I was a huge fan of The Closer! Although I didn’t like the way they handled the end of Brenda’s character, I decided to give Major Crimes a chance. The “Rusty” character caught my attention from his appearance on The Closer and I wait each week to find out what will be happening with him!! Just found out we will now have to wait until November to find out! I agree with previous writer, DDA Rios doesn’t add anything good to the show. Overall I don’t love it as much as I did Closer BUT as far as TV goes these days it is my favorite show, again in large part due to “Rusty”.

I love Major Crimes, even more than The Closer. I feel that we see more of indvidual cast members as part of the team as opposed to the Brenda Leigh Johnson show.

I love major crimes, but if they want to look for a reason for falling ratings, how about the fact that they did not bring it back for Christmas and made viewers wait all that time. You can’t do that with one show and not the spin off and expect the same results. Bringing back The Closer for Christmas made a whole lot of difference because the viewers got a taste of their favorite characters for more than just one season. Hence, they became faithful die hard viewers.

Major Crimes will be returning on November 25th with 8 new episodes which takes it into January.

We get our winter fix of Major Crimes!!!

I was very pleased that the end of the Closer did not mean the end of our Major Crimes detectives. They are awesome. And, surprisingly, I have really gotten to like Captain Raydor. But, what is a little scary is the fact that there is no way this show is going to survive the new DDA Rios. She can’t act and is nothing short of obnoxious! Had lunch with some friends today, friends who also think Major Crimes is one of the best shows on TV. Three of them have stopped watching the new season already because of DDA Rios. Please, please eliminate her before the show is cancelled….

I love the new show!! I watched The Closer and was sorry to see it end, but I am enjoying Major Crimes. I like that they kept a lot of the Closer cast, and I think Mary McDonnell is terrific. I hope Fritz is included in the upcoming plots, too. I do not think that adding Capt. Raydor’s ex-husband is a good idea.

Love this show and Mary McDonnell, and the other detectives. Rusty is okay, but I don’t want to see the “husband” of Capt. Raydor make this into a silly show or soap opera. She is in charge of the detectives and her authority should not be diminished by putting up with the antics of her come/go husband.

I loved the Closer, so I decided to give Major Crimes a chance, and I love it. Glad they kept most of the cast (Julio is my favorite). I like the Rusty character. It shows Sharon’s soft side. Please give this show a chance

We also love this show. Mary McDonnell is amazing, and I love the rest of the cast, too. I love the addition of the Rusty storyline. It seemed like all the shows were down this Monday (6/18) compared to last (6/11).

LOVE this show! Even though we’re only two episodes into the new season — it’s great with the new cranky DA and the writers are giving the other characters more lines…not sure why the ratings are down. My household would not miss an episode of this show!
