To Whom it may concern …I do not watch TV, I have a very busy life. I record Medium and love it, I so looked forward to it each week. It is the only TV show I watch. Since it has been cancelled I have tried to watch other shows and I have been so disappointed with all the bad acting. Medium was amazing, interesting, good and ethical stories. Even though Allison is a medium she is a normal mom, wife and career woman dealing with everday life. Joe is a great husband who is trying to take care of his family. Everyone I know likes it, most people I know are like me and do not watch a lot of TV, but do watch Medium. Can’t believe it was cancelled I hope so much someone picks up the series.

I am so upset! I didn’t even realize it was the series finale! I thought it was just the season finale! My whole family watches this show together weekly! It is the only one we ALL like! I am so sad that Joe died also. Allison and Joe belonged together. I could not imagine Allison growing old alone, she needed Joe, they needed eachother. Very sad!!!

was so happy when it came back on not realizing it was the series finally. I’ve been waiting for the new season not an ending. This is a great show that the whole family enjoys. we have movie night each week and even the kids pick this show. CBS , no wonder there the best they pay attention to even the simple people. we will miss this show , we all have dreams but this is a family that lives normally without the sci fi and stupidity. Hope they bring it back

Who cares what night shows come on anymore? With DVR we record all our shows or watch on demand and avoid commercials. We no longer worry when something is on-we watch the episodes at our convenience so I think this strategy is outdated and irrelevant. We were not watching Medium as much any more – story lines were tiresome and the opportunity to explore the children’s abilities was missed.

Disappointing, as my wife and I considered Medium to be one of our favorite shows. The series finale really took us by surprise. It’s rare today to find shows with good family values. We watched the girls grow up over the years and really related to the real life, “blue collarish” family problems and solutions. If there is any way to bring it back, we’ll be waiting in the wings to support it along with our family and friends!

My husband and I, too, were really bummed and shocked that Medium was canceled.
We don’t understand at all what caused this decision. We sure hope CBS takes it over, It was great writing and acting and we are anxious to have it back!

I also do not know what to say. All this work, all these years and then they cut it into 45min of fast end…..
The idea was brilliant and it will take me a while to get over medium.
I would be awsome if CBS would buy the show but I am afraid they screwed up the ending so much that it would be impossible to come up with a brilliant new start.

After all if this should have been the end, why did they not at least make it an 1.30h episode to give it the honour it deservees, just for all the good acting all these years.

I’m not sure about Numbers, but Ghost Whisper was cancelled last yr. Medium originally aired on NBC & after NBC cancelled Medium several yrs. ago, CBS picked it up and placed it on after Ghost Whisperer. CBS was the one that aired the Series Finale

First of all, Medium WAS on CBS. The above article was from 2009 when it was originally on NBC. After NBC cancelled it, CBS took it over and placed it after Ghost Whisper. So, sorry, I think this is it.

I too Cried and Cried and had no idea this was going to be the finale, well until I saw it advertised as such when I was watching another recorded show. I was hoping though that it was all a dream, so that she could stop Joe from getting on that plane. You think she would’ve forseen something like that happening, you know. She sees everything else! or His dad could’ve done something to help! I don’t know how I feel about it. On one hand, I think it would’ve ended better with a happier ending. But it was a bitter sweet ending. Just hate that she had to wait 40 Years before seeing him again; they were such a great couple and dealt w. their problems well. Of course, I guess in real life people die and leave their spouses all the time. It’s just sooo sad. First Ghost Whisper w. Jim, another great husband, and Now Medium with Joe! Sux!!

I cant believe its over if CBS would pickit up having her wake up or have her have it all as a dream sent to her from her father in law to stop Joe from getting onto the plane and they could keep going on then GREAT! I loved the ezcellent writing, story recovery, character creation, dialouge, family scripture down to the pyschic crime solving. Utterly brilliant. I do agree with what everyone is sayin thpugh about killing of Joe. I believe there was an episode where Allison died and got to come back (wake up) because of all the good she has done and can do yet wasn\\’t rewarded her husband!? Yes the kiss at the end was nice but why not have let them live their life togethor. I know there is a slight emptyness when a series finishes but i believe that gap could have been less sad if the writers actually gave their season finale a happy ending. All in all though a fantastic series. Thankyou. Wish youd continue though.”

Totally bummed about the ending of the show. My husband and I were completely blown away that when we sat down to watch one of our favorite shows it was the finale! And killing off Joe was the worst idea ever. We loved Joe! In my opinion that was where Ghost Whisperer went wrong too, when they killed off the husband then had to figure out how to bring him back because fans were upset. What is wrong with having a happy couple? And a good example of a working family these days? It would be great if Medium moved to CBS like it says in the article. They could start the new season opener with Alison waking up from the horrible dream that was the final episode!

I am disappointed with NBC’s decisson on Medium. If any of those mentioned, “Ghost whisperer” should have been cancelled, what a lame other body experience the husband has……………….The show lost all of its attraction for me at that phony point. Talk about an awkward plot……….

For the one that wanted to know why Allison and Joe are in their thirties, at the end, it is a biblical thing, that we all would be the same age as Jesus when we arrive in heaven. Jesus died when he was 33 .

Some network head haunchos are not too bright. Look at all the creepy reality shows out there. These shows go from rediculous and demeaning to just down right filthy.
I have had enough of them, they are degrading to the human race.

I am so dissapointed. I also have my DVR set to record all new episodes fo Medium. Image my surprise when I started seeing Joe dead and clips of the future. I had no idea the show was being cancelled. I kept forwarding the show to get to the point where Alison would awake and it would all be a dream. This is so said. A little warning would have been nice. This was a great show and I am sorry to see it end. I’m sure it’s being replaced with a mediocre show that I will not watch. I am busy at work and never get to watch to the show while it was actually airing. I always fix my early morning coffee on Saturday and sit down to watch Medium. Whatever will I do now (idots)!!!

To the person wondering why Allison’s spirit looked young when she died, in most ghost sightings, the person usually appears around in their 30′s…around the time that they looked the best and were healthy. But I also did not like the ending…Joe’s character seemed cold in comparison to what I think he would have been like if he had died…and in the end when they kissed, I thought it came off a little corny. And it hardly made up for the fact that she spent so many years alone. Despite all the stuff her daughters’ accomplished, you suspect she spent the remainder of her life missing him. I don’t know, it kind of seemed slopped together, compared to all the other episodes. Disappointing…I really did enjoy the series so much. I don’t know who’s bright idea it was to kill Joe off. Yuck.

I was shocked to watch Medium today from our dvr recording to find that it was the SERIES finale! I couldn’t believe it! I am just sick about this! I had no idea it had been cancelled! It was one of the VERY best TV shows on “regular” network TV. And like Cheryl said, one that depicted a loving marriage and a happy family and home life. I am so sad that it has ended. Friday nights will not be the same. We never missed an episode. This has really hit me hard. I hope it gets a lot of outcry from the viewing audience, so much so that someone will bring it back!

I agree..the finale of this show that I have watched ever since it began, was a total disappointment! It made me sad and depressed and I don’t think that was right since the true characters are alive and well and I assume, happy! They could have done a finale that left you feeling good ! I will miss this show alot. But what a note to finish on. I couldn’t imagine any of those kids putting their mother in a nursing home or Joe would have haunted them silly!!!! Bad bad finale!

That was the worst finale I have ever seen! I have never missed a Medium since the show started. How many more loyal fans watched that show thinking it was a season finale only to find out it was a cruel ending. Having the family all grown upand scattered, Joe dying and then Allison dying too. It made me so depressed! I called my best friend after the show and told her I now needed antidepressants. Seriously, were the writers so upset they decided to ruin the show for ereryone! I will miss that delightful cast of characters. They added to my TGIF! Blessings on all the actors! CBS continues to make a case for premium television!

Medium was so much better than the Ghost Whisper, Allison was more realistic than Melinda. I use to really like Ghost Whisper, but it got rediculous giving ghosts so much power, plus Melinda Gordon with her low cut dresses during winter time? That should have been cancelled because it outlived itself and not believable. Medium however, more people could relate to the characters and much more realistic and the acting was better, bring it back please.

I just watched the show from my DVR having no idea it was the series finale. When I got to the point where Joe was really dead, I found myself wondering, where in the heck is this episode going, as it was so sad, and I wasn’t liking it. I got real concerned when they started showing all the family clips and shots of all the actors. So I look at the info., discover it was the series end, and find my way to the Internet wondering why. I don’t think CBS bothered to advertise it was the end. I’m a little disappointed in the way it ended, and would have overall preferred a longer show more along the type of story lines we have seen throughout the series, and not killing off an actor, but maybe alluding in another way how their lives go on. Really, shouldn’t the dead Allison have looked her age when she died? I’m just very stunned and sad and agree that another really good show has bitten the dust amidst a sea of many dumb, stupid shows. Major bummer!!!

I was shocked to discover that last nights episode was the series finale. I got totally blind-sided. I have been working nights and I was looking so forward to watching the episode this morning. Now I’m depressed and when I should be sleeping I’m still up,sitting in front of the computer typing these words. I would love the show to continue and it wouldn’t be difficult for some good writers to make the finale one BIG dream that perhaps one of the kids was having. It was ended beautifully I admit, but I would still be a huge fan and would continue to watch it.

Medium is an inspirational, well acted, excellent screenwriters, diverse actors and appropriate for family viewing. It is with great sadness that Medium is having it’s last finale show. I strongly suggest that CBS bring this show back. These kind of series truly give us a sense of joy, hope, suspense, and connection to family ties and individuality.

There are many many fans of Medium and I am certain that we can keep Medium alive and bring high ratings to CBS. Please let me know if we will have Medium back on the air.

Really enjoyed the show – The final which I just watched was one of the best and the end was great – it did not leave you hanging wondering what happened which made it so special – shame some of the other writers can not take from this show and when it is over provide us an ending and not leave us hanging – they provided us with an ending as life does which really made it special – Thanks

I have so many similar incidents that is why I can relate to this show, one of many.
When everyone around me told me my brother would be fine especially himself” That I should have been with him in the house of the Lord that morning. he was leaving for a heart transplant to Arizona. I would not be crying but rejoicing because the Lord spoke and said I will not die but walk into the same church with a new heart, we will all be singing, dancing. I did not feel the same because I had already told him two weeks before this, that I had a dream he and his wife came to visit and told me to bury him as close to mom as possible. Regardles of what was said he came back to me in a box and buried him close to mom as possible. One of many incidents

I agree.. Medium is my favorite show. I am a mother of four & I can’t wait to watch this show every week. BAD DECISION… Now I have no options except stupid talk shows and reality t.v. Keep up decisions like this and ill sell the television all together and stay with the computer.

It’s my favorite program, along with Law & Order. What a disappointment! If CBS is continuing the series is great, but it appears here they intend to only run the syndicated previous episodes and not continue with new ones. It’s credible sci-fi — and every character is so wonderful. I have enjoyed seeing Allison’s children grow up. The original writers created a wonderful character in Allison, and Arquette plays her so well. She’s so believeable, credible, and realistic. The show maintained high standards. When X-Files first came out it was excellent — after a short while it became too ridiculous to continue watching. Medium is nearly identifiable for everyone. Most everyone has experienced a dream, thought or image of intuition. Not the gift of Allison, but at least because of her honest portrayal, we identify with her experiences. The DA’s office and law enforcement accepting her help is rare, but Medium shows how it could work to solve crimes that would be closed. I cannot believe this program would even be considered to be cancelled. Myself and many friends can’t wait for the next episode. Losing Law & Order is another huge mistake — so what that it has lasted 20 years? Is there a “statute of limitations” on successful programming?
