New Girl: FOX Orders Two More Episodes

There’s more “Jess” on the way. FOX has ordered two additional episodes for the current season of New Girl, bringing the second season total to 24 installments.

New Girl looked like a big hit when it premiered last fall to a 4.8 demo rating with 10.28 million viewers. Over the course of the season, it fell as low as a 2.2 rating with 4.4 million. The season averaged a 3.2 demo rating with 6.52 million.

The current season is averaging a 2.8 rating and 5.12 million. It’s currently FOX’s third-highest scripted series, behind The Simpsons and Family Guy.
