I just finished watching this series on netflix and now it is frustrating that it we will not get series 4 because it does not air in the US. It is even hard to find it online. Glad that the UK at least gets it but it would be nice if we had access in the US

Merlin is a great show. My husband and I looked forward to seeing it weekly. It seems like the good shows get cancelled. No swearing or sex. I guess that makes a bad show. Not in my book.

Does it matter whether Merlin is on Syfy and not NBC? Both networks are becoming increasingly irrelevant. Although I’m not a great fan of the show, I’m less a fan of NBC/U and it would be better if it could be seen on BBC America.

My wife and I love watching this show. It’s got everything…love, humor, adventure, and just the right amount of magic. They could take this so much farther now that the Knights of the Round Table have emerged. And we have to wait until 2012!!!? That’s so disappointing!

I love this show and half the folks that I work with watch it as well…. so every Monday we get together for a few minutes and talk about what happened on Friday and the previews for the next up coming show…. We all enjoy the light heartedness played by the elderly wizard in the last few shows. It was a nice mix up from the nasty Morganna…. and gave everybody a chance to do something a little different in the show. Keep it coming!

It’s a good show. It’s something great to get into and something awesome to research. I didn’t watch the show on tv, I watched on Hulu. It was great, watched the two seasons in about two weeks, a couple every day after work. Now that it’s over I wish there were more seasons to look forward to. If you love the thought of magic, Harry Potter for instance, this is a good show. The acting and writing get the point across. It takes me to a different world and that is the most important part. Hope there are more seasons then just two.

I absolutely loved watching Merlin. My whole family did. I have to agree with many of the comments. It is a great show without all the drugs, sex, etc.. Please bring the show back. It is great for all age groups. Its a great show that families can watch together, for a change.

I, too love this series and really hope you bring it back on syfy. I like that it no sex drugs violence just mystique and great characters. you have to give shows a chance to build a fan-base. look at buffy – cancelled and picked up by another network and BOOM cult-phenomenon that went on for 10 seasons and had a very successful spin-off with angel.

bring back merlin, invest time in it and let it grow

It’s very difficult for the show to bring in really good ratings when it shows 6mths to a year later. People have the internet and can see all the new episodes sometimes right away or a couple hours later. I like the series and hope it continues to do well.

Give the show a chance. It’s wonderful. A family can watch it together. No sex, drugs or “cussing”. I’ve told several people about the show who did not know it was even on t.v. It has now become their favorite show.

Also, it should be on the SyFy channel because the SYFY channel is fast becoming the most watched channel on tv.

Network producers, if ya keep killing Battlestar, Firefly, SEEKER (grr – SOS!!!), Merlin, Sara Connor Chronicles (double grr), etc., while they’re just BUILDING a fan base, you’ll never know how much money you guys* could really be raking in! Don’t you remember the phenomena of Xena, SG-1, Dr. Who, Trek, Star Wars**? You could be rolling in cash cows like that, & the fans could be happy instead of belligerent for a change!

Maybe you’re just upset because you couldn’t distinguish the Merlins from the Harry Potters @ Comic-Con… Oh wait, you wouldn’t have been there to know. You don’t understand the fans. We’re just numbers on a report. I wonder how you manage to market to us, then?

**Clone Wars series seems pretty stable.

I cannot fully describe how great a pleasure it has been to behold a story told so well. The scripts are well written , the actors/actresses are brilliant, and the values bestowed upon the viewing audience of strength, honor, and unbelievable courage is inspiring. I hope BBC continues to produce this series and more like it in the years to come. “Merlin” is undeniably the best television series airing at this time.

My husband and I enjoyed watching Tales of Merlin, First Season. I have five granddaughters and three grandsons who watch magical episodes relating to vampires, dragons and witches. I do not consider these episodes wholesome due to modern content and values. I do not consider the literature even close to that upon which Merlin is based. LE MORTE D’ARTHUR is CLASSICAL literature and has historical significance. It educates about a time gone by, values and virtues almost unspoken today. Written by Sir Thomas Mallory in the 15th century, the re-creation of these tales in The Merlin series is marvelous, beautiful and uplifting to the heart and soul. Please keep up the good work of lifting us up to a higher level of taste in entertainment. Thanks!

Hi, I have been sick with cancer for a while and my daughter and I loved the show last summer and she asked about it recently.. like what happened to it. We loved it and want to see the second episode but comp is not so great… will they be showing re-runs, and is syfy the science channel? will nbc be showing it at all? We want Merlin! Also I know we can by the dvd eventually but its nice to see a series on tv ya know… gives us something to look forward to each week.

I must agree with the comment before about the lack of adverts for the show on NBC as I was not aware that it had been available on this side of the pond until earlier this month, when I was of course too late to seize the opportunity. I have seen the first series and absolutely loved it. I’m sorry to say that I cannot follow the return on Syfy… still using a converter box with the basic channel coverage. Nethertheless, it was a refreshing take on a favorite character from Welsh lore and I can’t wait to see where the show goes next.

Our family never misses a show, and we DVR it so we can watch it again and again. The kids love it and their friends enjoy it too. It is such a wonderful and fun-loving show. It brings magic into our lives..even if it’s only for a moment. But, the great thing about Merlin’s moment is, our kids and their friends, will remember this show and talk about how great it was for the rest of their lives. The characters, the actors, the sets, the settings, the costumes, the writing, the music, and especially the acting make Merlin the best show to watch on t.v. right now. It’s fantastic!

yes i agree that nbc missed the boat on the this show. there was very little advertisment before the show aired and during the 1st season. you also have to know who is watching these types of shows, because if you air the advertisment during the football game chances are that they probably are not your demographic target. but i must say that knowing that nbc is related to syfy… this was a great 2nd choice and now thinking about it, makes perfect sense as those are more likely the correct demographic targets. i was very disappointed when it was cancelled in the US. i had to resort to “finding” it online and hoping it wasnt a limited amount of view time, which several times i had to rewatch an episode because i ran out of time. so its a small disappointment that i struggled to watch season 2 only to find out that it is now airing on syfy, but i’ll survive as long as i dont have to repeat this for season 3! thanks for letting me spew my 2 cents, haha!

I really like Merlin on SYFY because I get to see the current episode twice in the same night and again during the week. I can’t wait for the 1st Season DVD release and I will get all the Merlin books. Just hope they keep it on, but for the life of me, I can’t figure out why the BBC did not run it on their station. Or maybe they did and I missed it, but don’t see how since I am always watching Dr. Who and Torchwood (there’s another good show they cancelled).

I can’t believe NBC is making the same mistake with “Merlin” that it did with “Friday Night Lights”. I hate NBC and the way everytime they have a show that draws me to their station, they go and sell it off or cancell. I rarely watch their programing because it’s mostly garbage except for The Biggest Loser, Days of Our Lives and the two shows I previously mention. Thank you for listening
