Hawaii Five-0: Season Four Ratings

Hawaii Five-0 season four ratingsOn this police procedural series, an elite state police task force fights crime in the 50th state. A reimagining of the original Hawaii Five-0 TV show, it stars Alex O’Loughlin, Scott Caan, Daniel Dae Kim, Grace Park, Masi Oka, and Michelle Borth.

This season, CBS has moved Hawaii Five-0 to Friday nights. Does this mean that the show is as-good-as cancelled or could it survive to be renewed for many more seasons? Time will tell.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.

I can see Hawaii Five O lasting 8 seasons. The 4th season has been excellent.Outstanding stories & great writing. The Pearl Harbor episode should win some awards & MCGarrett & Catherine pack a powerful 1-2 punch. Hawaii Five O & Blue Bloods complement each other well.I say HFO should be renewed.

I’m in that coveted 18-49 demo and I love H50! But I think the networks are going to have to start to accept this little thing called the “greying of America” and realize that ratings in the 1.5 – 2.0 range for the 18-49 group will be the new norm for many of their shows. Obviously, shows like H50, Blue Bloods, Person of Interest, Elementary, etc. are skewing older each year but they also draw 10+ million viewers each week — twice as many as the younger skewing shows and 3x – 4x as many as cable programs! That’s a lot of viewers with a lot of discretionary income for networks/advertisers to either a) ignore or b) gamble on them sticking around for a new show when one of their favorites is cancelled.

For instance, I didn’t check out any new dramas this year and only one comedy (Michael J Fox show which I watched about 2 1/2 episodes). I was going to watch Intelligence until I read the interview the lead actor (forgot his name) did in TV Guide this week and he comes across as a total azz so count me out on that one too.

By the way, I think we’ll get a fifth (and probably final) season of H50.

Don’t cancel it! It’s a great show! Maybe if you change the showing time and day , you would get more views. Nobody wants to sit home on a Friday night to watch tv , people go out on Friday nights and have fun. Maybe make it at an earlier time so the whole family can watch it including the younger children.

Hawaii Five O is a great show and should have at least 7 seasons. The cast and storylines are marvelous and some of the guest stars have been great! I wish they would bring back Lauren German, she had such a nice character.

I totally love the show, I hope it will have at least 7 seasons
I am a huge fan of Christine Lahti, she is incredible!

total viewer’s is good. but they go by the demo, this is clearly watched by older viewer’s. the problem is younger people are going out on friday night. so CBS should consider this. but they won’t. sad.

Actually, I think they take total viewership into more consideration with Friday night shows. On any other night, I don’t think Blue Bloods would have survived this long with their demo numbers.

I love the show and belive that it shoud have few more seasons .
With so many reality showes on TV , this action packed drama, with beautiful people and beautiful surounding of Honolulu and with real life stories in the
background are truly refreshing . Wish them a gray season !
Great start of this season ! Have to say that You saved the show by not
Making Steve and Wo Fat brothers !THANK YOU SOO MUCH!

Sadly beautiful people not always means good acting. See Blue Bloods, Tom S. is an older actor but the show is getting 2 more million viewers each Friday, even in the tougher 10 pm slot. And only a 0.1 demo difference . Tom S. is a strong actor that can carry a show. No need to take his shirt off = Bleh

Great show, edgy action with humour. It’s a stand out show for CBS, and not dire to watch it. I think it’s doing very well, considering the change of time and day of week (the latter especially) holding almost 10 million live viewers. For a Friday, that’s awesome. I hope it lasts many more years, and I am not a fan at all of police procedurals. Keep it.

I love this show and it has got off to a good start. The writing is better in the first 2 episodes than last year. It needs to stick around as there are not too many good shows out there and some are getting too old. Give this show 7 seasons and more.

I don’t understand why CBS would switch this to the dead slot 9pm Fri nights! It’s like they want to kill it, just like Moonlight….this show is too good to get canceled. I don’t trust CBS one little bit…they make a lot of stupid moves.

I’ve watched this show since the first episode in 2010 and the Season 4 premiere was the best episode since the pilot! I’ve been watching the Season 1 reruns on TNT and while that first season was the most consistently good week to week, if Season 4 is as good as Friday’s show, then it’s going to be a great year.

I’m a huge Alex O’Loughlin fan and I hope H50 goes on to Season 5 and more!
