HELL NO!! You can’t get rid of “GLEE” . It is one of the best TV shows out there. I look forward to watching it every night, and I am soo glad the kids won at sectionals and that Mr. Shue FINALLY left his wife and went for Emma!!! They make the cutest couple!! PLEASE..Don’t get rid of this show. It teaches kids to have self confidence, self respect and among everything…if you believe it will happen.

I don’t get it.
I watch on the fox web site.
If I watched on my T.V. they wouldn’t know I was watching and therefore my not watching on the T.V. should not effect what ever ratings the show gets.
On the other hand my watching on the computer should if anything should help the show.
To watch you have to click on to their site and you get the video streamed on line to your computer.
As a result they would know that you are watching the show.
They do advertise so I don’t see why watching on the computer should be a problem.
Anyway it is a good show, one of the better ones and therefore it should be kept.

I go to a performing arts college, and every Wednesday night, my entire building shows up in our commons room to watch Glee! It’s nice to have a TV show that finally focuses on a aspects of life other than careless hookups, drugs, and neighborhood gossip. Especially for those of us who are in the performing arts in real life. Finally, something we can relate to!

This is another example of how HULU is killing network ratings. If you ask me, would i stay tuned in for an entire hour for this show with commercials. Heck no! Hell, I wouldn’t stay tuned for any show nowadays for an entire hour. That’s what HULU is for! You see, the plain fact is that GLEE is a great show. However, it is an hour long show. What network executives need to realize is that they are dumping their money into the wrong outlet. All that money spent on advertising, marketing, and research should have told them that normal TV is dying! No one these days watches TV. More and more people are turning to websites like HULU, to watch their shows. Why not advertise more on HULU and make HULU have their advertisers pay more to have their ads placed on a highly rated, popular shows such as GLEE, in order to get more publicity. That way everyone is happy. The advertisers pay HULU and HULU pays the FOX network. There is even TIVO where people are fast forwarding through commercials. Therefore, those people at FOX should stop complaining about poor ratings and recognize that GLEE is a great show but just not great enough for tuners to stay watching for an entire hour undisrupted. Web TV is the future get with the program.

It is their real voices! I did theater with matt ( the glee teacher) growing up and that is his real voice. This show has so much talent! I do wish they would put more into the script. The musical numbers r fun to watch and I love the mixture of show tunes with today top hits. But, for the veiwers who aren’t into musical theater, they need a better script to follow. I know the cast can handle it because the talent is amazing!

If they cancel it I will seriously ban Fox Television from my house… I LOVE this show. It’s so awesome, how can they even consider canceling it when most peoples responses is that it’s so addicting and good.? And plus, even if people don’t watch it on TV, hello, they have it on there site with less commercials! That’s how I watch it. Also, even if some people say they don’t like it, you know how people are, they say that because they don’t want to be judged for watching the show (not that watching it is degrading or anything). I think that Fox should keep it. It is a simply magnificent show.

GLEE IS AMAZING! When I heard that it was by Ryan Murphy, writer of Nip/Tuck my favorite show ever, I had to watch it and I was so not disappointed! I am in love with this show. I keep them on my DVR and watch them over and over and over again. Don’t Stop Believing is my ringtone

Fox has an extremely bad habit of canceling shows and I hope they don’t cancel this one because if the pilot is any indication of the remainder of the season it’s a winner. Fox needs to stop the bad habit of axing shows. I have started to like many shows on fox, but because of the cancellation rates I’m afraid to attach myself to a show and later be let down that Fox yet again will cancel a good show. I don’t usually post comments about shows or really anything for that matter. I wanted to write one this time because for the first time in a while a show really impressed me. I know there will be opinions galore and many out there won’t care for this series and that is just fine. Opinions keep everyone sharp and thinking. I am really impressed with Ryan Murphy’s work. One of my favorite shows and actually the only series I continued to watch was Nip/Tuck. When I heard Ryan Murphy was attached to this series I was instantly intrigued. I felt the pilot was simply enjoyable. The cast was diverse and talented and the overall direction had the Murphy touch which, as always, was great. I have been reading several other reviews and I am finding that people are taking this show, like many others, way too seriously. I guess that is common these days which is a shame. I am guilty of this too, but sometimes we need to put aside all the political and social criticism and just see these forms of entertainment for what they are. I also just wanted to note, the performance at the end, as non realistic as many out there put it, was what really hooked me. The rendition of the classic “Don’t Stop Believing” was one of the best I have heard. Anyway that is my take. I hope anyone that watches enjoys it.

I found Glee to be a unique take on a genre that can easily fall into cliche. The writing was sharp , the cast very talented , and the pilot episode had moments that inspired genuine glee. Given the least common denominator taste of the general public , I can’t help but believe that these factors will ensure it’s certain and expeditous doom.

I love this show! I have watched it twice now on hulu.com and am sure I will watch it again (and have added Journey’s Escape CD to my CD collection in my car!). This show actually made me nostalgic for my high school drama days in the 80’s and the musical numbers are terrific. Jane Lynch (as the cheerleading coach) is hilarious and is always a main reason to watch whatever show she is a part of. I really hope this show makes it- I haven’t enjoyed a new show this much in a long time.

Rest assured that I’m not a person that likes musicals or ever participated in drama/glee club in high school. I have zero musical/singing talent and only watched this show because I recognized the old lady that sponsored the cheerleaders from her role in 40 year old virgin and liked it. With all of that being said, I thought the pilot episode was tremendous and the young lady that plays Rachel is a phenomenal singer. I’ve actually watched the “Don’t stop believing” clip from the end of the show several times because she does such a tremendous job. I sincerely hope that FOX keeps this show around just because I’d like to see & hear what the writers have in store for the rest of the season.

Glee is a rare gem, and will therefor be a likely candidate for cancelation. Fox: please, please keep it on! It may take a full season to gain momentum, but it will! Rarely is a show cast so perfectly. Lea Michele is especially perfect and compelling.

More fun and music and goofiness and less death and dismemberment, but I fear this will just end up like Eli Stone, Pushing Daisies, Cupid and every other show that is different and not mainstream. When are they going to realize that every show can’t be in the top 10 and it’s okay to keep shows alive that are directed towards left brained people that are into violence.

I have been listening to “Don’t Stop Believin” ever since it first came out. I even downloaded it off iTunes, and I don’t download ANYTHING off iTunes. They cast members especially Lea Michele have amazing voices. I saw Lea perform once before back in 96-97 when I saw Les Miserables. Her voice has gotten 100 times better and she is beautiful. This show shows alot of promise and I can’t wait to see what happens next week.

I am positive that this show will be very successful. When i went to school the night after seeing this i was ecstatic about it, and while many people had seen it and liked it just as much as myself, there were a lot that hadn’t but wanted to catch it. From what i hear it is doing very well on i tunes where is sold for free, a very smart marketing move. By the time the fall season rolls along “Glee” will be doing very well in the ratings

I have watched this episode 3 times since it aired and the last number several more times than that. I absolutely loved every minute of this show. I too was a glee club/drama kid in high school and this episode brought back a lot of nostalgia for those days. I thought the singing was good as was the acting. I really hope that they keep this around. I hate seeing all the new quirky shows get cancelled before their time. This has the potential to be a great hour of family tv. I can not wait until the fall, especially if the episodes are as good as the previews make them out to be.

I will seriously cry if they cancel this show. Some of it was a little too stereotypical in spots, but I enjoyed the entire hour. The singing was incredible, the acting wonderful, and the songs they picked for the pilot were great. Clearly, they probably wouldn’t be able to do so many in just one normal episode. But that’s why I’m glad we were able to empathize with the characters, too. It was more than just tuning in for some good music.

I can’t wait for Fall.

Even after this received the highest rating and a very positive review from the fine TV critic Tim Goodman in the SF Chronicle, I was stunned how strong the pilot was – and how much I enjoyed it, rather than just appreciated it. My wife, who knew nothing about it before I suggested we watch it off the DVR (I had recorded it) was dancing her pregnant self off the couch by 2/3 of the way through the episode, and her disappointment over waiting until fall to see episode 2 quickly was mitigated when she put some Journey on the iPod.

I called a fellow TV connoisseur after the show for no other reason than to tell her I would save it so she could watch it in all its HD glory rather than across a tiny computer screen on the net, and I felt comfortable doing so what with the previews of the fall episodes seeming to show that the fun will continue this fall.

Maybe costs will drag those episodes down – can we have a “Rehab” number like that every week? – but otherwise, Fox hit one here. If its marketers smartly grow interest over the summer – maybe some mall tours w/the stars, maybe just encouraging the buzz online, maybe leaking episode 2 in small chunks or online to turn it into an event that gets people talking about it – look for an explosion next fall, not cancellation.

It’s one of a new fresh, original show on television now! It is SO good! I seriously enjoyed “Glee.” I LOVE singing, and I found myself singing along to nearly every song while I watched it! It’s such an amazing feeling to watch a show centered around kids like me who share such an intense passion for vocal music. It really makes me wish my school had a glee club, or that I had gone to the performing arts high school so I could help further my dream career as a singer. At first, I suspected this show was going to be much like “High School Musical,” and it did have similar elements to it–but I like how it was not a musical. There is music in it, yes, but it is not music to replace regular talking. The acting is much better, too, and I feel the passion from the actors’ characters, which I didn’t with HSM. Please don’t cancel this show! I don’t know how often I will be able to watch it when it comes on TV next fall, as I will be in college, but I will certainly try to watch it online or on DVR whenever I can! My mom and my little brother watch it too. This show appeals to not only teens and adults, but also to males and females, which is a hard thing to do. Music is a universal language, and it speaks to everyone. Let it keep spreading its message. Don’t cancel the show!

Oh, and, I don’t even watch AI. My mom told me to come and I saw the end performance and decided to watch it on DVR this morning. But I know she and my little brother were both disappointed with Adam losing, so…yeah. Last year, when David Archuleta lost, I turned off the TV very angry. I’m sure about half of the viewers of AI did the same this year, so you can’t really expect them to want to watch anything more when they’re so upset. :<

I was talking about it with some HS friends. We were all drama/music geeks back in the day. I need to be a writer for this show. If they’d let go of the stereotypes and the tired old predictable stuff, it could be a great show. It’s just that somehow I find it hard to believe in the American Idol era that ANYONE would get picked on for wanting to sing…and further, that they could only get five kids–all with personality defects. At my high school, people broke down the doors to get the coveted positions in the swing choir.

I just watched the pilot on the fox website (ratings are, well, overrated, as more and more people are watching shows online…I was at work when it aired originally) and I was smiling the entire time. I suppose I’m a bit biased cause I was a band kid all through high school and college, and although this is a bit more about the singing, the same themes and emotions are there and I can empathize with the whole cast. How many shows on the air can you really say that about? I think TV needs a show like this to give light to that side of high school life that usually just gets parodied. Maybe it’ll inspire some kids to join their own school’s club or maybe start one. I think networks often don’t give shows enough time to reach their full potential before they pull them cause of mediocre ratings.

I know I’m longwinded, but I think that from everything I’ve read so far about individual reactions to the pilot, if they did cancel it, there would be a strong backlash. Glee is great and I eagerly look forward to the fall!!

I loved it, it was Fame meets Camp meets Bring it On meets Sister Act 2 meets Arrested Development — why not go ahead and throw a few genres in a blender and make a tasty treat. Best of all, it has a degree of optimism we sorely need nowadays. Reality isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.

I personally love the idea that Fox is even trying this. But then, I was a glee kid too, so maybe I’m just reliving? Whatever the reason, it’s nice to watch something and feel good for a change. I think Glee is a gooey hot fudge sundae for the soul.

I loved this show :] it was amazing and they are all talented actors.
And haven’t they canceled enough of the good shows leaving us crappy reality shows and what not, don’t get me some reality shows like Hell’s kitchen are good butt every network seems to cancel all the shows i love! Such as Life, Crusoe, and Jericho to name a few.

Anyways loved Glee i hope it stay on for a long time.

I loved this show, it is so awesome. The competition’s song REHAB was hilarious. I watched it 4 times in a row. I couldn’t stop laughing. I hope they keep it coming. the kids are have the talent. crazy fun

This is one of the best shows I have seen in so long. It seems I get attached to a show and FOX or ABC will cancel it after 4 or 5 episodes. They don’t seem to realize the ability to TIVO or watch online that those “numbers” are basically meaningless with the current technology. As a drama and glee club geek myself, it has brought back some good and not so good memories, all which I have grown to appreciate. Programs like this do not exist for kids to watch with their parents, let alone entertain them at the same level. Parents are able to pick up on the politics involved with school programs like sports or the arts. I can’t wait and will probably buy the series on I-Tunes if it gets that far. Truly awesome and entertaining.

I loved the show so much! I hate that I have to wait until fall to see more! The music gave me goosebumps and the story-line is engaging. I can’t wait to see more!
