Hannibal: Season One Ratings

Hannibal TV show ratingsNBC’s previous Thursdays at 10pm drama, Do No Harm, was quickly cancelled. Will the network have better luck with Hannibal? We’ll see.

The cast also includes Laurence Fishburne, Caroline Dhavernas, Aaron Abrams, Hettienne Park, Scott Thompson, and Lara Jean Chorostecki. NBC has ordered 13 episodes.

The show built on lead-in Go On by 45% and it’s the network’s best performance in that timeslot in over a year. Still, this can hardly be considered a winning performance overall.

Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.

Bottom line if hannibal was on cbs abc fx the show would be a hit. The show being too graphic is bs look at ameican horror story or the walking dead. Waaaaay mpre graphic with a big fan base and stellar reviews. Im afraid what happened to family guy on abc will happen to hannibal. Lets just hope another network qill recognize the geeatness of hannibal and pick it up. If people would give the show a chance they wpuld love it. Cbs is always number 1 along with abc cause they they have a good reputation with viewers. Nbc dont so people wont give nbc the chance it deserves. Too graphic is an excuse to not watch. I dont like moat of whats on cbs or abc and just cause everyone watches those networks dont make their programs any better.

This show needs time to find its audience. Yes it is dark, but intelligent, challenging, and beautifully acted. Complex chacters need time! Remember the early days of your landmark series, Homicide. Patience was rewarded. NBC. Came to stand for excellence. Please NBC, be brave- give this one a chance to mature. Hannibal draws a fascinating, chilling psychological portrait of complex symbiotic relationships between 3 gifted but deeply damaged men. Don’t allow a short term ratings stumble, likely a result of an actual assault on innocents in Boston, scare you off of your initial and courageously correct decision to provide an original, high quality product on TV.

This show is absolutely amazing. I have been waiting for a show with this much depth, with this much intelligence for a long time. the acting is incredible, i mean, you can’t go wrong with Laurence Fishburne! Hannibal’s character is very in-depth, yet it leaves you wanting more. you want to know why he says what he says. the show may be a little graphic, when i watched the episode with the angel maker i had my neighbor over and he thought i was watching a snuff film. personally, i don’t find it too graphic, but i can see where others can, especially younger children. all-in-all, it is a dynamite series produced by a team of outstanding writers, actors, etc. it is well worth a renewal.

I wish they took into consideration the people that watch the show on Hulu. We are a busy family (As most are) and do not watch shows when they originally air.

Hannibal needs to be renewed. Such a great story with wonderful acting. With the horrible lead in and time slot it is doing well. If NBC gave it a better time slot or lead in, say Grimm it would increase its fanbase.

Hannibal is an amazing show. Hugh Dancy and Mads Mikkelsen are excellent in their roles. I’ve been telling everyone I know to watch this show and they all love it. This is a quality drama with quality actors, cinematography, and writing. Hannibal is my new favorite show that I look forward to every week.

Due to NBC’s cowardice censorship with ‘Ceuf’, it’s not surprising the ratings went down. But to cancel the next season would make all of the shows beauty in vain, and more importantly, a complete bastardization of Thomas Harris’s characters. They need to air the canceled episode online for the fans, and keep on as they were. GROW A BACK BONE NBC!!!

Couldn’t continue watching after episode 2. I can not understand, how they managed to make this plot so boring. Not surprised about ratings.

Should be canceled, due to incomplete. Anything beyond this first season is bound to be mellowed out, due to sensitive creators.
