Fargo: Season One Ratings

Fargo TV show ratingsFX has been promoting Fargo as a “limited series” but that certainly doesn’t mean that it can’t be renewed for a second season with a new story and characters. Will this show be a ratings success? Stay tuned.

A new take on the classic movie, Fargo follows a drifter (Billy Bob Thornton) who comes to the community of Bemidji, Minnesota and starts influencing the population with his own brand of malice and violence. The cast includes Martin Freeman, Colin Hanks, Allison Tolman, Bob Odenkirk, Oliver Platt, Kate Walsh, Glenn Howerton, Joey King, Peter Breitmayer, Tom Musgrave, Josh Close, Russell Harvard, Adam Goldberg, Keegan-Michael Key, and Jordan Peele.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

7/21 update: FX has renewed Fargo for a second season of 10 episodes.

Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.

Cable ratings are typically released within a day or so of the show’s airing, except for in the case of weekends and holidays. They are sometimes harder to locate so there may be occasional delays or gaps.

What do you think? Do you like the Fargo TV series? Do you think that it should be renewed for a second season?

To keep it simple: Great Show!!

Spectacular on every level. Writing, acting, cinematography, humor . . . it’s all stellar. It would be “criminal” if FX doesn’t give this show one more season to hit even greater heights. Bravo!

True tale – I was the morning rock jock at KQDS/Duluth thru the early 80’s, and raised in Milwaukee and Twin Cities. The amount of work to get that accent spot-on is outstanding. It is a very strange area, in a really wild way. Residents of that area really DO speak that way, but behind that crazy way of relating brings residents together in a way I can’t explain. Most rock radio stations have softball teams – in Duluth, it’s that ice skating sport with brooms and a heavy round disk…buying beer in that area is harder than getting a neighbor to snowblow your sidewalk. The delicate balance between the cast is magic, the backstory of the area is unbelievable, and Allison, I would love to marry you!

Love the show Fargo like it better than the movie. Keep up the good work.

its the only show on TV that is completely impossible to predict what will happen next, the twists and jumps in the series make it impossible to resist for me, as soon as I think I know what’s going to happen the whole series take 15 different turns. I hope to god they figure out a way to keep it going, maybe same characters but different storyline. Something, PLEASE!

Love the show. Without Billy Bob Thornton, I don’t know if it would be quite as good. He carries the show.

Renewed? With a new story and characters?

Then you are no longer watching Fargo…

Bob Graner June 2, 2014 at 6:09 pm

Hell yes it should be renewed. The show is great. Love the twists and the evil. I’ve lived in Mandan and Bismarck and Fargo ND. Not all folks have the accent but a good number do.
