No Fan Support? That is absurd. Despite the fact that they changed nights so often I could barely keep track of when and where to find this Medium, my daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed the show, it always well done. And Earl is one of the funniest shows on television. Executives are often pinheads who don’t understand that audiences actually recognize a well produced, well directed, well written, and well acted series. It is very difficult to understand the logic of show placement and constantly moving successful shows. Does someone pay them to be ignorant. Over the last few decades I have seen many really good shows get lost in Executive indecision and stupidity. Sometimes I need a good break from stress, so, Thanks for the creation and then for nothing Guys.

I dont recall Joe going on the trip… so how could he be in a crash>> Its a sad thing to just DUMP a super show that was watched by MILLIONS!!! Personally, I cant believe Chuck and Who dates your mother or whatever could still be on while this show not only challenges the norm, it challenges the mind.. gotta figure who did it before the show ends…. BIG MISTAKE CBS… and shame on you… if you exec’s have a brain in your head, you’ll start chasing Law and Order.. in its 23rd or 24th season!! Medium is that good!!!!!!!
Firday night is the perfect timeslot. Im still bewildered. And yep… these people come into our homes every week… we grow to love them.. we tend to say “NO JOE” when he calls the doc from the bathroom… we do love them… and for that reason they should bring the show back….. bigger and better than ever!!!

I watched this show religiously! And to someone’s point above, I also felt like I lost a friend! I loved spending time with that family and the story lines were fantastic! I truly don’t understand why they would cancel this show. Is most of America more interested in reality tv? Really?? Couldn’t they have sold the show to another network and we could have continued watching it there? I’ve SO sad. It was the only show I watched.

I agree with most “What the heck happenned and why so suddenly”.I have followed Medium since the begginning it was a great fictional show with quirky characters, a show that you could really sink your teeth into and wham its done and without closure. I am very disappointed.

I just watched my DVR of Medium and I was so angry that it was over. Wasn’t even any warning at all. I feel like it was just ripped up too quickly. They could have at least made it a two part ending so that we could get ready for it being over. I too am sick of reality television and have been sick of it since the end of the first season of American Idol and the second season of Survivor. I want real television, something fun like Medium was, now there really isn’t all the much. Network… big mistake!

The cancellation of Medium makes my skin crawl. I never missed an episode. It was one of the shows that both my husband and I enjoyed watching together. The show always sparked our interests. I am very sad to see it go. I loved the relationship between Allison and Joe. He was always so supportive of her. In the finale I was a little disapointed. Don’t get me wrong, the show was great, I just was’nt happy with the way they ended it. I wish TV station would reconsider ending the series. It will be greatly missed.

Medium is one of a few shows that provide a smart, independent woman as a role model, as well as, a caring and supportive husband and father. This kind of television viewing is necessary to show what a happy and fulfilling family environment is all about instead of the dysfunctional reality shows that pilfer the networks and cable channels. If we continue to provide programming that focuses on violence, sex, ignorance, and people who massacre the English language, our future children will surely be in last place with no chance of survival in the competitive market. Let’s not kid ourselves that the television is our “teacher”. I am so sorry that Medium is over it was a lovely and eloquent show exit. Thank you for all of the thoughtful and thought provoking experiences Mr. Caron, Ms. Arquette, Mr. Weber, et al……

The cancelation of Medium is the final straw. I will never watch NBC or any of its affiliates again. After I post this comment, I am going to delete the channel from my DVR and all TVs in my home. I think I will contact your advertisers, too; when that money stops coming in it will wake you up and make you listen. You suck, NBC!

I just saw the season finale, and I have to say it was absolutely breathtaking. Which is not surprising, almost every single episode has been breathtaking and a joy to watch. Why these people would cancel the show is a mystery to me. I’m getting very fed up with all of the cancellations of good-quality shows. Well, now I have absolutely nothing to watch on Friday nights.

We don’t watch many of the network shows, but Medium is one of our favorites. We never miss an episode. Our other Friday night show is Merlin, now on the SYFY network. NBC was wrong on that show, and wrong on Medium. NBC is clueless. They continue to alienate the viewers. We are down to watching one or two shows on NBC. We don’t watch any reality shows, so please get rid of them!

…. and the networks wonder why they lose market share to cable channels. First it was their political slant and bias that made FOX NEWS the giant it is today. Now its cancelling truly good programming like Medium. Hows about the networks cancel some of the completely lame reality tv they broadcast? Quit dragging out Bob Saget or David Hasselhoff for some mindnumbing crap again and again and again.

All we can hope is that maybe the SciFi channel or another cable channel with some programming vision or wisdom will pick Medium up and ad it to their line up.

I abvolutely love Medium. It’s an intelligent show, with good scripts, played by fine actors. I believe the majority of the viewing public is sick to death of more “reality” shows. They are either depressing or just plain boring, with few exceptions. You should take a hint from the cable channels — TNT, TBS, Lifetime, Hallmark, etc. They have entertaining shows, not people coming off drugs or in therapy sessions or exaggerating their sex lives. Life has enough of that crap. Most people want to be entertained when they turn on the television. And, Medium is one of those shows, along with The Mentalist, NCIS, Law & Order, The Good Wife, Men of a Certain Age, movies, etc. It would be criminal of you to cancel Medium. The time slot now, 8 PM on Friday, is a great time slot and you should leave it there and keep renewing it. You cancel this show and you will lose a large audience for your network!

PLEASE DO NOT cancel the MEDIUM. I LOVE this show. I love that you had two episodes back to back starting @7:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday so I was able to rush home from work & see both episodes!

well if you want to know why the fan base didnt respond, its because many of us didnt know it had been cancelled!!! it would never have even occured to me that a show with good ratings and a good following would be pulled and for what? is there another cruddy new reality show that we need see? im blown away. im in shock. absolutely amazed. the only reason i know is because i was looking (far in advance) when the season premiere might be as i look so forward to it every year.

NBC has gone downhill since Zuckerman, or whatever this guy’s name is, who came from the Today Show. They expect all of us to enjoy reality T.V. and Jay Leno, 5 nights a week, , we pay too much for cable, what a rip off, , if I want real life, I prefer to go outside and experience the real world, instead of the reel world.
Medium was one of my favorite shows. looks like I switching to CBS, including my news. ( which makes them the most money)..
Get rid of Zuckerman, bring a woman into that position.

KUDOS CBS for standing up to NBC and adding “Medium” to its Tuesday 9-10 pm slot time! Patricia Arquette’s character, Ms. Dubois, is a real individual and much of the story line(s) are taken from events in her and her family’s life. It is an intreguing, suspense filled hour with the best cast and incredible story lines, thoroughly enjoy this show and I am elated at CBS decision. I’ve prerecorded all of “Medium’s” series and can’t wait for the new season (year). NBC’s executive decision makers have truly missed a HIT when it proved to be a HIT — a win / win for the cast/show and CBS! This is one show I’ve watched from inception and was absolutely speechless from the final episode in May. I found it on by accident tonight and was shocked and thrilled all in one! CBS not only will I watch “Medium” but possible other programs on CBS now as well. NBC shame on you – an award winning cast, and creative / director, “what were you smoking?!!!” as they say!

I watch very little tv because of my very busy lifestyle, but I’ve watched Medium since its inception. I was so angry when the “series finale” aired last May. I didn’t know that Medium would be picked up by CBS, I just thought the NBC idiots ended the series with Alison in a coma. I am thrilled to find out that I can still watch my favorite show again. Dear NBC–want to know my demographic? 46 yrs, married, college graduate, mother of 3. Yes, that’s the demographic you walked away from when you canceled Medium. TV today mostly stinks unless reality shows and Law & Order are all you are after. THANK YOU CBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NBC: Bad, Bad mistake! You’re really cutting your nose off dispite your face. Goodbye to this network. Jay Leno is the only thing worth watching – U BLEW it! CBS: Great move!!! Now we just keep our channel set to yours; don’t have to switch it. Medium doesn’t need to be a bridge after Ghost Whisperer (although it’s a nice segway). I’ve watched Medium since it’s first show. I am so happy that CBS got Medium. It is an amazing show and Patricia Arquette is wonderful in it. I can’t believe that NBC canceled it because of the stupid Jay Leno’s new show. Jay Leno should retire and do us all a favor by never showing his face again on TV. He sucks anyway!!!! I will continue to watch Medium on CBS now and can’t wait for it to start, hope they keep the same cast on CBS.

NBC now stands for “Nobs with Brain Cancer” Medium is the only decent show on. Maybe CBS will give it the respect it deserves and air it in a consistent time slot. Love to see “The Closer” with Benjamen Bratt become a prime time show as well!

Medium is one of the few shows that I actually will put aside other things just to tune in! Let’s see how many lame-ass reality shows it will take NBC to put on to fill Arquettes’ void. I love this show. Every mid season I made sure to watch it or DVR it. When it got switched from Wednesday to Monday, I was there watching it. This season had such an unbelievable story line, I could NOT wait to see the next one. No other NBC show has this effect on me or many people I know. I would be so upset if Medium was cancelled that I might boycott the network all together.

Last night, I watched what I believed to be the season finale of Medium. Today my daughter informed me the series was being canceled. What fruit loop was at the wheel making this decision? The important thing is that an intelligent, forward thinking network picks up the series. Looking forward to the conclusion, since I have followed this thought provoking series from scene one.

I just watched the series finale, and like many episodes, was living the moment. I don’t watch regularly but am always happy to catch an episode. The show has great casting as well as story line. Is it unrealistic to ask for a fictional family that is encouraging even while dealing with the blows life throws at them?

I didn’t realize until about 2 weeks ago that it didn’t say season finale, but with that ending someone had better get a clue. I would think that viewer approval would be noticed by the networks, they are also replaceable.

Just look at NBC’s lineup and what they are cancelling … they thought that reality and game shows would save them. If Law and Order and Southland wasn’t still on I wouldn’t be watching their network at all … My DVR is set for CBS all week
