I was a huge `The Closer` fan, I loved that show!! Was so sad to see it go, I only liked Captain Raydor come the end & wasn`t sure I`d like her as the lead bc I loved Kyra but her character in M.C is much more likeable, I really do like her In this, she plays by the rules but like Brenda she can bend them in her own way as well, it hasn`t lost any of it`s humor, Flynn and Provenza and Sanchez they are still hilarious and I love that they`ve kept Rusty on the show, he adds that something extra, I think Sharon and Andy make a good couple. I think they need to replace Amy as well, I can’t believe with all the mistakes she has made as a cop that they haven`t thrown her ass out yet. She annoys me to no end!! They need a real good girl to fill her spot and keep their ratings up. I love Tao and buzz too it`s just Amy, she needs to go, but I hope they keep the show there are so few good cop shows on & maybe Fritz will take that job & become more of a regular on it, I love Jon Tenney. It sucked they cancelled his new show King and Maxwell.

I had to leave room for few minutes – didn’t catch who that smart alecky yappy female with long hair was trying to take over (and insulted the blonde, something about “you can’t understand, you don’t have kids”) — she needed a “kick” !
and I figure the blonde, I’ve seen somewhere before maybe going to be a spinoff (?) when they say “time is up” on this one…?

Sorry, but Kyra and her interaction with the ensemble made the show! Once she was gone, it was over for me.

Look forward to each episode about like did the Closer – sure hope they don’t get crazy and axe it! Tom Berenger interesting addition to the “back story”. love to “hate” him. Flynn and her (?) – have to think about that one. I do like these “people” (my mother used to do this with her soap operas–think of them as “real”…now I’m the age she was then !! life circle…)

Major Crimes was renewed for a 4th season to start in summer 2015.
They gave it 15 episodes to start. If the pattern holds true they will increase it by 4 episodes sometime this fall.
This show has done very well for TNT. It is in the top 5 cable shows for viewers. The ratings have been increasing this season so I think it will be around for awhile!

That’s to bad. You are missing one of the best shows on TV!
Give it a try, you will definately be impressed.
In fact start with last nights episode, “Two Options.”
      Amazing TV!!

I hated losing The Closer & Brenda — resented Sharon at first, sort of tried to ignore it, but had to keep watching (most of the other guys still there) – and it grew on me…she is quirky too, Brenda was quirky in her own way (actually I didn’t like Brenda at first either, but she grew on me too, so ended up watching all reruns from the beginning, etc)….since Billy Burke’s TV series cancelled, maybe he will show up again as the “bad killer lawyer-whatever” that Rusty had to testify against, etc…

From Fritz’s facial response in last nites episode, Brenda being offered really big DC job, etc, figure there may be a “back story” there too.

Major Crimes is starting its 3rd season as the highest rated show on TNT for the first qtr of 2014. Pretty phenomenal recognition!
An episode increase from 15 to 19 has been ordered again for this wonderful show. The second episode increase order which few shows receive from TNT. And the only show this year to receive that honor.

This shows a confidence in Major Crimes by this network.
It shows the popularity of its amazing ensemble cast led by the incomparable Mary McDonnell!!

I look forward to another wonderful season of great entertainment from GW Baily, Tony Denison and the rest of this fantastic cast led by the amazingly talented Mary McDonnell!!

Kyra Sedgwick did a much better job. I love the team and miss her. Bring her back. she adds ‘life’ to the show. We don’t fancy her replacement, Mary Macdowwel ?.her acting is dull and lifeless.
I remember one episode when one of the staff said to the FBI agent (supposed to be Chief Brenda’s husband) about sending his wishes to her. That was touching to bring her name back. Bet her team misses her too.

I loved the Closer. And I love Major Crimes too. I kinda like Sharon Raydor’s different approach in cases.. i hope the show will make it as big as The Closer.

I love this show & look forward to each week’s episode! It’s great to see the continuation of the characters; the story lines are excellent & really draw you in to the interactions of the squad. I think it would helpful if it was advertised more, as I only found it by mistake & was thrilled to see the continuation after “The Closer” finished (it was my favourite show). I suspect the ratings are down because of the lack of advertising, and the late time slot. I PVR it to watch at a more convenient time (rather than midnight on Friday night).

I love the show and think it is one of the better shows on tv now days and DO NOT QANT IT CANCELED I would be very disappointed.

Loved the Closer. We miss Brenda. Got ok with Major Crimes. Rusty is real good aspect, but can’t go on this track forever. don’t want him to “die”, just grow into another aspect of “Rusty”. Who is Joe Flanigan? …. I still think the ADA lady is under Stroh’s thumb, but we will see (if the series is renewed, I hope its renewed.). Will they have Stroh appear at all (Billy Burke has that Revolution series now – I guess it’s still going, husband watches, I don’t). ? tonite is next to last show of this season. hope its renewed.

Major Crimes was renewed last August for a third season.
The episode tonight was “on the edge of you seat” non stop action! The best episode to date with Sharon Raydor providing much of the action! And Rusty was on point as a character facing a life and death situation.
Can’t wait to see the rating’s! Hope people were watching!!

      • KB says

YIPPEE on the renewal for 3rd season! we’ll be watching in central Florida, in-laws watching in Charlotte, NC – hope everyone all over is watching it!!!

          • Tina says

            Don’t worry it’s not cancelled!
They are already filming their third season. They just finished episode 2 this week. So we have the show for a third season. We’re hoping for an extra 4 episode announcement anytime in the next month or so!
As for Rusty, it will be an interesting season from what I understand just stay tuned!
Season 3 starst Monday, June 9th at 9 p.m. Be sure you tune in!!
