Ironside: Season One Ratings

Ironside TV show ratings: cancel or renew?Remakes of old TV shows typically don’t generate big ratings and get cancelled. Will NBC‘s Ironside be a different story or will it be dropped after one season like so many others. We’ll have to watch the ratings and wait and see.

Ironside follows a smart and no-nonsense NYPD detective (Blair Underwood) who’s been confined to a wheelchair for the past two years. The rest of the police drama’s cast includes Pablo Schreiber, Spencer Grammer, Neal Bledsoe, Kenneth Choi, and Brent Sexton.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.

These are the final national numbers (unless noted with an “*”). These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.

I loved watching Ironside. I liked that there was a show on TV about a disabled person coming back no matter what the limitations of being in a W/C could be, but didn’t. NBC was too quick to take it off there lineup. I am disabled and in a w//c. Ironside may have had legs of which I do not, gave an interest to the disabled Americans. The show may be ficticious in nature but still gives upbeat message that you can do anything if you really have a mind set to do it!!!!

Loved Ironside and Blair Underwood. I watched every episode on demand, and I am really disappointed that NBC cancelled the series. Bonehead move!
