Killer Women: Cancelled; No Season Two But…

Killer Women canceled by abc To no surprise, ABC has pulled the plug on Killer Women after one season. However, there is a bit of good news for fans of this low-rated Tuesday night series.

Killer Women revolves around Molly Parker (Tricia Helfer), a tough-as-nails female Texas Ranger. Other series performers include Marc Blucas, Alex Fernandez, Marta Milans, Michael Trucco, Beth Riesgraf, Vincent Fuentes, and Paul Howard Smith.

The crime drama debuted as a mid-season replacement on January 7th, attracting a meager 0.9 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 3.96 million viewers. As bad as those ratings were, the show’s performance would only get worse in later weeks. The network ended up pulling Killer Women after six of the eight episodes had run. The last airing drew a 0.6 rating with 3.22 million.

Though the show won’t be back fo a second season, ABC has at least released the final two episodes. “Demons” and the series finale, “Queen Bee,” can be seen below.

What do you think? Did you like the Killer Women series? Would you have liked to have seen a second season?

my whole family liked this show & we are very picky on what we watch & we hate reality shows witch will probably it, we hope that another network picks it up, this is also a good example of why we don’t watch the 3 major networks

Perhaps another cable network should pick this program up? It truly was worth watching. So now what, ABC is going to do another reality program….. again? How about The Bacholor or The Bachlorett, no wait, they already are producing this. How many more times must we see, guy gets girl — guy gets engaged, girl gets guy, girl gets engaged and all the stupidity between them? We already live in this “real”ity world why make shows about reality when we can see them in real time? Please enough with the trashie programs and start putting on programs worth watching.

So, once again a good drama is cancelled. My hat is off to the so-called ‘great’ programming that continually brings us more reality shows, more ridiculous and insipid comedies and tasteless trash. Please — keep it up. Your true colors are showing — and once again the almighty dollar speaks.

So tired of these shows that I get into on hulu-canceling! 3-4 million viewers IS GREAT! All these networks think they know what they are doing. The Mindy Project. Really? Ugh. Exactly why I don’t watch tv due to the stupidity of network decisions.

I give up! This was a really good show and didn’t get a chance. There have been several good shows that have disappeared and we are left with a bunch of reality garbage! Please bring the show back and give it a time slot and a chance to gather viewers! It’s worth it!

I loved it and would certainly watch a second season – it was interesting and had a lot of potential

Killer Woman: is an exciting adult show with excellant writing and acting. Shows which should be canceled: Bones acting writing poor; CSI/NCIS fake show; Hell’s Kicthen & Mastercheif Jr, yelling a poor example of communication for Adults/Children/Adolescents, nothing (+) about the shows.

Killer Women, interesting drama from a different perspective. The writers did a good job and well chosen cast members made it a stand out series. I was not going fi watch it, changed my mind and glad I did. Yes, the series SHOULD BE RENEWED!

ABC should not be the network to renew the show, as they have proven they do not have the will or the interest in enticing intelligent women to watch quality television. I was hoping another network, preferrably TNT, would pick up the show, as it has a much better track record in offering shows with strong female lead characters. Bones, The Closer, Major Crimes, Rizzoli & Isles are all examples of their willingness to showcase female talent. Killer Women (an awful title, to be sure) would fit right into their line-up and probably flourish there. I really hope this series is not gone for good.

I liked the series a LOT. I was surprised to see it cancelled.
I think Killer Women was not a good title to grab new viewers. “Molly Parker Texas Ranger”in my opinion would have brought in a LOT more viewers. The title “Killer Women” really makes no sense for this shows title. I had no initial interest in wathing “Killer Women” because of the title. Just turned in on by accident and liked what I saw. What a lack of imagination from the producers!

I found this show during college on the ABC app, because I didn’t have a television and would only catch up on these shows during times I had time for a longer lunch. I LOVED this show and thought it was one of the best storylines ABC has concocted in a while. Plus, I live in TX and my state pride is huge, and my fantasy job is to be a Texas Ranger. Why does it have to be all about the money? If they had common sense, ABC would have checked ratings and numbers for app use of this show, as many commenters have stated the app as their viewing preference.

I found Killer Women on Hulu and I loved it. I am disappointed to see it has been canceled. This is why I choose not to watch TV, never anything good on – they never keep the good shows.

Very disappointed the show was cancelled. And the queen bee episode left us wondering about Dan’s fate. I was really starting to like this show and the characters.

I really loved this show and was very disappointed when I saw that it was cancelled. I was looking forward to seeing a second season. Killer women had a great storyline and wasn’t just another stupid comedy. Don’t get me wrong I like comedies it is just that the ones they keep producing are stupid and not funny at all.. I am watching more and more programs that are produced for networks other than the big three: ABC, CBS, and NBC.
We are no longer willing to dedicate our viewing time to the same old formula programming…. Heads UP networks we have choices now!
