I was actually enjoying something other than twilight and I have been into twilight for like one and a half years! but to have Gilmore Girls end like that was very DISAPPOINTING! please finish it properly it feels like a total waste of time having watched all the seasons and enjoy them and then have it end like that

I am dyign for there to be a season 8!!! I have just finished watchign the whole set box and its devastating to know that no questions are answered nor are some of the characters story lines. I dont expect a happy ending for everyone but at least some sort of closure for the characters…
its crazy to be have given us such a fabulous show that we have embarked with the highs and lows of the story lines and then to end it like this! it puts a sour taste in my mouth just to think about not knowing ….

My gosh, i’m still not over it.
After watching the final episodes again this week, it’s just horrible to think we will never know anymore.
For me it was like watching my mum and I on the television, i just felt so connected.
The actors are soo very talented and it’s a true shame for their characters stories to be cut off.
We shall never know :O

I was looking so forward to having another season with one of my favourite shows. I would like to see Rory settled I think with Jess – they have similar interests with writing etc., and of course Lorali with Luke and seeing her relationships with both her mother and luke develop into wonderfully happy times. Have one – one hour finally closing tieing up all the characters lives – it would be wonderful having closure that puts things in the right order for the viewers.. thanks for having me vent my concerns and feelings.

I’m very disappointed in the final episode of Gilmore Girls…they left Laurali and Rory’s character completely hanging. What happened with Logan and Rory? Was that it, Logan just leaves? as many others, I’m disappointed. The ending doesn’t fit. We watched Rory develop and now we know nothing about her. We don’t know anything about Luke and Lorelay, they just kissed and…?

I loved the series, but the end just isn’t worth it. They deserve better.

Maybe you just wait whether Obama makes ist and then go on when Rory comes back.

Whatever you do, just do it and don’t leave us faithfull fans with that crap of an ending.

I’m from Germany so I happen to just have seen the final episodes… This is so disapointing and so evil to all the fans! We’ve stayed tune for 7 years now and really felt GG to be part of our lives. The fans deserved a satisfying ending. But now? Rory has a crappy job at an onineMag, Logan is gone for no reason (that doesn’t fit Rorys character at all…) and Loreley still hasn’t learned to “communicate” (most of her relationships broke up because she had stupid secrets). There was NO character development at all! At this state – without Loreley (and Luke) have actually changed, one can imagine them to break up soon again…
It would have been so easy to do a proper ending (without being “schmaltzy”), but in my case the last two episodes of all the seven seasons ruined it all. I even don’t like the 2 girls anymore. In the past I loved viewing all DVDs out of my GG collection but now they only make me angry and even the older episodes are ruined because of the crappy ending.

Gilmore Girls is the most amazing show that I have ever watched and I refuse to believe that it can be over. I think Alexis Bledel is a big part of the show and I love her story. I think she should think about what she would be giving up if she left the show. If I was her I would strongly consider what I would be giving up. Gilmore Girls is a wonderful show and if I was a part of that I wouldn’t want to leave, every one of her fans must be devestated that she is leaving Gilmore Girls. I know I am. Season 7 was so awful I am almost relieved to see it put out of it’s misery. They cheated us by letting Amy get away, no matter the difficulties in working with her. It was about time Gilmore Girls was cancelled. I, too, am a huge fan. I watched Gilmore Girls since day 1. However, the story lines and dialogues have gone downhill since the beginning of Episode 7. It felt like they had no more stories left and just kept writing scenes that would fill up the one hour show. Characters were undeveloped. Lane…Sukie…Paris…the grandparents…there could’ve been more stories regarding these characters. It was better off that they cancel the series than drag it on another season that will have uncreative, “blah” stories.

Gilmore Girls is definitely one of the best TV shows I have ever seen, miles away from the crap we see over here. That´s so unfair. Not just that Gilmore Girls is worldwide the most successful show…even that it just got 7 seasons. Even one more season would not be enough. Gilmore Girls is even more successful than 7th Heaven (11 seasons), so Gilmore Girls deserves more than 11 seasons. I wished Amy Sherman and her husband never had left the show because then that never happened.They had filmed Gilmore Girls untill season 12. Its so much in this show, so much interesting and drama that you could fill in at least 6 more seasons. Gilmore Girls is the best show we have forever and no other show can chance that. Gilmore Girls is just more than a tv – show… and will ever be the best show worldwide. Bring Amy Sherman back and let her film her season 7 and more (untill season 12)! The season 7 we got was bullsh*t! Luke and a daughter, was the most stupid story ever! I miss you Amy Sherman and Daniel. A show like Gilmore Girls we never get again!!! I just want you to know I hope you both come back (or at least on of you) to shoot many more Gilmore Girls seasons. I will never loose the hope… Gilmore Girls forever!

After all these years what a let down, I have to plan dinner for exactly 8:00 tues. so the entire faminty has dinner togerher and watches Gilmour Girls. Sorry but, Luke and lauralei should have married. The last season the writers let the show down. One week there woulkd be a new episode then a repeat the next week, this went on for several weeks, Jan,Feb,+. This is a great family show in a small town, so now what nore bionic fighters, we lost the best family show of a small town, that made you feel it is really possible. We shoul not lose a good show just because the writers block or can not get along. WB had a great idea and maybe CW this fall should have something like the Gilmour Girls come home. CW sorry but right now your evening lines up stinks, if 7th heaven can extend so can Gilmour Girls.Take a chance you have nothing to lose, things are lousy now, and I hate to have you put more,murder smallville, Just remember we even watched the reruns, Give it some serious thought!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, I’m 26 years old, I am a huge fan of Gilmore Girls,I live in the Dominican Republic, I watch the show since it started, and the reason why I like it so much is because it is a nice, smart, funny and no traditional story, with a contemporary flavor that promotes family values, like love and unity. Everybody wanted to see more of it. There were a lot of things to say before it abruptly ended. We needed to know more about Rory’s future as a professional, her friends, what was going to happen to her romantic life. We also wanted to know more about Lorelai, she never got to talk to Luke the way we expected. Luke was a great and important character, and for no reason he stayed behind in the final episode there is no excuse to that. I wanted to see a wedding, or at least a new commitment between those two. Everybody knows that Lorelai always wanted to get married with Luke, even though she did it with the wrong guy, and that Luke has been always in loved with her, even though he was pushing her away with his daughter at the end.
I feel dissappointed by the way Rory ended up with Logan. The guy was in loved with her, he was sorry for his mistakes, he loved Rory and they enjoyed being together so much, even though they were not meant to be together, I think that they, “as a couple”, deserved a better end.

Rory’s grandparents didn’t talk that much at the end either, they deserved more than that, they had a priviledged place in the series so I don’t get why it had to be different at the end…

Well, I’m so sad to hear that there will no be a season 8 but I want to say to Amy Sherman Palladino that this is a masterpiece and that she can do something amazing with this story, go ahead with that movie of the GG, you deserve it, and more importantly the audience deserves a decent end, people is waiting for that, the characters, the story has so much to offer. Please give us a hope, a happy ending, give us the “Amy Shermann Palladino-final-episode” that everybody wants, and thank you for entretaining us with this wonderful show.

As a loyal fan of the Gilmore Girls over the past seven years, I am sad to see the quick ending of such a fine show. There are very few programs on TV that are as creative and well-written that my entire family can enjoy viewing together. We will miss our weekly visit to Stars Hollow and the story lines that introduced us to some memorable characters.

The last two shows were about as abrupt and disappointing as one could ever imagine. The relationship between Rory and Logan did not end in a believable way with an unrealistic ultimatum, not to mention the completely unresolved dynamic between Luke and Lorelai. While something can be said for allowing viewers to imagine their own conclusions, the series finale leaves one feeling unsettled and dissatisfied. Does this leave the door open for a future come-back for this show?

I sincerely hope that another family-oriented program will be introduced to fill the void left by the departure of the Gilmore Girls. Until then, my family has no reason to tune into the CW.

I too loved the show and im sad to see its over but with rory done with yale the series would have needed a completely different plot in order to continue. she cant just go back to star hollows, she needs to get out into the real world.. it was 7 nice years, so i think its best to have a proper ending (although when you don’t want a show to end, you won’t like any ending anyway) than have the story turn into a “what the hell is this” as X files, Melrose Place and other shows i really liked that turned into crap just because the producers wanted more seasons. about the ending.. it left some loose ends but i did like it.. the show was never about romance, its about mother and daughter, so ending it with a wedding would not have been right.. that’s for soap operas. One more thing, i dont get why people like Jess so much.. he was ok as the bad boy teen romance, but come on.. it takes more than being hot and reading lots of books to make a relationship work. i actually liked logan better.. he oppened rory up to new stuff and made her realize many things about herself, so marriage or not, it was a good realtionship.. mmm… anyway since there are still loose ends maybe the CW can prepare a special 2 hour christmas episode or something in a few months to cover those.. i would really like that.. we can only hope =)

I agree the finale sucked as there wasn’t a resolution type ending. It almost seems as if they didnt want to resolve it as maybe they were leaving an opening in case things changed down the road. A great resolving ending would have decreased their options to work with the show at a later date.

I am very upset that Gilmore Girls is over. This show in my opinion is the last one left that isn’t to violent, or sexual to watch with my 7 year old daughter. My daughter and I have been watching the show together for a while now. Not only did we enjoy the show, but it gave us a chance to talk about the different situations that went on, laugh at charming, and witty jokes, and spend some quiet quality time together. We looked forward to our Tuesday night mother/daughter evening. We will still have our evening, however we wont be watching your station. I do not feel that Veronica Mars is an appropiate show for a child. Along with the fact that its a boring show.

And as for the finale, I am with the rest of the folks on this blog it was disappointing, and what about when the fires occurred and the programming was interrupted we never did get to see it!

I have been a fan of Gilmore Girls for a very long time. This past season it really seemed to go crazy with the story line-Lor going to Paris and marrying Christopher? It disgusted me, especially when you had built up Lor and Luke’s relationship the season before. Now I see the creative genius was missing and suddenly things make sense. Were the actors unhappy with their contracts/salaries? It always comes down to money. The CW will certainly lose viewers, which, in turn, will cost them in advertising revenue. What were they thinking? America needs more shows like this that are multi-generational and appeal to a vast audience. It was a show I watched with my daughter every week and we enjoyed it. Enough with the reality shows. America has serious issues going on right now and it sure feels good to turn on wholesome tv that the whole family can watch. The series finale was pathetic. So was the cancelation. Go back to the negotiations and do the right thing- I am talking to all sides and mediate this out. Quality programing is so hard to find and we need it. The same goes for Veronica Mars. We need more shows that give women diverse roles and still keep the family units together. Show the children who watch this program faithfully that adults make mistakes and when they do it is right to own up to them-say you were wrong and bring it back!

I am truely sad about the finaly of the gillmore girls. It was one of the best family girly shows on the air. My daughter and I have watched this show for as long as it has been on and It’s funny but our relationship is a lot like them. I am truely upset that they have yet taken another great family show off the air for what? More reality TV. This is the worst news I have had in a while. Warnner brothers should be ashamed. You will miss a lot of good fans for your station. what about Veronica Mars. That has to be the dumbest show on now. They should have taken that off instead. What a bunch of crap!!!

I’m very disappointed that Gilmore Girls is being cancelled. If the two main chacters do not wish to continue, then replace them. You have a whole town full of chacters in which to draw your story lines from. One of my favorite chacters on the show is Sukie. Have your writers work some other chacters into the Gilmore family or just go out and get someone else to replace the actors that wish to leave. Do something, use your imagination but don’ cancell the show.

What a shame about the Gilmore Girls. One of the few shows left I even want to watch, and now they ended it abruptly without the closure that faithful fans deserve. Forget CW/WB: they took away Felicity, Dawsons Creek, Everwood, 7th Heaven, now Gilmore Girls. Guess it just wasn’t trash TV enough for them!

This totally Sucks!! The ending was awful. It’s as if in the middle of the season they just said, okay let’s just wrap up a last minute ending and it was sloppy, it was just awful. I have watched Gilmore Girls since day 1. I am the same age as rory’s character and I grew up watching this show, I graduated with it, I went to college with it, and I was hoping eventually I would watch it with my own daughter (not that I have one yet), and it’s just so sad to see it end!
The ending sucked!! Rory should have married Logan and had her career, why did they feel she had to give one up to get the other? And what about Lorelei’s wedding? They should get back in the studios and whip up a really good ending, no need to explain why you’re showing it, everyone’s going to already know that it’s because the first one sucked!
Anyway……..It is VERY VERY Upseting.

I am so sad to see Gilmore Girls go. It was one of the most underrated and appreciated shows on television for the last 7 years. Even with a down turn in writing the writing was still some of the best on TV. I’ve honestly never written or gotten sad about a shows departure — but I am about this one.

I agree with Woopie. Once Rory made it into Yale (and all the while we thought she was going to Harvard – wow, what a twist!),
the tension was gone. The relationship between mother and daughter became flabby and artificial. And the “snappy” dialogue (the big reason I watched) no longer snapped, it tried too hard and became irritating. Time to say adieu to Stars Hollow.

I watch The Gilmore Girls every tuesday. My daughter and I love this show. We are both extremely angry that the CW would stop this series so early. The last episode was such a disappointment.

this is so unfair. there`s so much left undone. if they need writers i would be totally willing to volunteer. i wouldn`t even expect a lot for pay seeing i only have ever worked for minimum wage which was usually $8.00 an hour. and now i have been diagnosed with M.S. and the one thing i loved to do is watching the girls. such a shame.
