To no surprise, ABC has pulled the plug on Killer Women after one season. However, there is a bit of good news for fans of this low-rated Tuesday night series.
Killer Women revolves around Molly Parker (Tricia Helfer), a tough-as-nails female Texas Ranger. Other series performers include Marc Blucas, Alex Fernandez, Marta Milans, Michael Trucco, Beth Riesgraf, Vincent Fuentes, and Paul Howard Smith.
The crime drama debuted as a mid-season replacement on January 7th, attracting a meager 0.9 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 3.96 million viewers. As bad as those ratings were, the show’s performance would only get worse in later weeks. The network ended up pulling Killer Women after six of the eight episodes had run. The last airing drew a 0.6 rating with 3.22 million.
Though the show won’t be back fo a second season, ABC has at least released the final two episodes. “Demons” and the series finale, “Queen Bee,” can be seen below.
What do you think? Did you like the Killer Women series? Would you have liked to have seen a second season?
I live in Canada, the above videos will not stream here for me. Does anyone know how I can see the last 2 episodes. ABC does not let videos stream thru to Canada. Why???
have you tried hulu or sidereel?
I loved this show. I am super sad it was cancelled!
cancelling Killer Women was a very BAD judgement call! Great story-lines with great acting, hmmm, maybe that’s why ABC cancelled it! Really sorry to see it go. Looked forward to Tuesday nights at 10pm.
I think the writers made an error in always making the perp female, which kind of took away some of the suspense. I did enjoy the supposition that women kill for very different reasons than men do and it was a joy to watch Tricia Helfer totally kick, er, behind. Also nice to have two ‘Battlestar Galactica’ alums in the same show (Michael Trucco), especially since they were both Cylons. I really would have liked to have seen where the show could go in season 2. Really great characters and storylines that appeal to the female demographic. We need more… Read more »
One more thing: Some don’t like the title of the show. Fair enough. Change it to
Molly, Texas Ranger and let the killer be either a man or a woman and let us help figure out who the killer is. We like a good mystery. Anyway, that’s my take.
The show was okay, but started to get bogged down in relationships. A little bit is fine, but the writers of all shows have a tendency to go overboard with it. They think we like to see soaps in the evening hours. We don’t. What I liked about the show was the pacing and Molly, of course. She’s a hoot. I’d like to see it come back. Why the powers that be don’t schedule a show with low ratings to another night just to see how it goes. What do they lose? Not much. Remember LA Law that used to… Read more »
The show was very well written, with complex and involving storylines, and the casting people did a wonderful job finding talented people to play the roles. The name chosen for the show was awful and probably discouraged some viewers from even trying to watch the show. The advertising for the show was handled very poorly and the only reason I even watched the first episode was due to an actress from ‘Major Crimes’ being the guest star. Once I watched the show, I was hooked and never missed an episode. I refuse to watch anything on ABC anymore, they cancel… Read more »
I agree with Leroy Dick, ABC is the STUPIDEST network on the air. They finally have an interesting show, with a good cast and they cancel it? well what else is new?
They should release the remaining episodes of Mind Games! They pulled it from the air on a CLIFFHANGER, ugh.
I really enjoyed this show and am very sorry to see it go. The actors were great and the story lines were new and exciting. Interesting to see killers from a woman’s perspective. Shame that it had to end. Least ABC could have done was to run the last 2 episodes and not just make available on the internet.
dumping this horrible show early was a smart move. The ads/promos were bad so I can only imaging the actually show was worse.
Sooo……you have an opinion on a show you’ve never seen. You sound like my wife when She heard the title, “Killer Women” She also said the same thing about “Rake”. She never watched that one either.
And my opinion was correct, this **** didn’t even air all its episodes.
I don’t need to stare at a pile of dog poop for an hour to know its a pile of crap, one or two seconds is usually enough.
I thoroughly enjoyed the show. The name was definitely a deterrent. Good actors, good story lines. Bring it back.
My wife wouldn’t watch it, why? She hated the name. This may have been a big mistake on the networks part. I really liked the show, I like Tricia Helfer. Too bad they couldn’t come with a better name, perhaps it would have had more viewers.
I watched Killer Women and the series really wasn’t bad at all; it was certainly better than most of the other series that ABC allowed to run for 20+ episodes this season, and except for that stupid cowboy hat, showed promise in the coming episodes. Too bad ABC did not run Killer Women as a summer series replacement, it might have had a chance. I saw the last two episodes on ABC Video on demand, perhaps they are still there.
I think the network is STUPID for cancelling Killer Women. I don’t know where they get their ratings from, but the rating people would not know a good show if it walked up to them & bit them in the ass. This is one show show that really should be brought back & kept going.
