i found this show on xbox live and loved it, it reminded me of james bond for some reason. bring it back and it will have a good viewer basis. the problem was when it was on. they put it against established shows and that was a bad idea. put it on earlier and things will be better.

I love this show. I watched the first series (this was before widespread DVR existed remember?) and now I’m watching it again on hulu. LOOOOVE IT. I wish NBC would repeat this series again. Christian Slater was very likeable, and got to be both sweet and HOT in this! Love the duality. Bring it back!

Show was really interesting needed more time to grow on people, they should give it another season to see how well it will do, series like this need time to get into it. I started watching it from the day one, wife hated it and I kept watching said you will see how it goes, soon she got hocked on it, and now asking if its going to come back or was it like a mini series.

I loved this show! It was GREAT! NBC always cancels the great ones! I used to sit with my mom and watch every monday night even though I had to be at work 4:30 am the next morn. As far as ratings go, maybe it was off to a slow start due to cheesy promos but once you got into it, you were hooked.

I found My Own Worst Enemy on Amazon, and we watched the entire season in one sitting, we loved it. I can’t believe it was canceled and there won’t be a season 2? Good acting and an even better story, I mean how do they justify putting something on the chopping block after four episodes….. I didn’t even have time to tell anyone ” hey check this show out its BA” the only show that remotely resembles this is doll house and come on that show is BAD!!!!! knight rider good riddance but to hack down a great actor like Slater is dumb that show would have gone places.. I gave up watching television 3 years ago because the majority of “entertainment” that Networks produce is garbage. I don’t even have rabbit ears. I found a commercial for MOWE on a DVD and checked it out on NBC. I thought, “Well, well, there is hope for the flowers! Cerebral Entertainment with meat.”
I don’t know what to be more disappointed with, Networks who won’t stand behind their quality work for a minority of quality viewers or the mindless masses who prefer garbage. I suspect that the major networks will always cater to the “fast food” mentality because there’s more of them and that’s the one draw backs to Capitalism.

We LOVED My own worst enemy and were excited every week…and then it was cancelled and now FOX has Dollhouse, which is such a watered down version of My Own Worst Enemy. Dollhouse seems to be just an excuse to get more men watching a show, My Own Worst Enemy has an actual plot, and was miles better than Dollhouse!

Why would you cancel one of your best new shows??? Fox has a lot of “good”…I’m not really a fan of “Fox” but for some reason the major networks haven’t come up with many “thought provoking” fiction shows. I LOVED “My own worse enemy” , I got my daughters watching it and they love it too. The writing is off the wall….finally something for the more mature viewer…and you are going to CANCEL it????? Who is watching the helm here???? Maybe Fox should pick it up, they seem to have the edge when it comes to shows that grab you and make you think.
Hopefully one of the networks will. We really, really enjoy this program.

I was VERY disappointed when I discovered that My Own Worst Enemy had been cancelled. I love the story of Jekyll and Hyde and it was very refreshing to see something done RIGHT for a change! Christian Slater pulled of the switches VERY well; I was drawn in from the first episode. I would not have been NEARLY as upset as I am if they had actually concluded the show in such a way that it wrapped things up, but as it is, I am VERY annoyed. Every single viewer that was watching and loving this show was highly disappointed.

Viewers, if you’re looking for something spectacular along the lines of this story, check out the BBC mini-series “Jekyll.” It is truly amazing.

I CAN’T BELIEVE THIS SHOW WAS CANCELLED!! WTF NBC – are you serious?!? The comments above are right – this show started out a bit slow but was just hitting its grove, and NOW you’re pulling the plug?? Your programming director seriously needs to be FIRED. My husband and I don’t have many TV shows in common, but this was one that we watched and enjoyed together. We were always excited to see the new episodes waiting for us on our DVR, and are extremely disappointed that there won’t be anymore. We just finished the “last” episode, and can’t believe the show’s going to end that way!

NBC used to be the undisputed King of late night television – even when cable shows were starting to pull viewers away. Well now cable has nothing to do with it. It’s no wonder you’re losing viewers when you keep cancelling your best shows and keep crap like Knight Rider on the air. What’s next on your hit list – Life and Law and Order? Because those are the only good shows you have left….

That is so pathetic.

First of all, you put it on a Monday night during MNF. No wonder why the 18-49 demographic might be hard to get. Not only that its a NEW SHOW. Millions of viewers watched, perhaps more will tune in after word of mouth advertisement.

I told two of my friends to start watching the show and they started liking it.

Its pathetic how NBC would do this.

I sure do hope a network can pick it up..that and Heroes if they decide to ditch that too. Those two shows made my Monday night.

Looks like NBC has done it again. I was totally ticked off when they canceled Las Vegas last year and left all the viewers hanging. I swore I wouldn’t watch that channel again. Then I got hooked on MOWE, (the only inovative show in a long time)

I didn’t think I was going to like this show, even though I’m a huge Christian Slater fan, since the days of “Legend of Billie Jean”. I forced myself to watch the first episode, and when it was over, I said to myself, it wasn’t bad. I decided to watch the second episode, an undoubtedly became hooked on it. This became the third show in my Monday night lineup, after “Sarah Connor Chronicles”, and “Heroes”. This show was my closer for Monday night!!! Now it’s over? If people want bad reality shows they can watch “YouTube” if you want Great Quality Television shows you turn on “My Own Worst Enemy” !!!

Sickening. My favorite shows the the winter 2008/fall 2008 seasons combined were 1.New Amsterdam 2.Terminator 3.My Own Worse Enemy. Now 2 of the 3 are gone and Terminator is moved to friday deadzone, so it will be canceled soon as well. Guess i should thank TV execs for forcing me away from the TV. I already dont watch tv Tuesday-Saturday. (even stopped watching all 3 Law and Orders) Monday was the best nice with Terminator/Heroes/MOWE all in a row.

I actually took the time to join the NBC panel — something I would rarely do. NBC (and ABC) have lost the ball for what makes good television. It’s not reality TV — those shows aren’t even allowed on in my household — none of them!
Thought provoking storylines and great character development makes a show great — and that can’t be done in 4 episodes when they cancelled it.
And — everyone in the last 30 yrs have changed how we watch TV — VCRs, TiVos, DVRs, and the internet — I don’t have to sit in front of your 60 minutes — 17 minutes of commercial dictated programming. You can cancel and waste money or learn from your mistakes.
Big television is dead like the automakers they have failed to adapt to technology and the changing needs of the public’s desires in a timely fashion.

…and did you notice that the show was really hitting it’s stride in the last few weeks. They canceled this show just a few in before getting a chance to build. Seinfeld was not great the first few episodes…but it hit it’s stride and went on to be HUGE. I wonder if the show was called Law & Order: My Own Worst Enemy, if that would have allowed it to stay. Seems like they have a half dozen shows (and it works for CBS with CSI spin offs). SUCKS!!! Same thing happened last year with Journeyman.

You finally put something on that people will watch (other then reality shows for teens) and you drop it this quick… I am sure you do not care about me wasting 5 min of my life to make these comment, but I for one will be removing your channel from my TV listing. I guess if enough people did that, you would reconsider, but there are far too many teens watching your reality shows for this to make an impact. I hope your sponsors do well with the big spenders. Why would the cancel this, it pulls in a pretty good audience, NBC expects too much from the shows in this timeslot, anyone remember Journeyman? That was the show in this timeslot last year and it was canceled too. The show was pretty good.

I bet whatever show ends up in this timeslot gets canceled next year too, Im not even going to bother watching it since all the shows in that timeslot seem to be canceled and never get a chance to finish

reading through the comments – Ken makes a good point. HBO takes the time to let shows mature and grow on their audiences before pulling the plug. Because My Own Worst Enemy didn’t become an overnight ER does’nt mean NBC should give up on it. This blows – somebody trashed the computer at janus and now we’ll never know what the hell happened. My Wife and I stopped watching Boston Legal for this show (which we watch later in the week on abc.com) NBC creates these riveting shows, get viewers drawn in, then spit us out. Same thing they did with Studio 60 (Seriously? you decided to keep 30 Rock? WTF????). NBC blows – glad they are bankrupt. You don’t do this to viewers. I know they are a business, but they have other timeslots to mess with. Heroes has been somewhat lame this season so perhaps following heroes isn’t the best idea.

I just watched the last episode of MY OWN WORST ENEMY. Is this how NBC plans to end the series? On a goddamn cliffhanger? What the hell is this?

The teleivsion executives of today are a sad shadow of the executives of the past . . . and that includes the past decade. This is pitiful.

I would love for another MY OWN WORST ENEMY to be picked up by another network. But sadly, I do not see this happening.

You fools seem to think that the 18-49 demographic is what’s most important to your schedulling. That’s BS. You should be targeting the 60+ BOOMERS who have all the money, all the time to watch TV, and can out spend 90% of the working class. While they are still trying to pay off houses, cars, boats and kids education, the BOOMERS pay cash for their new cars, cruise around the world and spends a lot of their leasure time watching more T.V. than anyone else.

You are overlooking the greatest market you will ever have. I know you know what I’m talking about because, you are aiming more commercals at us. Now, you need to do the same with your programing. Fools like you deserve to loose your ratings.

WTH? Why would they cancel a show after 4 episodes? That’s sooo dumb! It amazes me how STUPID the networks can be. They keep doing the same BS. They get good shows, determine that the ratings aren’t what they want then can the show. Fox did it, now NBC is doing it. Why can’t they leave well enough alone. Who on earth is expecting killer ratings with the current TV/internet environment? Ppl are not watching TV like they used to but don’t cut the shows that those of us who actually are watching like. Give the show a chance, seriously. These networks are pissing me off. WAKE THE HECK UP.
