I have been watching King of the Hill since the start in 97. It is one of the only shows that I really do enjoy. It is a really clean show compared to that of Family Guy and even the Simpsons. But in this day and time that is probably the very reason it has been yanked. There is not enough sex, drugs, violence, and bad language. I hope another network steps up and picks the show up. There isn’t many good shows left on TV anymore.

I’ll be also downloading seinfeld,two&ahalfmen,mynameisearl, and all those other decent shows to. Just so I don’t ever have to watch fox again.

I will admit I am dissapointed in Fox for cancling King Of The Hill. It was a “Family Show” that I watched with my 6 year old and 16month old sence they day they were born.
Instead it has been replaced with wonderful entertainment like Family Guy, American dad and now the Cleveland Show, wow, these are shows I would realy let my 6 year old watch…. A dog pot smoking, dog in lust with his owner, and a baby that is trying to kill him mom. How about a Fish that is always looking for sex. and a pot smoking aliens. ya these are great charaters who comes up with this CRAP… Not happening, it looks like fox is another channel that will ahve to be blocked on Sunday nights now. While KOTH may not hit a home-run very episode, it has stood the test of time. Just a very clean and clever show that the entire family can enjoy. Very few shows can attest to that.

I’ve watched KOTH without fail and Sunday night will surely have a certain void now that one of the best show’s ever created is now heading for the locker room.

I know this is just a cartoon show, but at least it wasn’t all teenager humor and your kids could watch it with you. As for just turning the channel if i don’t like it? Well to those classic shows like– The biggest loser? Anna nicole? jerry springer?? there is nothing but crap on TV anymore so there is nothing to watch. Now with KOTH over we are over with TV too….

It will be like “Family Guy”…Fox originally cancelled it, the show went to cable, did well there and now Fox has it back on its schedule.
I hope King of the Hill is also picked up by cable…seems cable is able to broach more mature subject matter and anyone with teen aged kids know that there are dramatic times in a teens life.
Maybe it will come back…but again I hope that cable picks this show up…it still has many more episodes before its buried.

Man thats a real shame. KOTH was a smart show. It had good values and was very consistent. There are some real classic episodes. Now Everything is Seth Macfarlane. I liked the variety. Plus American Dad sucks ass. Family Guy is still really funny, but those shows have the exact same kind of humor. It gets so played out. I saw the finale it was decent, Spoiler- Boomhower was a texas ranger all along. Anyhow, I think this is one of Fox’s dumber decisions.

I support this petition. There has to be something wrong with how the networks are receiving their ratings. Extremely popular shows are being canceled with little to no warnings lately. And the new shows that replace these once highly popular shows…omg..pure stupidity, and trash. They themselves fail before the first season ends.

It is my honest belief that they really do not care about ratings, popularity, or quality. There appears to be a new form of making money these networks love…

Start a show, run it for 1 or 2 seasons, and cancel it. They get big money while it’s new, everyone is watching it for the first time, then they cancel it before it bombs, or if it’s a hit, they cancel it before they have to renegotiate the actors contracts.

That’s why they are canceling all of the favorites, and long runners. They want to just keep pumping out trash for the fast money grab, while getting rid of high salary contracts.

To get the full effect of King of the Hill, a person had to live in Texas or below the Mason-Dixon line. If you have lived in those places, chances are you know everyone of those characters. That show is so true to life, that it is hard to describe.

First off, King of the Hill is one of the best American made animated series still on TV. From its lesson-to-be-learned style, character driven, middle american appeal to the fact that its downright hilarious at times brings to question ‘Why would FOX cancel a show rated in the top 100 TV shows of all time?’

All I have to say is FOX is always making bad decisions about what shows to keep and what shows to ditch. I mean if you look at the trend or FOX canceling shows it would be almost like watching a VH1 special on guitarists that left a band before they went platinum. I can name at least three shows that they have failed miserably by canceling when there has been a larger demographic of viewers than those watching shows than those watching the so called ‘prime-time hits’. They canceled Family Guy, which has become one of the most popular animated shows on TV, they canceled Futurama, yet another show to become one of the most popular, followed by King of the Hill, which is just one more example of FOX’s ignorance.

And if you think im wrong just look at their newest ‘good decision’….Dragonball Z: Evolution, and that’s all that needs to be said.

I’ve had my up and downs with KOTH. I do enjoy it and it’s been around for awhile so if it does end I want closure with the show with a proper ending. It’s definetly not a let’s rush home to watch it kind of show but it had wit and made fun of realism which is hard to find with anything that’s on these days and that includes other shows that aren’t cartoons. I’m glad there was a cartoon that wasn’t as vulgar as family guy or American dad which at times (for me borders)lately borders on stupid smut. I think I will miss this show but not as much as futurerama and definetly not as much as simpsons.

i am very disapointed that you homos cancelled king of the hill becuz i really like their story plots as well their funny jokes. i would say that king of the hill is up there with family guy and the simpsons. i will try to look for a new cartoon since you guys cancelled this one. you jerks! i would like to see it at least on adult swim or hopefully you guys come out with a new season on dvd or something. i am really pissed man! whoever cacelled it can burn in hillbilly hell. i love the red neck cartoon and its sometimes clever jokes but it was more than just a funny cartoon. the story would pull you in and you would stay wondering what happens with the characters so i liked it more than the other cartoon shows. hopefully you guys come to your sences and put it back on t.v were it should be.

FOX would be foolish to cancel KOTH !! With the show in syndication in Cartoon Networks Adult Swim and is doing great. Let us not forget that is how Family Guy got back on FOX after the network suits had canceled that.show. Secondly, Sit down shut up sucks so hard, no way it is a replacement , the change in it’s time back to 7:00 shows that. It couldn’t hang in primetime for two weeks. Bottom Line FOX executives are morons of the highest caliber!

WTBFD?????, I never understood why people even watch this and enjoyed it. I tried several times to watch it and for some reason i get depress when watching it. I don’t give a care in the world if the series gets cancelled, LET IT!. Always hated this series from the beginning and always thought maybe it was due to the maybe one of the exec. producers liked the series so much that they decided to keep giving episodes. FOR BLOODY SAKES ….CANCEL THIS CRAPPY SHOW WITH DRY AND DULL YES THATS RIGHT I SAID IT DULL HUMOR.

i like American Dad now….. didnt at first. I do think it is a travesty that KOTH is being cancelled for the likes of dribble such as Sit Down Shut Up – why don’t they save us all some grief and cancel that show and renew KOTH?

i can’t believe king of the hill is being cancelled. It’s humor hasn’t dropped at all after all of these years. It’s just as good or better now than when it was new. Hopefully, FOX network will come around and give it a few more years. It and it’s viewers deserve it.

I can’t believe King of the Hill is in it’s last season. I really hope they don’t expect “Sit Down, Shut Up” to replace it. That show is horrible, and they switched times tonight because it got nothing but negative responses in KOTH’s spot after the Simpsons last week.

King of the Hill is fantastic and unlike the Simpsons (which is not the same show anymore) its only been getting better! Fantastic writing and great characters!! I really hope its not the end. That “Sit Down Shut up” was pretty awful….no replacement for KOTH.
