I wasn’t able to watch MOWE due to a schedule conflict, and I was awaiting the summer reruns ’cause it looked from the promos like a winner.

Then I found it on Hulu and have been watching religiously; with every episode I like it better and better. (FYI: as of today, all the episodes will disappear from Hulu in 4 days).

This is the same group of programming geniuses who dropped JAG after one season.. so CBS ran with it for 9!!! and made a bundle. Maybe some sharp exec at cbs or fox will pick up MOWE.

We can but hope.

I don’t watch much on TV because programming leaves a lot to be desired. But Enemy was a fantastic show! I couldn’t bear to miss even a second of an episode, and I’m heartbroken to learn it was canceled. NBC didn’t give it a chance. I know lots of people who had never even seen it, but were intrigued with my description and would have tuned in to check it out.

ok so im a huge taylor lautner fan ( not because of twilight, i hated that movie) and i started watching this show because of him; i kept watching the show because i was hooked, and it is very interesting. the only problem is that nobody knew what channel it was on. i asked a few people so could watch the show ,but no one had an idea. i say more commercial WITH an idea of where to watch it

It should be a rule that if they plan to cancel they should have the final episode at least wrap up nicely without leaving people entirely freakin out. Another show i watch that was cancelled atleast managed to squash everything they had planned so it wasn’t so brutal as MOWE was. If nothing else if would make some of the cult followers happier.

This show was awesome. I have to agree with Madchen Amick, this show has a strong following, as did its predecessor “Journeyman”. It appears that NBC is only taking into account the Nielsen ratings, which cannot paint a full picture. Look at all of the internet response, not just on NBC, but everywhere. This is a good show, and well worth keeping around for at least a season, preferrably more. Perhaps the creators will consider making a “MOWE” movie. My fingers are crossed.

NBC sucks. They canceled Scrubs (now picked up by ABC), now they cancel M.O.W.E. The show wasn’t even given a real chance. I was one of the viewers that watched it on my DVR since I was always working while it was airing. They do own Sci-Fi and they canceled Stargate Atlantis.

These are the same idiots that cancelled Stargate Atlantis to create
an edgier Stargate with “new” Younger actors..

They either missed the demographic that is actually watching stargate or
are trying to save many by hiring starving actors that will work for less.

Premise is original and exciting.

9 shows is hardly enough time for many people in the fickle public to latch on to a show. for the most part, people watch what is put on TV. I think this show was awesome. Great cast, writing, effects, plot, etc. NBC advertised the hell out of this show. We show up to watch it, and i think more people were watching or recording this show than they post, and then they take it away. Make up your minds. If you don’t want to give shows a chance, don’t waste the money on them in the first place. Put that money into keeping crap like survivor, big brother, er, or whatever on. Everything seems to need to be a cop show, lawyer/ crime show, or a hospital show. Can we not have something on TV besides reality and the same old mix? Wake up NBC, bring Christain and the gang back.

When I heard Knight Rider was returning I was really excited but then they messed it up with Ford commercials for 60 min instead of sticking to the essence of the 80′s show. then just when I thought they made it up to the fans by creating an awesome show like My Own Worst Enemy some big shot decides ratings were low and time to cancel it!! Maybe someone has a split personality there at NBC.

The nelson rating system is out dated and archace. With the internet and DVRs all you would have to do is update the software and have the user agree to have the shows they watch and record sent in as part of the ratings then you would get a real ratings system. Now with this show being in canclled I will not watch any new NBC televion shows. I don’t know who is running that over there but I know for a fact I could do a better job then they are.

Every year, quality shows with real substance and value are canceled. Yes, I have “gotten used to” knowing that almost everything I watch will be canceled prematurely, while crap like Two And A Half Men wins Emmys. Emmys!! Sigh.

I guess todays execs forget that shows like Cheers ran for two or three years before hitting the Top Ten in the Ratings. They give NO CHANCE for shows that even already have a BUILT-IN fan base (see Firefly, Las Vegas, and many more).

Ratings shmatings! What? A thousand people in Iowa and Florida have Nielson ratings boxes monitoring their viewing habits? This is how things like Full House and that show with Urkel stayed on the air for over a decade.

And production costs… yes, lets’ all look forward to MOWE being replaced with Celebrity Phone Tree or MILF Island. Reality shows are cheap and they show it.

Cancelling a television show featuring one of the hottest teen hearthrobs of the moment (Taylor Lautner) is the most idiotic things I’ve heard of in ages. Perhaps changing the advertising strategy for the show and looking for that audience of tween-age girls might have been a better plan.

Very sad. NBC just doesn’t know a good show when it sees one. cut the special effects budget to make it more cost effective if you need to, that’s not why most of us are watching it!. It’s the acting and story line that is great, Christian and Madchen are great – come’on NBC pull your head out!. The effects are good, but that is not what keeps me coming back every week.
Shame shame shame on you NBC.
I hope as others do that a smart network will pick this up and run with it!

Yup, I knew it. I predicted this would happen after watching the pilot episode. I was excited and happy to finaly have a show that I could look forward to every week. The premiss was very original, and the effects and plotlines were fantastic. I just knew a show this spectacular would be wanked. The 4400 and My Own Worst Enemy are fantastic shows, and do deserve much better treatment than this. Christian you will be greatly missed

It’s so unfortunate that NBC doesn’t have their finger on the true pulse of viewers. It must be all about the mighty dollar. So, let’s show them who really makes the decisions! Let’s not buy products advertised on NBC! And let’s be public about it! If they don’t get advertising dollars, they’ll have to change the way they do business. We are the ones who decide, based on our buying habits and the advertisers and sponsors paying for the shows.

never watched the show but i will say the ratings system is stupid. it’s not even by actual real #’s…it’s basically a poll. when i researched how they actually did it…i found it insane that execs actually look at those #’s and ignore dvd sales and other ACTUAL concrete info. Las Vegas was and will be the last nbc show i watch because nbc sucks. sorry you cats lost a decent show but get used to it. do what i do, rent the stuff on dvd when it’s canceled so YOU control when and/if the show stops.

I am very upset over the cancellation of the show My Own Worst Enemy. It is one of the best show on tv. I am getting tierd of watching new shows and having them cancelled before they are even giving a chance. I am tierd of having some of my favorite characters left in limbo forever, with no resolution of thier stories. if this continues, i will give up watching tv altogether. shame on you NBC!!!!

If NBC cancels this show, I swear I will never watch another NBC show again. They’re obviously in need of new people or WHOEVER decided to cancel MOWE, because this show is amazing. After every episode it leaves you wishing it was next Monday. And not to mention the fact that it stars one of the BEST actors in the world, Christian Slater. (And that, my friends, is a FACT.)

Now that this show is cancelled I’ll have to start reading again. This, along with a long list of great shows, is being cancelled before it was given a chance to get an audience. I guess if you don’t watch a show as soon as it comes out it isn’t any good, at least that’s the networks way of looking at it. Each week this show gets better. It’s a shame we’ll never know exactly which (out of soooo many) directions this show would go. Well, back to the library!!!

My husband and I quickly became hooked on this program with the first episode! It’s an awesome series and Christian Slater is a great actor. The storyline is totally different from anything else currently on any other network. I don’t understand why these TV networks don’t give programs times to develop and find their way. We watch both Heroes and MOWE. We have a DVR and record both and watch them when we have time. What we like about the program besides being different is that it isn’t a doctor, lawyer, or reality show! Please reconsider this cancellation and bring back the show!

I don’t know how much our voices will make a difference, but I thought it was worth a shot to add mine to the list. If you can’t consider changing the time slot & leaving it on NBC, maybe a chance on another network is worth looking into. I find myself a bit addicted to the drama, anticipating its continuation each episode. The storyline is incredibly fascinating and enticing. My initial thought was that it was a clever idea, but watching it far surpassed my expectations. Seeing it played out makes me want to see more. I can’t imagine anyone having seen the first few episodes and not feeling the same way. I hope you do keep in mind that people (I am one of them) watch it on the Internet and I DVR it because I am not home in the evenings. It is not for lack of interest that it is not being viewed during actual airtime. I hope you’ll reconsider the cancellation, and hear our voices. People thought the same thing about shows like 24 on Fox and Lost on ABC. People questioned how far a show like either of those could possibly go – I think they proved to be quite extraordinary. NBC, this is your chance to outshine them all. The show is too powerful and can really put NBC back on the map where it belongs against its competition. There are many voices around the Internet speaking out against the cancellation. I hope you will take the time to listen. If not continuing in prime time on a primary channel, I think a compromise could be on one of your affiliates. I believe the fans of this show won’t let you down. I know I am one of them that will follow the show on whatever channel it lands – I only hope it doesn’t end up on a shelf somewhere. I hope you hear our voices.

This is the first show, in a LONG time on television that has been worth my interest and time to watch. It is very well done and peaks my interest each week. I look forward to new episodes and even bought them on Amazon. I am extremely disappointed that NBC has cancelled the show. Quality seems to be lacking in so many of the prime time programs. I enjoyed MOWE because it required you to THINK! Reality shows don’t. BRING IT BACK NBC!!!!

My Own Worst Enemy is a fantastic show. There is lots if excitment and great acting. I read NBC is picking up 2 more reality shows. Ick! There are alot of us who would rather throw ourselves into a exciting dramatic fantasy then sit threw a boring, “scripted” reality show that really isn’t reality because it is scripted. NBC use to be my favorite channel, I now watch 2 shows. I guess my watching NBC will end with the cancelation of MOWE and the ending of ER. Whom ever is running NBC needs to be canceled.

Bring it back. I agree that the Nielsen ratings are a very poor way to judge the life of tv shows. Unless every household has a Nielsen box, how is that a fair way to judge whether or not people watch the shows. Join the new millenium and instead of Nielsen ratings, try listening to the fans that watch the shows.

I think it is crazy to cancel My Own Worst Enemy. Some of us appreciate a complex plot, excellent acting, great storyline, subtle humor, interesting characers and quality production.
I had given up on television, but happened on the premier by accident and love it. It is the only tv show that I watch. As can be seen from the message boards, I am not alone. Many of the fans of MOWE are people who aren’t into the usual dumbed down, predictable story lines or reality tv and game shows. They ought to leave something for intelligent people to watch!

I thought the actors were good…I have always been a Christian Slater fan, but the story line was almost impossible to follow.

It required you invest at least four to five weeks of paying close attention to catch up, and I’m not sure that’s what most folks consider to be entertainment.

It is a great show. One that requires a little thinking. Network tv is really upsetting alot of people. CBS killed Jericho, another great drama for the people that like quality tv. Life On Mars is a ABC show, great acting and great story. I read that it is in danger of getting the ax. What a shame. I blame the networks and I blame the dumb people that cling to horrible so called reality shows like American Idol and Big Brother. Look in the mirror, am I talking to you?????????

Absolutely one of the best shows on the airwaves in a while. NBC is making a big mistake cancelling the show. Although the mistake will be unrealized by the broadcasting company, because there are plenty of other shows that offer cheap quick wins with the ratings, like reality TV, cheesy game shows, etc. You finally have a show with substance, twists, suspense, a great actor, great cast and you bail after 4 episodes. I think Fringe is the only other show out there right now that makes you think, keeps you guessing, keeps you interested. It’s a shame.
If I was the writer, I would take this storyline to the big screen and take the cast along for the ride. Then when you gross illions in the box office, you can politely tell NBC to go pound salt

i dont understand one thing, we all remember las vegas and how it ended without! an ending. now your gonna take away the only refreshing story on tv? maybe i should just stop watching tv. reality tv is so overdone, and these game shows are archaic. I mean, who cares if someone won a million dollars? are we winning it? no. a show that can put to shame most movies coming out in theaters finally shows up and they end it… typical NBC.

Wow – I only just discovered the show and LOVE it. Its amazing that NBC can be so short sighted and not give a show a chance. Seinfeld wasn’t an instant hit either but look what happened when given a chance to develop and find its audience. Hopefully a cable network with some vision will pick it up and run with it.

I can only guess money woes are to blame. They should’ve at least given it a full season since it has an on-going story arc.

Enjoying this show, and love to see Christian weekly. I will finish the series as it ends and applaude writers for taking twists and turns to change up viewing from the over satuarated crime scene stoies that steal the airwaves. Please reconsider this cancellation. Great cast.
