There aren’t many shows I truly like because most are just “canned” to be like all the others. Mental was refreshingly different – with a different insight. I was hooked from the first episode and stayed faithfully with it, hoping and praying it didn’t end up like so many other good programs. I have to agree with all the others (M Hawley, Maragaret, et al, but especially Mr. “all caps” Brian Barton) in what they have to say about this wonderful new show.

Please keep it on! It is a good, decent series I look forward to each time it’s on.

Mental was an excellent program. My husband and I looked forward to it every week. I don’t understand why it wasn’t given a chance to become one of the most watched programs it the fall. It wasn’t promoted properly, people that I told about it had never heard of it, but once they watched it they also liked it as well as we did

I do agree with Margaret, House is getting very boring. Same thing over and over. Also getting a bit bored with programs like Ghost Whisperer and Medium. Still watching, but probably not much longer.

I liked Mental because it was refreshing and had a great cast. The fact that it was watched all the way through tells you something. Chris Vance was nice on the eyes too. I was very upset when it stopped, because it seems like when a network gets a good show, it doesn’t know a good thing until it’s over.
Please put this show back on. Oh and by the way, House is loosing it’s audience. It’s getting irritating and boring.

The series was GREAT!!! Please bring it back. The quality of the story, characters were very good. We all need a break from the regular trash. Very faithful followers. Don’t stop.

I really enjoyed the show and hope they give it a chance. The only problem I have is that the female cast members show too much cleavage. What are we selling here? If this was a real mental hospital, the females would be dressed like nuns. Can there be a middle point. I’m not a prude but we have too much skin showing here. Clean it up and bring the show back.

I agree with everyone. I loved the show. It always kept u guessing and on your toes trying to figure out what was going to happen next. I waited wondering what would happen to the show. People find many other activities to do in the summer time and its only a known fact that people watch more tv in the winter in fall. The show needs its fair chance. At least give it that.

I agree with everything Brian Barton said….. I truly love this show. I am so sick of reality shows, so many comedies, etc…… You premier a really great show with so much potential, and just like that, you cancel it……. And it’s toughest when there is no ending. As he said, they could have a field day with the storylines!! They’re boundless!!
I vote 100% to bring it back. Think REAL hard on doing just that. Thank you……

ONCE AND AWHILE A NEW SHOW COMES ALONG ,WITH A NEW FEEL AND MANY OPTIONS AND DIRECTIONS YOU CAN MOVE TOWARD.THIS SHOW GRABBED YOU FROM THE SEASON OPENER.I STAYED WITH IT THROUGH THE SUMMER AND WONDERED WHEN IT WAS GOING TO PREMERE FOR THE NEXT SEASON,WAITED,
WAITED, DIDNT SEE ANY PROMOS.FOUND OUT YOU WERENT GOING TO CONTINUE.I DONT UNDERSTAND.IF YOU BASE IT ON RATINGS.THEN I SAY GIVE IT A FAIR CHANCE,NOT AT A TIME WHEN MOST PEOPLE ARE ON VACATION,OR JUST OFF ON BREAK.THIS SHOW DESERVES A BETTER BIGGER PRIME TIME VEIWING OPPORUNITY TO HAVE A FAIR EVALUATION..IF YOU PUT OUT FEELERS FOR THIS SHOW TO AIRE AGAIN YOU WOULD HAVE FOLLOWERS.FAITHFUL FOLLOWERS.I DIDNT MISS A SHOW.IT ENDED SO QUICKLY,BUT IT IS STILL LEFT OPEN TO PICK UP WHERE IT LEFT OFF,THE SAME WAY IT STARTED,FIRST DAY IN THE NEW WARD,DIFFERENT CITY,MAYBE NEAR HIS SISTER OR WHEREVER.THERE ARE TOO MANY OPTIONS ,WRITERS SHOULD BE ABLE TO HAVE A FEILD DAY WITH THIS,MATERIAL HAS NO BOUNDARIES. I truly loved this show. The actors were very believable and interacted with each other beautifully. I watched the last show and saw the main character (Chris Vance) quiting and walking away from his job and I was very disappointed. Please bring the show back. It’s awesome. Have I used enough adjectives yet? LOL

I think this is an innovative show. To cancel it now should be considered a crime. I believe more people will tune in for a second season if only from hearing their friends talk about it.

Mental has to be an all-time favorite. If it doesn’t return, I’ll be very disappointed. It should be recognized as a quality program series providing awareness and understanding on mental illness and the effect on both those who have been diagnosed and their families. Please bring it back!!

Please do not cancel this show, it is extremely interesting, innovative and daring, not like the rest of garbage on TV. The stories and characters are amazing and are actually true to life. Please have the courage to be different and dare to take the positive and compassionate approach like the main character of this show does.

I really enjoyed Mental and I was expecting to be watching the Season Premiere along with my other favourite shows. I certainly hope it is on for season 2. Just as the fans are getting to know the cast…you cancel it? That doesn’t make sense. Please bring it back!!!!!

This is one of the best new shows in years! I have no idea why they would even consider cancelling it. Now that Monk, which airs on USA on Friday nights, is in its last season, this would be the perfect show for Fox to plug into that time slot. I’m sure it will soon find its audience, given a chance to catch on. The characters are well written and acted, unlike so many shows that have managed to endure (and that we have had to endure!).

I agree, I have seen this serie in Mexico and I must say that it is accurate, as well as plausable the way it is performed and developed. It has charisma and is a total juxtaposition of Dr. House, so you can have both great series (sour & sweet). I totally fancy both series.

My husband works in a Mental Health facility, and the story lines in this show are right on.
I certainly hope that Mental is renewed. There isn’t enough public awareness of the mentally ill, and this show addresses these issues with humor and compassion.

Please keep this show on the air! It is the first show that I know of that deals with psychiatric disorders and care in an informing, raw yet delicate, interesting way. I look forward to this show returning, the actors are wonderful and the character build up is just to much to have the show not return! Don’t leave us hanging about Dr. Jack’s future!

Please! Please! Keep this phenomenal show dealing with everyday psychiatric illnesses. Having been diagnosed with a psychiatric disorder, I related to the episodes that I had the privilege to watch, all 13 episodes. Thanks to the show`s creator and cast members. I learned alot. I didn’t realize that this show was available until about halfway through the series, however I immediately fell in love with it. I loved the drama between the main characters, as well as the interesting and compassionate way that various mental disorders were explained and treated. Please bring it back!!! Thank you.

Please keep the show!!!! I agree with Professional Therapist. This series brings the issues of mental illness straight into America’s living rooms. The characters in the series deal with these issues with compassion and humor. This series is unique as no other show covers mental illness fully. But again, the powers that be has cancelled another unique show and we are left with “cookie-cutter” shows and reality shows. Men in Trees and Jericho are examples of other unique shows. Just how many CSI:whatevers are there going to be?
