TV show description:
Set in Big Sky country, this thriller TV show is based on the Walt Longmire Mystery novels by best-selling author Craig Johnson.
Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) is the charismatic, dedicated and unflappable sheriff of Absaroka County, Wyoming. Recently widowed, Longmire is a man who buries his pain behind a brave face and dry wit. He’s known for his manners, strength, and old-fashioned approach. His dedication to the law and his passion for the great West make him a desirable lawman.
Victoria ‘Vic’ Moretti (Katee Sackhoff) is the newest addition to the sheriff’s office. Leaving the homicide division in Philadelphia after five years, Vic is still adjusting to dealing with the locals in her new town. Her playful relationship with Longmire holds a deeper connection that allows her to be his most trusted deputy. Vic is out to prove she isn’t a rookie and to show she is capable and loyal.
Henry Standing Bear (Lou Diamond Phillips) is Walt’s lifelong best friend and a local bar owner. Henry is a handsome and charming Cheyenne who is fiercely protective of his tribe and serves as Walt’s go-between with the reservation. Being a business owner, he is comfortable with progress and modernity while maintaining a connection with his past, unlike his close friend.
Deputy Branch Connally (Bailey Chase) is a go-getter with blind confidence. He has political aspirations that often motivate him more than solving cases. His resentment toward Walt’s outdated approach further inspire him to run for sheriff, especially after feeling that he is picking up his boss’s slack. He wants to bring Absaroka County into the 21st century, and he longs to update the sheriff’s station with the technology that other law enforcement agencies use.
Another deputy, The Ferg (Adam Bartley), is a big guy with the heart of a puppy dog. He is loyal, sweet, well-meaning and eager to please. A gifted fly-fisherman who knows how to hunt and fix things, The Ferg has a long way to go as an investigator. Even though he may not be a perfect fit for the job, he is no coward.
Cady Longmire (Cassidy Freeman) is Walt’s only child and an attorney with dreams of the big city. After the death of her mother, Cady has taken it upon herself to help her father get his life back together. She is keenly aware of his imperfections and is the only one not afraid to point them out. Her straight talk and sense of humor connect this father-daughter duo even though they both tend to drive the other crazy.

What do you think? Are you a fan of the Longmire TV series? Do you think it should have ended or been renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?

One of the best shows on tv we even watch the episodes more than once. Please do not cancel
I love this show, started watching in Netflix. I watched all five seasons in two weeks. I couldn’t stop watching. I hope it comes back for season six.
I have not yet seen Season 4, but my family and I have just finished binge watching (1st time ever we binge watched anything) seasons 1 – 4. We are eagerly awaiting season 5
Please reconsider season 6 being the last. We will miss this series very much, and I’m sure we are not alone.
Please keep it going – First time binge watcher and I was hooked from episode 1 – Excellent acting from all and great chemistry between all the actors! Love this show!
I have not yet seen Season 5, but my family and I have just finished binge watching (1st time ever we binge watched anything) seasons 1 – 4. We are eagerly awaiting season 5 on DVD!!!!
Please reconsider season 6 being the last. We will miss this series very much, and I’m sure we are not alone.
This is one of the best police dramas on T.V.. Shame on A&E for cancelling it. They are obviously more worried about ratings than GOOD quality television. Thank you Netflix for having the insight to pick it up. Well done.
Keep it alive. Best i’ve seen in a long time.
We discovered this on Netflix, and have become completely hooked. We’re coming to the end of season 5, and I can’t find anything about a release of season 6! Please, please, please don’t leave us hanging! I absolutely love this series. I can’t imagine why A&E dropped it.
none better- keep it going.
I love this series! Please don’t cancel. I’m completely hooked to the point of binge-watching to catch up!
Please do NOT cancel this series. There is nothing like this out there. Has dignity, respect.. And REAL values and ethics.
Why is it that when a great show comes along someone just cancels it because they feel ratings are more important then the show and the people who watch that show. Please bring Longmire back . PLEASE!!!!!
love this show. can’t wait for new season to start. please keep them coming.
I love this show! We just watched the 53rd episode. That’s the last one on Netflix. Please let us have some more! I have to know how Henry gets out of the mess he is in! Vic is pregnant and we don’t know for sure who the father is and now Cady has been adopted by the tribe! You can’t leave us hanging here! We want more! … more Walt and Donna, too!
