Emily Owens, MD: Not Cancelled (Yet)

Rumors have been circulating that The CW’s Emily Owens, MD has been cancelled. It appears that they stem from a Vancouver set photographer, Susan Gittins, who tweeted, “Sad news today. Vancouver-shot #EmilyOwensMD cancelled. A charming show that got lost in Fall launch.”

The CW PR folks quickly disputed the rumor and Gittens later recanted, writing “Apology for false report. Was told today by reliable source that #EmilyOwensMD cancelled. The CW says show still in production.”

Unfortunately, Emily Owens, MD still looks destined to be cancelled. The new show has been getting terrible ratings and currently averages a 0.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 1.27 million total viewers. Aside from Friday’s Nikita, it’s the network’s lowest-rated show in the demo.

What do you think? Do you like Emily Owens on The CW? Do you think that they’ll keep making and airing new episodes?

LOVE this show..would be a shame if it cancelled. CW needs to market it more..the way they market Arrow and BEauty & the BEast

This is the worst show on television. Poorly written, even by CW standards. All the posts by people connected with the show who are trolling this site are transparent. Cancel this turkey!

Am really hoping the show doesn’t get cancelled. Me and my sis are in love with it.
What i like most in the show is that I think everyone can relate to it.
This is my first time of deciding to watch a med-series and I actually love it. It’s light and heartwarming. <3 great cast!!! :)

Call me a geek or a dork, I don’t care. I really enjoy Emily Owens, M.D. I find Mamie Gummer does a great job of portraying a character to whom I can relate. I loved the show within the first seconds of watching it and I watch it religiously. Please don’t cancel it!
