For the people who are mad at SyFy for canceling yet another good show, the fact that it was an amazing show should be the first clue that they have nothing to do with it, they only purchase the right to re-air the show from its original network, BBC, therefore SyFy isn’t cancelling the show, just announcing that its in the last season they can buy and air

I can’t believe Merlin was only given 5 years. He certainly lasted a lot longer than that in all the legends of Merlin and Arthur. I didn’t always see it first run and I relied on reruns so I haven’t seen the final show but he couldn’t have been killed off. Remember in Stargate he was always shown as very old so,what’s that about? Anyway, he was supposed to be a magician so he can always come back to help Arthur! Think about it. You have the actors. It’s got to be more expensive to start a new show than to renew an old one.

This show is freakin awesome! I am completely at a loss for words as to why anyone would be so stupid and cancel this show. The acting is great, the effects are flawless, and the writing is wonderful. The only thing it needed was for someone to actually put some advertising money behind it and let it be more known to people. And now that it was on Netflix you could have bet the ratings would have been much better. Hopefully someone important over there in TV land will reconsider this horrible call and do something about it. It’s not everyday someone comes out with a great family show. Wish it wasn’t always about the money for people. I bet Arthur would know the right thing to do!

Merlin is a good family show. Like Stargate was but as usual Syfy would show junk like wrestling or horrible movies with poor effects. I hope they rethink on this one it would be a shame to see it go.

Syfy ratings will be invalid since most fans have already watched and purchased complete series via other outlets. I agree that it was among the very best, but I could have done better!

Merlin is one of the best shows on TV. Why does syfy always cancel the best shows? Merlin is a great story with really good actors. I looked forward to this show all week! I hope they think about doing a season 6. Merlin and all the actors will be missed.

Merlin is one of the best shows I have ever seen. It’s up there with Star Trek and Star Wars. I am very sad, because I do not want it to end. The last episode of season 13 need more with Merlin and Aurther. If you make a movie you need Colin and Bradley and the rest of the main cast in it and it will be Great! but I think you know that already. That’s what made Star Trek and Star Wars Great! Please give us more.

I can’t believe the show is coming to an end so soon i hate it when good shows that i like gets canceled.Shows like ringer, the secrete circle, buffy the vampire slayer, the nine lives of chloe kings, the new charlie angels, and some other.I’m just glade that pretty little liars, switched at birth, the lying games, and the secrete life of the american teenager on abcf are still on.Also glade that none of the shows that airs on abc sunday nights haven’t been canceled.

We have all really enjoyed watching Merlin over the years. On a Saturday night we sit down as a family, me, my husband, 2 kids, grandma and grandad – we all thoroughly enjoy it. We are very sad to see it finish and wish it could have gone on for a lot more series. It was a sad ending to Merlin – I was gutted for days. Kept on hoping it would finish on a lighter note, but it didn’t. I guess the writers definitely wanted to make it final so there was no chance it could have come back.

What are we all going to watch now? Dr Who just isn’t as good and my husband always falls asleep in it.

Liked the show but it has become quite depressing. The “bad guys” always seem to win. Merlin used only “parlor trick” magic. Hope the “good guys” finally make some headway in the final season.

really hated that the series ended the way it did.. the whole series was mainly light hearted and fun.. should have ended that way.. stuff the truth or how the legend went.. my Christmas was ruined after I watched that last episode.. cried so much.. was horrible. Most fans would like to see a happy ending.. please do one last special episode to give us a happy ending.. let us see the characters we all grew to love in Albion and happy.
