Year-to-year, Hawaii Five-0 was down by an astounding 47% in the demo (vs a 3.4 rating) and 34% in viewers (vs 12.19 million). It should be noted that last season’s opener had the advantage of airing on the same night as the first Ashton Kutcher episode of Two and a Half Men.

Still, this season’s opener represents an all-time low for Hawaii Five-0 in both the demo and viewers. That’s not good.

Reference point: The 2011-12 season averaged a 2.9 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 10.67 million viewers.

Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.

What do you think? Do you like the Hawaii Five-0 TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a fourth season?

This show should had been canceled in the first season. Never got good numbers considering the easy spot it had, the biggest lead in of any 10 pm CBS show and just Castle as competition. It has been trending down since the premiere . The show is the worst show CBS has. The acting is the terrible. Alex o. is wooden and after 3 years in the job he has not been able to create a character viewers would feel connected with. This show is sinking fast. And internationally is doing even worse, canceled once in Australia, and in UK beaten by all shows, Arrow, Elementary, The Followinh, Revolution, Person of Interest….What a dud.

Hawaii Five O is an awesome show and should be renewed. The acting is good and the story lines are great with lots of action every week. Too many good shows get cancelled, please don,t let this be one of them.
