When will studios learn the lesson that a long hiatus in the first season is the kiss of death for ANY series. It seems like a lot of good “thriller” series die off due to poor executive decisions by the studio execs.

As a good example… the new V series has a huge FIVE MONTH hiatus until yet again … after the Olympics … it shows back up in March. PLEASE, studio execs, if you want a series to survive, give it a chance in a time slot you are willing to devote for at least half a season straight, or make the show into a mini series and chloroform it from the start.

I agree George. “Fear Itself” was a lot of fun and I’m looking forward to the unaired episodes on 9/2 at http://www.fearnet.com/shows/fear_itself/index.html

The reason Fear Itself was not a big hit is a simple one; horrible promotion. It’s time slot was bad enough, but forgetting that it was on because of not seeing any reminders during other NBC shows is inexcusible.
