HawthoRNe: Season Three of TNT Series Coming in June

Hawthorne season threeTNT’s medical drama, HawthoRNe, which stars Jada Pinkett-Smith, will be back for a third season this spring. The first of 10 new episodes will debut on Tuesday, June 14th — paired with the kick off of the second season of Memphis Beat.

Pinkett-Smith stars as Christina Hawthorne, the impassioned Chief Nursing Officer at James River Hospital. Michael Vartan also stars and Marc Anthony has just been added as a series regular. Anthony guest-starred last season as police detective Nick Renata and his role has been expanded.

HawthoRNe debuted in June of 2009 with a 1.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.8 million viewers. The numbers came down from there but were still strong enough to merit a renewal. Airing last summer, season two averaged a 0.9 rating in the demo and 3.09 million viewers.

The series was renewed for season three back in mid-September for another round of 10 episodes.

What do you think? Are you glad that HawthoRNe’s coming back? Looking forward to Anthony becoming a regular?

I am so excited about the return of HawthoRNe!!! This has been the best storyline I have watched in 3 years. Last season was the best because I was surprised every episode. Usually, I can predict what’s going to happen when I watch t.v. but this is the best!!!!!!!

The show was good in the first season, but last season got so trashy. And look what happened to both of their marriages, (in real life). How sad is that???????

I love the excitement in the series. Marc and Jada are passionate and cool. Tom and Jada are to boring, no excitment for a first time marriage. I am looking forward to seeing it again.

I’m truly sadden by the news that Hawthorne has been cancelled. Yes, this season was a little dark but it kinda made sense. Hawthorne was a show that I would rush home to see or I made sure that I recorded .
Who do I need to talk to? Who made this decision? What’s the real reason for the cancellation?

I am very disappointed with this season of Hawthorne. It is very depressing and nothing good seems to last, I am not sure how it can come back from here.

At first I liked the show then something happened and every thing for me has switched. I actually find it very boring. I like Jada but she is too depressing now. I understand everything she has gone through and it’s supposed to be sad etc., etc. but I liked her character and the role she played a lot better before. I’m not buying some of the scenes like the one of her in therapy crying. She’s a good actress but get over it and move one. I want her back in charge of the nurses barking orders.

Actually I hope she does get with Nick. At least there’s some excitement. The character of Tom is dull and brooding.

Otherwise hugely talented writers just assassinated a smartly developed character in hawthoRNe . I can’t imagine why the decision was made to turn Pinkett Smith’s alter-ego
into a cold-hearted, numb-brained slut with the morals of a pb bunny. You gave yourself an out by having her awakening from a dream. Perhaps she could awaken to find this script was all a nightmare. It is. I would tune in again to see her dignity and depth restored.

I was such a big fan until this season began. I always felt the show was well written and each character was a perfect fit. I am disapointed with the Character of Christina getting together with the Character Nick Renata. Far fetched from the truth. She just married and now has an affair. Too much going on at the same time with her daughter and the role she played as CNO. I hope the future shows will be more like the old ones with better story lines involving the hospital, the patients, and her love leife with her husband!

I was so pissed off last week with Marc & Christina, I am close to not being a fan and not even watching it -

Sorry….I was really mad about Marc Anthony & Christina…..REALLY – good Lord, her and TOM just got married, she JUST lost a baby – I truly don’t find Marc Anthony good looking and feel that the writers need to step it up a bit – Christina needs her job back and she needs to be with TOM -

I LIKED THE SHOW BEFORE THIS YEAR. I DON’T THINK JADA AND MARC NEEDED TO SHOW AS MUCH AS THEY DID. WE WOULD HAVE STILL GOTTEN THE IDEA. I AM DISAPPOINTED IN CHRISTINA’S CHARACTER AT THIS POINT. DON’T CARE IF I WATCH IN THE FUTURE.

You guys are really ridiculous to get mad that a TV SHOW is not realistic….. uuuuuuuuuuuhhhh its T.V!! The show is good… the writers do push it sometimes.. in that some things dont make sense.. But there are more good things than bad.. soooo I’m a FAN!!
