money was so disappointing. It makes me apprehensive about getting started watching any new dramas because they will get cancelled as soon as you wrapped up in them. Dirty, Sexy Money was very good. You did not end it very well, more of a cliff hanger. Please bring it back.

So sad.
