We’ve received a few emails from readers asking if Harry’s Law has been cancelled. After all, the last original episode of the Kathy Bates series aired on January 18th.
The legal drama has certainly been struggling in the ratings and is one of the lowest-rated shows on the network this season. But, while it’s hard to imagine that Harry’s Law will be renewed for a third season, the series hasn’t been cancelled just yet. It does have a lot of viewers, just not in the desired demographic unfortunately.
Harry’s Law is on hiatus and won’t return until March 11th, once the February sweeps period has finished. NBC ordered 22 episodes for the current season so there are 10 installments left to air.
Since it’s likely that the show won’t be back, hopefully the cast and crew won’t leave viewers with a cliffhanger in the last episode.

This is an amazingly entertaining program…………great actresses and actors………slick and polished story lines…………well written, for sure—–200% better than any daggone reality show, that’s for sure! NEED TO KEEP IT——-THANK YOU!!
This is one of the best shows on t.v. The cast is great story lines interesting. Keep it on drop one the stupid reality shows, but keep HARRY’S LAW
We love Harry’s Law & miss it. We taped it every wk. at our home My brother live in Ark. all his family , children & grandchildren did to as well as our children grandchildren. Please bring back Harry’s Law. It is our favorite series’
This is my favorite show on tv!!! the problem is nobody gives these shows much of a chance anymore and are always screwing with timeslots….it needs at least 2 years for a show like this to catch on…i mean…damn..i think u should advertise more…love Kathy Bates…one of my favorite actresses and i am only 49….the entire show awesome…especially repoire with jimmy(Chris)

i feel with all the reality shows that are shown and not always worthy of viewing, that a sometime show like harry’s law is great to watch without trying to fiigure out things and just sit and enjoy a fun filled show with stories of sometimes real problems of real people. the cast is very enjoyable and likeable and many of us just love watching kathy bates, she is a great actress to watch and so is the rest of the cast. please return this show. thank you.
im fed up with the reality shows…. harry’s law was a super show of all shows… im a retired teacher and i have enjoyed this show and wish it to stay and not have to keep changing the channels to escape all the reality shows and music competitions. HARRY DONT LEAVE US…. WE ALL LOVE YOU………
I watch HARRIET’S LAW faithfully. I tape it every week so I can see the show. I work graveyard shifts and sleep during the day. please don’t cancel the show. Its the only one I really enjoy to watch.
Take off all the “reality” shows and let Harry’s Law alone. HL is the BEST on American TV
this show, harry”s law, is one of the best in every way. jean smart gives a performance as d.a. that should get her a long overdue emmy, and bates, too. supporting cast is a dream of an ensemble. move it if you have to, but let it be!
I am absolutely appalled, this is not the first show of mine that has been cancelled, but it is certainly the most upsetting! My friends and I would all sit down together and watch Harry’s Law, and let me remind you, we are all High School students! We would get done watching it and then we’d discuss the cases together! For us, the show wasn’t long enough! In fact, we wished it would have taken the place of “Smashed” and been extended another hour! Smashed? What a joke, there are a million shows like that out there, Harry’s Law was one of kind! After a few weeks of being cancelled, Smashed would have been completely forgotten! My friends and I are not the only High School aged teens watching it, many of my fellow peers engaged in the show! In fact, after my school band was featured in an episode, they all started watching it. Perhaps you didn’t give it enough time! The ratings and viewings were astounding regardless to whether or not the majority age group was over 50! I’m so sick and tired of all these singing drama crap shows taking over decent television shows!! I know I am not the only one, who is upset, but I was a weekly viewer and I absolutely loved the show! My respect for Kathy Bates is enormous and always will be, but my respect for NBC is gone!
Harry’s Law is the BEST! I was disappointed to find they weren’t running reruns because I missed some episodes. We love the show in our house, it isn’t like the other crap on TV these days.
Harry’s Law is the best show ever to come out of the USA and they have some good shows.
It is quite simple, here in Britain they have stopped making decent shows, they instead concentrate on stupid reality shows and soaps. Therefore the need for good USA shows to be shown over here has never been greater so please please make Harry’s Law for us Brits.
Harry’s Law is the best thing on television certainly as far as the UK is concerned. To stop it now would be a big mistake. So Americans dont want to watch it we British do!!! Dont show it in the States.
Bring it back! David Kelley is a genius. It is funny, intelligent, poignant maybe its not violent enough for the US.
I think Harry’s Law is an interesting, relevant show. I wish it could be continued next season. It is superior to so many of the shows offered on tv. I’m very disappointed that this quality show is to be cancelled.
