man oh man, why do they always do this? good shows getting scrapped, which are so out there & different from everything else & that appeal to both sexes….but oh no…don’t do something smarter than the rest of the TV “gurus” to stay ahead of the pack & show some guts, but play sheep & follow their lead.
Bring it back – its different, out there & gives viewers a choice. Its also great to watch. Bring it back, please. Show a little bit of individuality & flair!

I am so disappointed that MIT has been cancelled/axed…..it was such a great show…so very different from anything else we’ve seen lately. The writing was witty and the actors had become friends over the 2 seasons. I feel as if we have all just been left in the air…right when things were beginning to get interesting. Please reconsider this decision to end such a great series…I already miss it! I am from Australia.

I live in Nigeria ,and DSTV just aired te s1 and s2 of the Men In Trees,from the first show to the last i was hooked.it was beautiful. You could relate the series ,it meant something,taught you something and in every episode,there was something that happened that you could relate to your self.all this cancellation ,hope it isnt true ,i need the s3 please ;pretty please.

I totally agree with Anonymous. All that is aired are those crummy police, lawyer, hospital dramas, and crazy housewives. I have enough drama in my life. I enjoyed watching Men In Trees. It truly was different from the other programs, and something I looked forward to viewing. I wish it would find its way back.

I really enjoyed this show. I’m sick to death of forensic medicine police dramas. I don’t even watch the shows – being subjected to the commercials for their programs is enough. This just had great characters interacting with on another. I also thought the commentary thoughtful. I hope it makes a comeback.

I can’t believe there’s not gonna be a 3rd season!!! It’s a brilliant show!!! It’s sooooo different from the rest!! We got the first season played last summer in Spain and the pity is they didn’t give it a chance and scheduled it on tuesday’s, two episodes, on a channel with little audience. I want it back!!!!

I have really missed this show. I really got into the characters and the scenes were really beautiful. I always made sure I was home in time to watch “my show”! It truly could have gone on much longer had it not been for some poor planning on some other people’s parts…I would love to see a resurrection of this show!!! And add some more relationship writing into it – I think people actually learned some things from this show!!!

I’ve been away due to a military deployment and returned with the expectation of the show returning. Color me surprised as I kept on waiting to see the commercials announcing the return of the newest season. Finally went searching for some information. I got hooked on MIT and it is definitely aggravating when the networks continually cancel a show that I look forward to so much.

I love “Men in Trees”. The reality shows that dominate the airwaves are simply “awful”. It seems that whenever a fresh, well-written show comes on, the networks do not give it time to “take off”. Then when people really start to enjoy it, they move it. I got hooked on “Men in Trees”, then ABC kept moving it. I tried my best to keep up with that, and watched it faithfully. But…..it was cancelled anyway. I wish there was a way to let the networks know that many people do appreciate “good” shows rather than the trash that is prevalent today/

Why the f*** did they cancel this marvellous show. Even in Holland we watched MIT. Its a good show with good actors and filmed in beautifull surroundings. So much better than all this lousy reality soaps, they make me SICK. I like a serie with a good script and actors who can realy perform; not this loosers which yoy allwaus see on this reality soaps. So bring it back on the screen.

I always get hooked on shows that eventually become popular, and this was one of them. I think the “decision makers” made a HUGE mistake. The late bouncing times made it hard for moms like me who love this show to watch, but I craved it! BRING IT BACK AND MAKE IT A PRIORITY!!!

abc cancels all the good shows and quite frankly i am a little sick of it not all people want to sit around and watch ridiculous reality shows about everything right down to the life of a horse jockey who cares. some people would prefer to watch a good light hearted program such as men in trees with a talented cast and good story line. i would also like to state that if abc continues to cancel good shows it would be nice if they at least sent the show off instead of the abrupt end leaving all of its viewers with no closure

Even in Germany MiT got many fans.
We’re kind of fed up too with all those “reality shows” and prefer some series who make at least some sense.
MiT was one of those. Money isn’t everything. And not all TV-watchers are stupid.

I agree with much of the comments that I have been reading. ABC along with many of the other stations run more blood and gut shows now its hard to find something respectful to watch with your kids. My daughter and I never missed a show. Men in trees was enjoyable to watch and I think your companies need to take a better look at some of the shows you due run versus the ones they dump.

i looked forward to watching it…..ALWAYS! ABC is getting pretty ridiculous with
cancelling some of the best tv programs. recently “boston legal” was cancelled…..
& that show was soooooo intellegent, funny & informative, these shows are geared more
for the intellegent audience & now ABC is just dumbing down it’s viewers with their
negative & simple minded programs.
shame on them……bring “men in trees” ….and “boston legal” back!

The geniuses of ABC have done it again! Take a show with a plot and potential, bounce it all over the schedule, put it on the air, take it off, put it back on, keep moving it around and then cancel it saying there is not enough interest. Why not try doing the same thing with some of these lame reality shows for the mindless and see if their following can be maintained.

I hadn’t heard that Men in Trees had been cancelled by ABC, but recently I started seeing a couple of the actors in other series and became suspicious, so today I checked the internet and got the news. Coming the same week as the cancellation of Boston Legal and the addition of Scrubs to ABC’s line up really demonstrated that ABC is not a network which is interested in quality adult programming. I already knew that my baby-boomer age group was not of interest to advertisers, but this trend has really soured me on ABC as a network. I realize Scrubs is popular and probably even good; but I don’t watch sitcoms. Why? I don’t have a short enough attention span. After I finish this I’m on my way out to buy a new kitchen appliance; if I knew of a brand not being advertised on ABC, that’s what I’d choose.

I loved men in trees…………. I watched every single episode from the beginning. I just so happened to miss what I guess was condsidered the finale and Im so mad!!!! This was a great show that didnt revolve around drugs sex and violence, and my young children could watch too…. I never will know who ends up with who and if anyone gets married!!! This show was one of the few that I really enjoyed watching and I hope that the idiots at ABC figure it out and bring it back!!!!

I am sickened by the cancelling of this show, it was one of the best shows on television! I couldn’t wait every week for it to be on!!! I am SOOOOO sick of seeing crime shows on television, it seems like that’s all that gets picked up year after year. How many CSI’s are there? How many Law and Order’s? How about Dateline, etc. These shows are popular I understand, but enough already!!! All 4 networks are jammed with that crap and I am so tired of trying to find good, watchable shows anymore. I was totally hooked on MIT, it was funny, romantic, and the narrative always gave us something to think about (and it wasn’t about murder or dead bodies or crime…WOO-HOO!!!) I am turning my TV off, I am fed up!!!

OMG!!! I CANNOT believe they got rid of my Favorite show!!! I just figured they would bring it back in the second half of the season. I am so sick of the way these networks just get rid of shows without any warning and without wrapping them up! They expect us to watch and when we get invested in the show, they pull the plug! At least write a finale!! The fans and YOUR audience deserve that much!! I am soooo upset right now! I am sick sick sick. I have half a mind to get rid of my tv altogether! The networks/producers obviously don’t care about OUR feelings, so why should we watch anything they put on!????

I can’t believe they got rid of Men in trees. It’s one of the few shows you can watch with your children in the room and not cringe every minute or so. I can’t believe it’s been cancelled; I thought for sure they would bring it back. I think that you didn’t give it a chance; you had it all over the place and broke up the schedule so no one knew when it was on then you cancelled it. What is wrong with you??? The character where funny and entertaining as the actors are incredible. There is so much that isn’t fit to watch on TV and I loved that show. It’s a shame. This is just why so many times we switch to other channels than watch the National Prime Time stations. Man I’d better check to see if October Road has been cancelled too.

I have to say that I was very upset that this show, ‘Men In Trees’ was cancelled. I have been hooked to and watched this from the very first episode, I have never been able to catch a show from the very beginning but my mother-in-law was in town and we found the show on accident and were hooked watched the show and from that point on. I made sure that if I wasnt able to be home for it that it was recorded to watch later and every week my mother-in-law and I would call each other during the commercials to talk about the show. I sent an email to ABC and they didnt even respond with a real reply it was some computer generated email that goes out to everyone that was totally generic and didnt even give me any information and really made me feel like me as the watcher of their station doesnt matter. So many shows that are on now stink so badly that I hardly even turn on the TV and if I do it isnt to watch ABC because if I dont matter to them why should they matter to me? Bring the show back and I will come back to ABC but until then forget it.

I still am upset that they canceled this show. What a bunch of losers there are over at ABC. The deciding factor was the fact that the production company was not ABC. So they yanked it. They kept the rediculous show Sex, Love and Money but there you go, shows you where their morals are. Taking off a fabulous family oriented TV show and leaving filth. The characters were great. The story line was great. The whole show was very creative and well thought out.

It also doesn’t say much for Lifetime that they wouldn’t even pick it up. Shows you where basic TV is going… to heck in a handbasket.

This is the second show that was just cancelled without warning…that I was in love with..The other one was Winfall on NBC.. that one ended with no end… This one MIT ended without warning but a last episode that I didn’t get to see, so now I can’t see how it turned out.. What is wrong with the broadcasting of today, when you hit a home run with a feel good show for all, then you replace it with… I don’t even know what you replaced it with, so it must not be very good, that’s bad advertising..:( I was in advertising for over 20 years.. You made a BIG mistake here ABC… I hope someone is listening. I hope someone picks this show back up, along with “winfall” that NBC dropped… Networks that are listening… maybe grab both these shows and make some profits..I know there were so many that loved these shows, including me…Lifetime, why don’t you want them… ratings up up up…hint hint hint!!! Today’s times you need all you can get…It’s a little break from CNN for most..

Anyway I am so sad this ended because I have been looking forward to watching this show again soon, In this day and time, it was the one little thing that I looked forward to each week to make me escape the problems of our world today, look at the beautiful scenery in Alaska and watch a show that made me just “feel good” I wanted to move there. I wanted to be there, I wanted to escape there each time I watched it.. Now it’s gone.. just like everything else in life… Nothing last forever..

Well because they gypped me of my ending, I made my own, although this show could go on and I would love that: (I never got to see their ending so I will post my own, this would take place over a whole season, not just one night..)

Here is my ending…

Marin would get together finally with Cash, (leaving Jack due to incompatibilities and catching him with the other women Julia, he would be caught comforting her in a very romantic way),
Cash would be there for Marin and would be a closer friend which eventually he would move in with her and they would be very much in love, the best love and romance she ever has had… she will write a new book about it which will be a bestseller and they will be set for life, Cash would then start his own construction company and eventually build them a larger home for the baby she will then carry… a little girl with big brown eyes and light brown hair.., They will build on the same property building on the other side of the lake/pond and making the old house an office for Cash’s new construction business. Meanwhile they will struggle with today’s economy issues…he will be determined to be the breadwinner and her book sales will always be there main income, he will start to feel like less of a man, trying to find his own identity and with the news of today will play a part of this scene…He will be struggling to get jobs to keep things going for her and their future family…her books will continue to carry them through rough times, she will feel guilty and he will feel smaller, but in the end they will bring their love together to unite as one and get though it all.

As for Jack, he and Julia will end up together and she dumps her husband as she is tired of the cheating …they will literally sail off into the sunset… and away from Elmo..

Patrick decides to move back to NY and takes Annie with him… to continue working at the company that Jane works for (he did well there) and continue changing the office atmosphere at that company. Annie now works there too…also changing the office outlook with her sweet and innocent thinking…Then they travel back to Elmo to see family but are still adjusting to the NY lifestyle..something noone would predict. Jane and Sam are also expecting a baby and decide to buy a home in Elmo, keeping the boat for pleasure. Stuart comes back to Elmo, looking to get back with Marin, but realizing she is in total love with Cash and sitting on a bestseller… instead starts a publishing company there. Eventually Patrick and Annie move back home to help and the new publishing business which becomes a success..of coarse Jane is also on board with the publishing company and Sam goes in partners with Cash in construction, and no the name is not trash and cash..lol…. although that sounds really funny…

Oh and there would be a new baby boy to add to the Elmo population and to the future ice hockey team…by Theresa & Ben.

So who is watching all these new babies.. the new daycare center that Sara started at her husbands new church…it is not only a daycare but a teaching preschool.. Her son is helping out too.

In the end Cash and Marin and all the others sit down at the bar with each being accepting of the new couples and friends and tight as ever..That’s how it is in a small town. That’s how I would end this story.. Well not just yet… one last scene… Annie is feeling a little ill, so she goes to the restroom and takes a pregnancy test and two lines come up… a smile comes to her face and she walks out to the crowd looking for Partick..and spots him in the crowd and he smiles back… the end..

Both my wife and I loved to watch Men in Trees (whenever we could figure out which night it was moved to). We will miss your show a lot. It was one of only two shows we made sure to make time for. The cast was wonderful and we will miss them. I’m sorry ABC took the tact it did, moving the show from night to night and time slot to time slot… to say nothing of the times it (ABC) decided to just take it off the air for a while.

The last time I got into a TV show like this was back in the Northern Exposure days. To all the cast, crew and writers with Men in Trees, job well done. Good luck in the future… My wife and I will miss you all. Take care… Bob and Dorotha

I guess if you don’t need to identify with other disfunctional families…ie. Supernanny or Wife Swap…and just want to watch a feel good show with beautiful scenery and hot guys….ABC is not the network for you!!! I am sick of this network changing times and days or cancelling shows before they have a chance because they aren’t produced by their own production company…or waiting nearly a year to air the next episode?? Grey’s and Lost are all I am holding on to…and Lost is nearly gone. I used to watch Grey’s, Men in Trees, October Road, Women’s Murder Club, Lost and Boston Legal…only 2 of those left til 2009!!!!!! Great choice ABC! I will not get hooked on any other shows of theirs, because as soon as I do they will cancel it!

I was so hoping to get MIT back this fall. All of my friends and I just loved this show. It was such a feel good show. I really wish ABC would reconsider.

ABC Messed up big time on this episode. This show was a huge hit in my area and caused a lot of discussion at work. We were huge fans of this show. I have no doubt that this show would have been a huge hit. It was due to shabby managment from ABC that caused it’s failure. This was the only show that I watched on ABC. Now that it’s not coming back to ABC neither am I. I just don’t understand why lifetime chose to not take it. Lifetime, YOUR LOSS! Unfortunately, this is a huge loss to all of us fans and that cast will be sadly missed by a lot of people. This is one of very few shows that would make me smile and laugh out load. I’m not easily entertained. There is so much crap on the major newtworks that stay on forever. I just don’t get it.

I think you took a good, honest show off the air. There are too many reality shows and shows that make absolutely no sense. This was a show about life…and now it’s gone. I guess we’ll have to watch another reality show? Not me. If it were not for Grey’s Anatomy, I would turn ABC off.

Looked forward to MIT after Grey’s on Thursday nights, now, who knows whats on and who really cares. MIT’s was a wonderful show with lots of talant. too bad you can’t see that it brought humor to all that watched. Just keep with the drap and disfunctional shows that are on. boy they really SUCK…

To all the cast of MITm you will be missed by all..sorry they didn’t give you a chance..you had potential!

Men is Trees was one of the greatest series ever aired. The acting was superb. What in the world is wrong with ABC–tossing it from one time slot to another? I wish it would come back –it was the highligt of my week and I am 79 years old!!!!!

Hey ABC. You guys are absolute idiots. You have now become famous for canceling shows mid-season or at the end of a season and not saying anything. But that’s okay — we still have stimulating TV like Tori & Dean, I Survived a Japanese Game show, and Wipeout which is a knock off of Spke’s MXC. That’s also okay because I’m sure that some celebrity wannabee will come along and ask you to put them on the air (Dina Lohan, Denise Richards, Pam Anderson). Now that’s quality TV. And we also have all of those crime scene shows which just gives our mentally challenged psychopaths ideas on how to kill someone. Between the reality shows, game shows and violence on TV today, I don’t even watch regular TV any more. I’ve chosen to expand my knowledge with MSNBC and Discovery. At least it is “real”.

think you need to get some new, young blood in your executive department. Since you obviously don’t care about your viewers, why don’t you cancel Desperate Housewives or Lost? You’ve already pissed off a large percentage of viewers. You may as well piss of the rest and then sell ABC for a big profit before it goes completely down the toilet.

BRING BACK MEN IN TREES ON A REGULAR SCHEDULED DAY AND TIME SLOT AND GIVE IT A FAIR CHANCE. YOU GUYS ARE BLOODY IDIOTS.

what a disappointment- i really enjoyed MIT. very funny and smart! It was my own hour to enjoy TV. Characteres were cute and interesting. I grew up in a small town and this show really hit the small town atmosphere!…. what a bummer……

Not sure why this was cancelled, who cares about the huge ratings, it had good ratings and the fans truley loved this show! I love October Road as well two of my favorit shows. This should be thought over for the loyal fans. It was a good wholesome show!! A fun to watch and look forward to every week. Cant be surprised when you constantly change nights and take off and put back on the air. What does ABC expect? PLEASE PUT BACK ON!

Cancelling MIT is a bad idea – what a fun little show with beautiful scenery. Just a feel good thing and everytime something really good comes along – someone gets a brilliant idea to axe it… VERY DISAPPOINTED MIT has been cancelled.. Please rethink that Decision

I never knew that MIT was filmed through another production company. It comes down to the money. They replaced it with a pathetic show… October Roads, which was a huge bomb. I can’t believe that lifetime didn’t pick it up. How pathetic is that? It’s so frustrating and disappointing to get involved with a show and it’s characters only to have it yanked. Should have known ABC/Disney only cared about the money. Doesn’t surprise me. Just gives me another reason to never watch ABC again. Thus far I’ve done a great job of not watching anything they offer. I’ll continue to do so and pass the word along to others.

MIT was clever, entertaining, addressed honest relationship issues humorously and logically. Each character helped make the series fun, thoughtful and heartwarming. The scenery was breathtaking and the writers accomplished all of this without crime scene violence, foul words, reality TV antics or special effects. Could we just have good entertaining TV to watch at least on occasion; such shows as Men In Trees? Please reconsider your mistake in canceling a show worthy of watching.
