The first episode of this sitcom debuted with The X Factor, currently the network’s biggest reality series, as a lead-in. It was first in its time slot though admittedly aired opposite repeats on ABC and CBS. The initial numbers are positive though, when put up against the rest of FOX’s scripted fare, Teenage Daughter gets a “B-” on our season report card and is right in the middle of the pack.
Lots of reviews have been negative so it’ll be interesting to see how many viewers return to watch the second episode. FOX is rerunning the first episode on Saturday night, trying to attract some more viewers to the regular airings.
Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.

I have gone through the teenage years 7 times and I wish that I had the humor that the mothers had on this show. I felt the way that they did alot of times but never voiced it out. At a time where we have so many shows with foul language and inuendos, talking dogs, reality shows that aren’t reality and shows that explain things and/or tell us what to do, like we have no common sence. this show was refreshing and it helped to make light of a hard time in a parent and teenagers lives. Fox should return this show and give it another try. Mondays and thursdays are the only night that we look forward to watching tv as a family and this was one show that we all enjoyed without someone feeling embarassed
Omg dDO NOT CANCEL RINGER. iTS THE BEST
i really like this show i just started watching it on hulu i thought it was funny reminds me of my life please come out with more
I actually looked forward to watching I hate my teenage daughter! There are so many horrible shows out there that you can not watch with family. There are little goodhearted shows out there now that just make you sit back and laugh. My daughter and I watch it together. Yes it may be a little over the top and a bit unrealistic but that’s what makes it hilarious. Please please please keep it on!!!!
For FOX to cancel TERRA NOVA is a big mistakes, Please do not cancel the show. My family are always looking forward watching it. This is a decent and clean show, Please do not cancel the show…
Insipid show. take it off……soon please.

Very few sitcoms make me laugh out-loud and this show does just that..I hope it gets a season 2! Ill be a loyal watcher!!
Saw it last night…..never again (and I have a teenage daughter).
You have to have some wires in your brain disconnected if you like this show. I would rather watch a TV test pattern then to watch two seconds of this show. If I had a family like this I would send them to the military. Wheres the laughs, the jokes . The next thing I was expecting the girls to do was start swearing at their mother. All the show taught the viewers was how to disrespect one another. Take the show off………..”NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I watch the show with my 17 year old. Hysterical. Thier whole families are disfunctional, which made us relate. When the fathers paid thier daughters $100 to stop yelling at them to solve the problem, come on , that’s funny. Yes, the daughter are bitches, but, what teenager isn’t. They portraited what life is really like with a daughter, who is gorgeous, and no matter how nice, good and sweet we are to them, they hate you and don’t appreciate anything you do for them. I cannot wait for next weeks show, so my daughter and I can relate even more. Very Truly Yours, A Mom.
I gave this show two stars out of five. It needs to go by next spring.
I honestly thought that the show would be worse because of the bad reviews. It was just OK but the daughters are so unlikeable that I don’t really plan to keep up with this show. I do think that Jaime Pressley is very good in her role though.
Have been waiting for “I Hate My Teenage Daughter!” to premiere its first season. I was NOT disappointed. The ensemble is great together. Have especially been watching for Eric Sheffer Stevens who plays the wannabe rock star and Jaimie Pressley’s ex-husband who lives next door. I am a BIG fan of Eric from his portrayal of Dr. Reid Oliver on ATWT. He is a very talented actor who, I’m sure, will be very successful in prime time.
Wishing them all the best for a wonderful season.
