I would buy the show on DVD, but because it was never finished, & got Canceled, it would just be a waste of money… Forget that…

Sadly I watched the Show wanting more, & this is what I get… Cancelation, WTF… I actually loved the fact the show included the mind… We had to put a puzzle togeather in order to solve a mystery… Which later would reward us with a Prize, i’m sad to hear that prize was never given out, because of the show’s cancelation…

There was a piece to the puzzle on each episode… Plus, the show was really interesting, & I dunno, I just got into it, you can’t honestly say that no one liked this show… Seriously?

There’s not even enough episodes to give your show a chance… Even if you just finished the series off on DVD, i’d be gladly willing to buy it, but just cancel it all together, geeze, I i’d much rather finish it on DVD, then canceling the show,
WTF…

I’m so disapointed in ABC & very, very much well fed up with their T. V. Shows being Canceled with only like up to 5 Episodes total, or even 1st season, or whatever, we need more then just 5 episodes to consider a good show, or not, geeze… Give it time…

Either give us our shows (we very much so like) back, or give us our life back, lOlz…

This happens to every single solitary show put on ABC / ABC Family…

If I didn’t like what I watched, i’d completely ignore the channel all together, these channels are so overated, & a waste of time watching… Cause everything you watch is canceled almost right after they air…

Thats BS!!!

I started the series on hulu and I was intrigued by the mysteryh but pissed off by the
delivery. Yes alice is the mystery man but why and what happened to the taken? So young
sheriffs mom is still alive and messing around if your going to cancel a show at least have the balls too answer some of the underlying questions. ABC your ego’s are to big

Not so happy town. This was a quirky show but it grew on me. Naturally about the time I started to get into it ABC yanks it. Why in the hell do we have to put up with 2 nights of dancing with the stars? How about cutting down the dance….give Tuesday night back to real shows… Tuesday could be screweday….yeah a line up of all the shows that got wacked by a dance loving programming manager. The line-up could feature shows like Ugly Betty, V (if ABC has their way), Happy Town, Flash Forward…and the list goes on and on. I am not sure what I hate more, Tom Bergeron or ballroom dancing. hmmmm

If you go over to http://www.hulu.com/search?query=Happy+Town&st=0
you will find the last 2 episodes of the series that were not aired on TV. There were only a total of 8 episodes made. Episodes 7 and 8 are only available online. You know, I was thinking how great it would be, if the producers couldn’t find a network or cable home elsewhere, to have the producers continue the show on DVD. You know I think there are still movies being made that never are shown in the theater but go directly to DVD. Hulu.com could provide the episodes online for free with the option to buy the DVDs. I So Wish that they could have done that with the excellent series “Invasion.” Thank goodness, in their case, they were able to air the complete first season before being cancelled so the minute that the DVD came out I snapped it up. You wanna know how desperate I am for more of Happy Town and, also, Invasion? I would be so grateful if there was NO OTHER OPTION – if the writers would continue to write – -only they would write novels that would be published books (paperback or soft-cover trade size, or even e-books if necessary) that would continue the series and of course,we would have to use our imagination to conjure up the brilliant actors who play the parts. sigh but I don’t think that would ever happen because these people are not authors, per-say, they write scripts for actors not pages for books. I’m gratified to see that even though Happy Town is off the air for good, people continue to post about it. Have a great coming weekend.

Happy Town is one of the better shows on TV, great plot, superb cast of character actors and very entertaining. It’s difficult to figure out why this show was not better advertised when all those crappy reality shows are on constantly and they all make me want to vomit they’re so bad. The writers of the show should have gone to HBO or Showtime instead of ABC for this one. Hopefully the final episode will be available to watch on line soon.

I can not believe that a show as cool as Happy Town got canceled before it even got a shot at reaching people…I mean , it had plots within plots, characters that kept you guessing, cool music. Wow. This situation truly bites–if any ABC brass out there are reading any of these comments you might try sticking behind your shows and actually promoting them for a change…some of us are sick of reality shows, cop shows (although I’ve got to admit I LOVE “Justified”, “The Closer”, “Cold Case” and “Without a Trace”), medical shows and blah, blah, blah. Here was like a really cool, cool show and it gets yanked. It’s ok to march to a different drummer ABC–you don’t have to be like all the other stations–I mean look at how awesome “Fringe” is!!!
Oh, and while I’m at it: why do shows just “disappear” anyway? No explanation to loyal fans–they just go away and never come back. For instance, who remembers “Jericho” or “Kyle XY” or “The Unit”?! And, where the heck is “Sons of Anarchy” and “Raising the Bar”? canceled also? I guess small peoples opinions don’t matter–you’ve got to be one of the masses to be heard…whatever.

They won’t bring it back. They bring nothing back after they cancel. . . and they cancel everything. ABC is so wishy washy that they don’t deserve viewers. I do believe that the series had kind of an ending though. Alice was the Magic Man and the Sheriff was her partner. I didnt explain why he mumbled about Chloe in the beginning though. They never made a connection (or why he cut off his hand). Too many things were never explained. I kind of thought may Chloe was his daughter…but we will never know. I wish Showtime would pick it up. It is their kind of show. ABC gets you hooked and then pulls the rug out from under you. Its like its fun for them.

Your shows seem to get the best publicity after they’re cancelled. I never heard of Happy Town till then, but I watched it and loved it. It’s not the first show this has happened with on this station. 8 episodes seem to be a record for you people. Advertise better and give shows a chance and maybe you won’t have to come up with something new every other day. Color me disappointed…again.

I can’t believe they have pulled Happy Town again. I really love this show. I don’t know who ABC is listening to, but all my friends loved the show. I am very unhappy about this decision. I won’t watch another series on ABC again. I don’t think any show could have competed against Dancing With the Stars and American Idol.

I just watched the last couple episodes online. Wow so good! Abc stinks! I’m done with ABC and never watching a show on this channel ever again. I just don’t feel like it’s worth it to invest my time in a show if ABC is going to pull the plug. I mean they cancelled this great show after 2 episodes? Really? They should’ve given this show a fair chance and at least gave it a shot in the Fall not just the beginning of summer. Good move ABC!

I’m mad. I loved the show and now I have to figure out when I can see the last 2 shows. Everytime I get interested in a show, it gets pulled. It’s not about the audience anymore…it’s all about the stations. I should just give up on TV altogether. At least this makes it easier for me to decide if I need to get rid of a bill, tv is the first to go.

This is the very reason that network television is destined to go the way of the Edsel. A perfectly mysterious story; albeit a weak dialogue script. Instead of trying to take advantage of a perfect marketing and entertainment opportunity, network TV management decides to scrap a show that could have had a limited, but profitable future. What you should have done is to have built momentum by using the twist of the story line and kept people guessing by faking the termination of the show and leaving clues about bring it back. Not the first time networks have missed this sort of perfect marketing approach. It demonstrates an inability of network execs to demonstrate vision beyond the end of their noses. Sad when the only vision is limited to pitiful reality shows.

I just got through watching the last 2 episodes of Happy Town online. I loved loved loved them! So many twists to the mystery. I adore Sam Neill and he did an amazing job of acting. I, also, especially like the actors who play Sheriff Tommy and his dad and Dan. There are others that I like really well too but I won’t list them here.

I really get irritated when media people seem to think that everyone has a computer, everyone has Internet access, everyone has an iphone, ipad, blackberry, or you name it. For various reasons, including economics, geographical availability, and interest (some people who are on a computer all day at work don’t want to sit and stare at a computer at home and some people are just Not Interested in Technology) Not Everyone Has a Computer or if they do they Don’t Have Internet Access and not everyone owns other electronics, etc. Even the people who Have Computers only have the basic broadband (high speed Internet) and some still have dial-up which makes video watching online pretty much of an impossibility.

I was going to stop watching “The Gates” (after the pilot aired) because of the uncertainty of new shows continuing to air. My cousin is continuing to watch it so I decided (since we like to talk about our favorite shows on the phone – she’s out-of-state) I would do the same. But you know what? The pilot was really really good and the second episode of “The Gates” was So Amazing that immediately after it finished, I actually found myself feeling a “stab of fear” that ABC would be cancelling this brilliant show soon and I felt such a horrible feeling of loss. It was like having the best meal that you’ve ever had in your life and then wondering if it will ever be served again. I’ve always had an active imagination so when I watch a show I become heavily invested in it very quickly if it is a really good show. Hopefully, “The Gates” will be alive and well – at least till the end of the season. A show that I loved on a different network cancelled it after the first season so the minute that it was released on DVD I snapped it up on amazon.com. The end of Season 1, while open-ended, provided enough answers for me that I was satisfied enough with the ending tp buy the DVD. I watch it about 2 or 3 times a year, every year and I get much enjoyment from it.

I am really upset that they are not airing the last two episodes. It is only 2 weeks and we need to find out who is the magic man. I love Happy Town. If they are going to put them on the internet then they need to hurry up and release it to the internet. I want to see how the story ends now, not a month down the road. And someone brought up a good point, everyone’s computer is not fast enough to watch the episodes on and everyone still does not have computers. They really should have just aired the last two shows.

GEEZZ! I actually got into this show and Eastwick! At least with Eastwick when ABC canceled it veiwers sorta knew the back round but there was more to go with that show if the writers stayed smart. But Happy Town! This can not be canceled yet! I WANNA KNOW WHO THE MAGIC MAN IS!?!?!?!? Is there one, is it Aliens? How is Mrs. Haplin in on it all? WTH!
I hope that for the followers ABC at least gives us something, because something is always better than nothing

BAND ABC HAPPY TOWN was thew best thing ABC has put on the air in a very long time & to NOT show the ENTIRE SREIES is just FLAT OUT B.S.!

My friends and I love Happy Town and have eagerly been awaiting its return tonight. Now I find out that not only did the show get canceled, but ABC isn’t even going to air the last two episodes!!! Why would it be better for ratings to air a rerun of Castle than to show the last two episodes of an exciting suspenseful show that I and many others have become addicted to?? Thanks a lot ABC—which in my mind stands for A Bunch of Crap!

This sucks, they just want to put more crappy reality shows on so they don’t have to pay money for better scripted shows. I guess I’ll have to stop watching network T.V. all together!!! Damn ABC!!!

ABC = Always Bad Choices. How about that “V” countdown timer during a crucial episode of “Lost” ? How can you show a “Castle” rerun (and I happen to like “Castle” and Nathan Fillion) instead of showing the final two episodes of “Happy Town”? Now that “Lost” is over, I have no problem boycotting ABC. How can you ask fans to get emotionally and intellectually involved in a show and then leave us all hanging? Not only that, but 2 weeks ago, the promo said “Happy Town” would resume tonight. You lying sacks of s*h*i*t !!

I think it is pretty crappy that you will not show the finale of Happy Town. It seens that good shows are taken off and bad ones are on in its place. It would not hurt you at all to show the finale on TV. Since that is probably not going to happen I and others need to now the website and when it will be shown on the web.
