My husband and I watch My Name is Earl, all the time after work every evening we watch it after dvr’d at midnight. Anyways I think it should come back on.

I totally agree….NBC really screwed up dumping “My Name Is Earl”, the only show worth watching on NBC is “The Office”. & I think there already getting there butts kicked by ABC ( Modern Family, The Middle, Cougar Town) & CBS (Two & A Half Men, How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory)! Let’s not give up on our crusade to bring back one of the best comedies NBC has ever had.

I must say I was really disapponited to hear of the cancelation of 1 of my favorite T.V. shows….unlike everybody else I hoped on the bandwagon after the show went into syndication. I think “My Name Is Earl” is one of the funniest shows on today & deserves to be up there with “The Office”, “Modern Family”, “The Middle”, “Two & a Half Men”, & “How I Met Your Mother”. I think if we continue to voice our opinions we can bring the show back. (Look what happened with “Family Guy”)! Listen up idiots in charge of NBC…..Bring back Jason Lee & the gang. Btw…I think Johnny Knoxville would fit in perfect with Earl, Randy & the Crabman, LOL!

It’s just another example of how a tv show that is based in the south and has a huge following in the south gets cancelled too soon!!!! These tv execs think that only the large northern markets and the west coast markets are all that matters, well those of us in the south are bored with those same old, same old shows. It’s actually surprising it lasted 4 seasons, just ask Rodney Carrington, Jeff Foxworthy and Bill Engvall.

Can we at least agree the acting in “My name is Earl” was better than parks and recreations? and the twists of karma are funnier than a middle government entity getting a permit…. I mean a date. If I wanted to see dating problems I would just watch 30 Rock.

MNIE is more of a reality show than all of the other “Real” Reality shows. Alot of us common people can relate to Earl. I can honestly say that it’s the only show I watch on NBC. I can think of a bunch of other shows NBC should cancel instead of Earl. Well, I guess it’s Good-bye to Earl for now and NBC—-Forever.

‘Earl’ stays fresh after four seasons, ‘30 Rock’ goes downhill in a major way (not only predictable, but even within those stupid plots I was writing better jokes off the top of my head) in it’s second season, but it’s “Earl’ that gets cancelled??? That makes NO sense.

THIS NEWS IS STILL KINDA FRESH TO ME. NBC IS ONLY GONNA GET BAD REVIEWS IN HOLLAND FROM NOW. NOT THAT I CARE ABOUT THAT STATION ONE BIT, BUT I DO CARE ABOUT GOOD SHOWS LIKE “MY NAME IS EARL”.

FIRST THEY MAKE SOMETHING PEOPLE GET ATTACH TO AND WAIT FOR EVERY WEEK. THAN THEY JUST TAKE THAT PART AWAY FROM THOSE PEOPLE AND LEAVE THEM FEELING EMPTY INSIDE.

THAT’S NOT RIGHT!

NBC AND OTHER AMERICAN COMPANIES ONLY THINK ABOUT GETTING MONEY IN. THEY DON’T WANNA SPEND ANY MONEY ON THE PEOPLE OF AMERICA.

I HOPE THAT ONE DAY AMERICA WILL COPY THE DUTCH SYSTEM OF HEALTH CARE AND TAX SPENDING. IF IT WORKS FOR 16 MILLION PEOPLE LIVING IN THIS LITTLE COUNTRY, WHY NOT FOR ALL USA. (307,006,085)

this is stupid, my name is earl is my favorite tv show. and its reasons like this that theres nothing ever on tv! bring it back! its hardly fair ending a show when its last episode features the words “To Be Continued”. at least give us one last series so we dont have to wait 30 years for someone to make it up for us in a competition like they did with the Italian job.

its ridiculous networks like the nbc just think that they can do what they want just because it has less viewers it means they have to cancell it it’s what all networks do it’s pathetic, what are other people supposed to do just stick with it i woudlnt think so it’s because networks suck nowdays i think the network its self should be shut down .

all they do is sit on their fat arses and look at the viewer response and take it from there the storyplot in the show could be amazing but because “they don’t get enough viewers” they cancell it television nowdays suck tottaly pahetic.

How could NBC take “My Name Is Earl” off TV?! It’s just crime. I know some people don’t like it, but what about the people that DO like it?! I will never watch NBC again!
You people need to at least let the Finale Earl be filmed so that he can make up everything else on his list!

I’ve grown tired of Earl, it has become seriously far fetched over the past few seasons. I still watched it, but couldn’t care less if I missed it, and I really won’t miss it much when it’s gone. If it does go another season there’s always TBS. I was upset to find out about Medium, which led me to this site, so I’m pleased to find that CBS saved the day!

I agree that a shows success should not require 20 million viewers. Do these studios forget that there are not only a dozen or so channels anymore like it was years ago? Viewers have literally hundreds of channels to choose from at any given time, plus DVR. It’s going to thin out the number watching any show. Bad move NBC. I will miss Earl.

I can’t believe this. NBC keeps and starts all of these crappy reality shows, and ditches Earl. Earl was one of only a few shows I watched on NBC. They are making a HUGE mistake! Hopefully it will get picked up by someone else like Scrubs did. Earl deserves better than NBC anyway.

The only reason I tuned into NBC anymore was to watch Heroes, Scrubs, Medium, and Earl. The only one left is Heroes and it isn’t even scheduled for an entire season. NBC sold off the rest to other networks or canceled them altogether. Why do they think we need Jay Leno at an earlier hour? He will be as unfunny at 10 o’clock as he was at 11:30. I agree with Marie, not all shows need to pull in 20 million viewers to be a successful, well written and well acted show. Smaller viewing audiences may simply mean that only true lovers of television art (yes it’s an art form, albeit a dying one) are watching. Someone throw NBC a life preserver because I think they’re circling the drain.

I cannot believe one of the few good shows, that I and my friends and family LOVE is being cancelled. What is wrong with NBC?? Are they totally clueless concerning the taste of the viewers. NBC is keeping total garbage, the list is too long to list, but to renew “Parks and Recreation” one of the lamest shows and not keep Earl. Forget about it. If Earl is not renewed, we will no longer suffer with this ignorance of NBC’s part. RENEW or suffer the consequences!!!!!

You know, I can’t help thinking….it isn’t just that the Nielsens are outdated, but that the very notion of what constitutes a “successful series” is outdated. It seems that all of my favorite shows cancelled this year: Pushing Daisies, Eli Stone, Kyle XY, Earl….all average about 6 million viewers per week. The CW renews shows that average around 2-3 million (but only if they star hot teens and are not called Angel or Reaper – douches!)

I guess my point is maybe it’s time for the nets to accept that some shows appeal to a small segment of the viewing populace and feed that market. In the case of each show mentioned, above the fanbase ranges from rabid to strongly interested. Chuck was barely saved. LOST would be gone already if it didn’t have an enddate DESPITE THE RABID FANBASE.

I don’t get it. What’s so wrong with niche programming? Works on cable. Target advertisers who will feed the needs of a smaller show’s audience. We matter too!
