Marcus Welby, MD: Win the Robert Young TV Series on DVD!

Marcus Welby MDThough shows like Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice are very popular today, there are few physicians with a better bedside manner than Marcus Welby, MD — as played by the legendary Robert Young.

Doctor Welby is a dedicated doctor who make house calls and his patients a priority in his life. He’s ably aided by Doctor Steven Kiley (James Brolin), a young physician who knows a lot but still has much to learn from his mentor. They’re aided by their friend and loyal secretary/nurse, Consuelo Lopez (Elena Verdugo).

Marcus Welby, MD ran for seven seasons on ABC before the show ended in 1976. Young reprised his beloved role as Doctor Welby for two reunion movies — The Return of Marcus Welby, MD in 1984 and Marcus Welby, MD: A Holiday Affair in 1988. He was joined by Verdugo in the first one as the aging physician finds himself being forced into retirement. In the second TV movie, he finds a second chance at love in Paris.

I have a lot of time on my hands and I love to sit and watch all the old shows that use to be on. If we can get the station in they play some of the older shows like marcus welby md. I like to watch them shows over just about anything that is on tv today. you can watch shows like the old ones and didnt have to worry about swearing every other word and nudity. They had morals and a lot of that is lacking now days and it keeps getting worse and worse. I as a parent didnt let my boys watch much but what we as parents had to approve and ok the tv shows they watched. I really would love to win these dvds because I dont go out much and would love to watch these over and over. I have a medical condition that makes me pass out if I am around any perfumes and colognes and any candles so I stay in and watch movies. I never know what I am going to hit going down I have hit my head on several things over the years. I cant work in the public and thats why I would love to win these. I have not seen this show for years and would really love them. Connie
