It was a positive start for this new sitcom. The network was on par when compared to the premiere of season two of Suburgatory back in October. Compared to the previous week’s original episode of Suburgatory in the timeslot, ABC was up by 52% in the demo (vs a 1.9 rating) and up by 58% in viewership. As is usually the case, we’ll have a better idea about the show’s chances for renewal in the next few weeks.

Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.

What do you think? Do you like the How to Live With Your Parents TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?

This was one of the few comedies currently on that I really looked forward to and would watch live as well as record to catch anything I missed . The Middle is good too, and Tim Allan’s new show is pretty good of course. Everybody likes TBBT, Modern Family is pretty good even if I am a bit homophobic, but that’s my problem. The only reason I can see why How to live with your parents was canceled is shows with a long or unusual title are hard to remember or talk about word of mouth. The same thing happened with “It’s like, You Know…” It was really good but too awkward
to say or harder to remember the title. too bad.
