I’ve been watching most of the episodes via netflix as well. I didn’t find out about the TV show until this year. I had checked out a monk book from my school library. I didn’t even know it was a show until a friend told me. I think the books are just as good as the shows. I have seven books. I’m officially addicted. I’ve gotten my whole family monked. I’m almost finished with the last season and won’t know what to do with my self when it’s over.

This is by far the best show i have ever seen i have watched ever single episode in 3 days via netflix. I have never seen a better show and probably never will. I cannot believe its all over. The last show was no exception, in fact, it was perhaps the best ending to any series I’ve watched, which further attests to the quality of not only the actors, but also the writers and everyone involved in the series. I just watched the finale, which I recorded. I can’t say I didn’t cry. That being said, while I’m not happy Monk is finished, I’m not devestated. It’s a good show, but it tends to be extremely predictable and many plots have giant holes and/or just didn’t drag me in.

There are some episodes though, that really touched me and kept me in suspense that I loved. The two-part finale was one of them. The one where Monk was framed for murder was another. There was always the feeling that when things were going well for Monk that you know he’d come crashing back down again. I enjoyed that they didn’t always make Monk completely tragic or quirky though, sometimes he came off as a jerk.

The finale was predictable that everyone lived happily ever after, because that’s how Monk rolls. I spent the whole time being so happy that he was finally going to be, and stay, happy. I guess that’s just it – Monk has been a predictable but enjoyable part of my life for quite some time now. It’ll be weird to see him go. I think they ended it perfectly, and don’t need a follow-up movie.

I enjoyed watching Monk and I am really going to miss it. Tony Shaloub is a wonderful actor and the series was one of the best that I have seen. All the characters on the show were great and it was wonderful to see a show that is funny and has a plot to it. At least I am able to watch reruns of it. Thanks cast for a great show and a wonderful finale.

It is very disappointing that Monk has ended. This unique series had a lot going for it.
This show and others like it (Pysch for instance) are a welcome diversion, from the graphic gore, and violence splattering our screens, ceaselessly.
I guess it will be replaced by some rubbish. (Probably written with a Greys Anatomy type edge. You guessed it…. not a fan of this show)
It seems to be the standard these days that successful series, don’t make it to a tenth season. (Regardless of how well it may be rating.)
And yeh..don`t buy the show ended mutually. I smell bean counters at work again.
Farewell Monk…Hopefully some other network will pick you up….Many thanks for the enjoyable and entertaining escapism you have provided us, over the years!

Hi Phyllis I thought the same thing the way they ended it; they can always go back and take it from there. It has happened in the past that the audience loved a show so much that even though it was cancelled they brought it back; as long as the actors are willing to do it. I also love the whole cast and I hope they reconsider it! Its a wholesome show that the whole family can watch together, go figure!!!

After the final show I was thinking that they never did tell us the man with the six fingers, unless I missed it. Also, I got the feeling that something may happen to the daughter because he questioned her going to Canada for two weeks and she did not seem to want him to go with her????? Maybe there is something else that will happen… I watch all the reruns when I can and loved the show and all the cast.

I love the show this last episode was very sad. The end is promising; they can still do more. I love the whole cast I missed Sharona I loved her personality, if they do more episodes I hope she can do some. I started to watch Monk from day one and it was the intro music that made me watch it, then it changed; WHY? I hate that song! Good thing I have a DVR so I can fast forward because it makes me sick. If there’s more shows please go back to the original happy music it was great!

I just watched the final episode and it is so sad. I wanted to cry. at the end when it did flashbacks of all the episodes I knew I would always miss our favorite obcessive decetive, Adriane Monk. I will miss the whole cast, especially Jason Gray, I got to meet him in person. It’s sad because everyone leaves. I love Monk and will buy all the series and watch them over and over and over again!

I just finished watching the final episode of my all time favorite show, “MONK”! I can not believe you are ending one of the finest shows ever created for TV! KUDOS to the writers, producers, directors, actors, & above all to Tony! This series had it all, humor, drama, a great cast, & a very creative storyline! No, I don’t think Monk should end. With the finale you have set up and after he finds out who killed his wife; I believe you should come on with him having regained all of his confidence and with all of his knowledge and vigor, he truly can become a super sleuth; one like television has never known; the new MONK! I know he can do it because even with all of the hang ups with this current character, the new character can be an exceptional James Bond MONK! This would be great! Dont let it end this way. I came as a late fan to Monk. It had been on for a year before I knew it was the USA network. But once I saw it, I was hooked. Luckily USA replays its episodes during mornings during the week ends and have episode marathons and was able to catch up and became a regular fan. Mind you, I am a graveyard shifter. I don’t usually watch prime time TV because I am usually sleeping before work. However, the show made me change my schedule so I was sure to be up on time for my “breakfast” and my Monk fix.

The end of the series will leave an indelible absence in my routine. It is almost as if a personal friend is going away… for ever.

Yes, there are many fans and I am a huge one I looked froward every friday nite at 9pm.
and loved it even more when there would be a special and make a day off all Monks episodes.
There is not many programs that are funny, spenceful, and learn something all in such a short time, and no foul langauge.
I love the Mr Monk whole cast! everyone has been great!!!
I am truly going to pray that I will be able to buy all the shows, Well guy’s it has been nice while it last. Maybe there will be a run of the show sometime like Lucy and Mayberry. Take care and God Bless you all, laughter is good medicine for the heart and soul, and it was all clean!: )

Recently my moms sisters died within 2 weeks of each other. (they were in their fifties). My mom was so crushed. Could not bare to stay home at Thanksgiving. She came to chicago to visit and as usual Friday night rolled around and there you were. She sat down and said “I don’t like to watch shows like this” then suddenly a laugh and the air was a little less heavy. When it was over, she said please call me every Friday and let me know it’s on. I said, “ok, but this will be the last” Her heart broke all over again. Funny, monk had his Trudy and Monk was our “Trudy”. Thank you USA for the great run. It is one show that survived Friday night..and you killed me him too.

Myhusband & I will miss Monk too much. It is the most entertaining show . The whole cast does a tremendous job at assisting Monk In all endeavors. OCD takes a new look. It makes you laugh.cry & just be happy. If possible renew it or I will be forced to get rid of Dish……& give up USA. I love this show and will miss it very much. Thank you, Tony Shalhoub, for the years of laughs and great performances. The entire cast is a fabulous fit, and all have done a marvelous job — each compliments the other. I want the show to continue, and wish there was a way to make that happen. Best wishes always to all of you! Monk was my Friday night date!
