Got to agree with Ryan. I first saw this show in Cyprus on holiday and got really hooked. The main character, Andy Brown, is a hugely successful surgeon who lets his family and his wife pass him by until it is too late and his wife dies. Realising his mistake he throws himself into his family and the real commodity in life, people and friends.
So what if the fact he does not charge is unfeasible? You wanna watch a documentary go buy dvds of the Discovery channel. And of course Ephram is moody – he’s a teenager! They all are! If you want to watch a show that quite literally draws you in so that you are dying for the next episode immediately, give Everwood a try. There is a great mix of characters, some genuinely well thought out storylines (depression, cancer and drug addiction to name a few) that really bring home alot of messages but mixed with some really good humour and clever scripting. Treat Williams is just great, in fact all the characters are – the casting is A1. I am from the UK and i love it!

To the comment above me, Everwood is the best show ever. You need to like Drama Shows, and you also need to watch most of the episodes to actually like it.

Psh…this is the worst show ever created. who ever even watched it from beginning to end was retarted…I only watched it to laugh at how stupid it was. I mean come on…it’s so unrealistic. Andy Brown (Treat Williams) is the most ******* of a character ever. I mean really, he lives in a big city and is a famous doctor…then he gives it all up and moves to a small **** town and still continues to be a doctor but get this HE DOESN’T CHARGE! now who the **** would do that? I mean how are you going to make a living if you don’t get paid…how the hell does he support his kids? I mean is he so rich from living in New York that he has enough money for the rest of his life…it’s just too unrealistic. Then his son Ephram is stupid too. He’s so depressed all the time it’s like he’s cynical or manic or something. I mean what’s his problem. I know his mom died but really let life go on…stop moping like you’re going to die yourself. As for the rest of the characters…well, there’s not much going for them either. The other doctor, Harold Abbott (Tom Amandes) is just annoying. It’s like the first season of this show I just wanted to slap his face. He’s sarcastic and acts like a wimpy bitchy house wife. Even his wife is better than him. He acts so dumb. This show is just a complete waste of time…I am so glad it’s not on anymore. Who ever buys the dvds must be insane. As it is it stayed on the air 4 years and should have been cancelled by the fifth episode. Who the hell would want to watch it again? And for those who have never seen it…do yourself a favor and don’t buy the dvds! it’s a complete waste of your time…please go watch something better than this pathetic crap.
