Compared to last year’s Revenge premiere in the same timeslot, the network was down by 15% in the demo (vs a 3.3 rating) and down by 10% in viewership (vs 10.02 million). This wasn’t a terrible start but it’s not a great one either.

Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.

“Nashville” is the best show on ABC of late. The writing is good, the music is good the acting is good; what’s not to like?

Both ABC’s “Revenge” who had the Wed 10p time slot last season and “Once upon a time” seem to be floundering in the writing department and the storylines have gotten absurd; I doubt they will be picked up for a third season. If they are, they will struggle and lose audience. ABC will need a Sunday replacement for “Revenge” and “Nashville” is the best on show on any of the old alphabet networks.

Adult and some kid fans of “Glee” might be looking for a less preachy and less gay centric, music based outlet; besides the “Glee” storyline is less believable than “Once upon a time”; …Ryan Murphy is already busy with another gay centric show (“New Normal”) and Glee has really suffered. I’m waiting for the kids from “Glee” to sing with an alien from outer space who feels like an outcast at McKinley High in Ohio

The cast and crew on “Nashville” all seem hungry to do well and the show could be a really big hit. If played right, “Nashville” has the potential to become as big or bigger than “Dallas” in its heyday.

RIP Larry Hagman.

I absolutely love “Nashville” it is the best show this year!! I am hoping a soundtrack will be released because the music in this show is AMAZING…and I am not even a big country music fan, it spans genres. Reality tv is terrible, edited fake drama crap. :)

The actors really make it look real and sparks fly between the couples, wish it could be longer than an hour. Please don’t cancel.

Angela November 29, 2012 at 10:30 pm

They better renew this show otherwise TNT will pick it up just like they did another awesome network-cancelled show, Southland.

The show gets better weekly and the music is dynamite!

Pammy November 29, 2012 at 3:28 pm

Love the show!!! Please renew!!

This is the best show that has been on television in a very long time. Not only is the music top notch, so is the acting and the story line. I find the show very entertaining, and look forwards to Wednesday nights. I hope that this show is not cancelled. With all the television channels everyone gets these days, I think that it is hard to become noticed as a series. I believe that if this show goes into season 2 it will become a hit as more people become aware of it. I LOVE the music… hoping that a CD for purchase comes out for Christmas!!

Love the show & the music. Can’t believe what beautiful voices some of these actors have. And the songs? Love ‘em.

Please don’t cancel this show. Seems all my faves get cancelled!
