Hostages: Season One Ratings

Hostages TV show on CBS: canceled or renewed?CBS is advertising Hostages as a “limited series” with 15 episodes. If the ratings are poor, will it be cancelled before they all air? Or, if it’s a big hit, will they find a way to make a second season? Time will tell.

On Hostages, the lives of a prominent surgeon’s family are threatened by terrorists who want her to kill the President of the United States. The cast of this thriller includes Toni Collette, Dylan McDermott, James Naughton, Rhys Coiro, Billy Brown, Sandrine Holt, Tate Donovan, Quinn Shephard, and Mateus Ward.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.

Both suck, but Hostages is funny because its so poorly written. Mom is a drama because its insulting and rude but not funny at all.

Please don’t cancel this show!!! We all love it and look forward to watching it each week. It just gets better and better………..Please continue to develop the relationship between Ellen and Duncan… surely the writers can keep this show alive!!!

I like the plot and how the layers and twists work. It has suspense, and it is unpredictable,
I guess people aren’t watch because in US the president assassination is quite a trauma but it is a smart and fresh show . They deserve a second season

  3. Jack Stewart says

The wife and I have watched this program from the beginning, its one of the best show we have seen in years. I hope a new plot can be put together for a second season or more.

  4. Jillian says

One of the best new shows of the season open it to the real public and see what they think. I love thw fact it is action packed from the beginning to the end of each episode. But iam sure they will cancel it and probably bring on another overdone reality show ugh!!!!

  5. MJ says

Boy if it’s true from preview/trailer that Dylan and Toni share a impassioned kiss, I’m certain that this show’s gone off the rails. Great concept for drama, just they’re killing these by having it strung out for so long. Every week, once again I ask “What happened this time?”… sadly not so much. I’d say just skip to a point when something happens, other than the implausible plot turns that seem to only kill time…

Please please please don’t cancel Hostages!!!!!!!! I really really enjoy the show!!!! I think it has good plot and it’s very exciting and heart-wrenching for the most part! And Dylan and Toni are really good actors ! I really want this show to stay !

  7. MJ says

This has become tiresome after several episodes. Implausible plot turns serving only to delay advancing the ultimate story-line. An increasing lack drama/tension as the season wears on. After each recent episode, I ask what just happened in that 43 minutes? Only to realize little, very little. Should’ve been a 2, 3, 4 part miniseries. Oh well, I tried. For awhile…

It WAS kind of interesting, but the trailers for upcoming shows really SPOILED it. They are usually desperate when they show you what’s coming not just on the next episode but on the whole season – did you see Dylan and Toni embraced in a passionate kiss???

  9. Donna says

“Hostages” just doesn’t cut it! Dylan is a fantastic actor and he holds his end up well. But he has nothing to work with. Repeating the same plot over and over gets boring! It just doesn’t work.
Its more like a mini series, than a TV drama show. I watch it because I want to see the ending. So please don’t cancel it until the whole story is revealed.

Hey, that is exactly what i think! I can see those repetitive plot and had discussed with people about it. It isn’t working.

Hostages is what the audience feels like in watching this garbage. Who knew anyone could beat a lie detector test just by thinking good thoughts… Really? This is what passes as writing for this series. Bring on the 2nd string show pls! Or get Siberia back

      • Proemed says

Hostages blows. Siberia has A LOT of truth and real folklore in it. The problem is most Americans dont even know anything about ANY of the mysteries of Siberia. However Americans know about Miley Cryus or the Kardashians, because thats SO IMPORTANT (Sarcasm)!
