No Ordinary FamilyLast night, ABC unveiled their much-anticipated new TV show, No Ordinary Family. Were the ratings heroic or will the family and their adventures soon be cancelled?

No Ordinary Family revolves around the Powell family who, while on vacation, crash into Amazon River and gain special abilities. The new show stars Michael Chiklis, Julie Benz, Autumn Reeser, Jimmy Bennett, Kay Panabaker, Tate Donovan, Christina Chang, and Romany Malco.

According to the Nielsen ratings, No Ordinary Family attracted a 3.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 10.69 million total viewers. For the timeslot, it ranked in second place in both categories.

TV show supportConsidering that it aired opposite a hit show like NCIS: Los Angeles (which had a 3.7 rating and 16.51 million viewers), No Ordinary Family had a very good debut.

We’ll have a better idea about the show’s future in the next couple weeks as we see if the show’s audience grows or significantly shrinks. For now it looks to be in really good shape.

Please do NOT cancel this show. ABC needs to give the show, at least, one more season to see if it takes off to the ratings the “want”. Like other posters, I look forward to the show week after week and would love to anxiously await the Season Premiere of season 2. The writers have just opened up so many opportunities with how season 1 ended. There is finally an action show out there people can watch with their children – no matter how young or old those kids are. When was the last time that happened?!?!?

The writers have done a wonderful job with twists in the plot that you can’t figure out..please give it a second season..

I don’t have time to watch that much tv but I love No Oridnary Family. I watch both NCIS and No Ordinary Family. I tape one and watch it when I have the time.

I think to many shows now days get cancelled before they even have a chance to truly shine the way the writers and directors and cast and all who participate know they can. Take the show Firefly, killed off way before it should have been. Also being aired at the same time as NCIS: Los Angeles does not give the show a proper rating statistic, that is like placing Tyson in the ring with Bill Gates. We all know how that would end, Tyson would eat Gates, literally! I think this show needs another season, not just to shine like we all know it can but also because it is just messed up to leave your viewers hanging in the wind with so many burning questions about what is yet to come. Nothing has been resolved or finished, if anything if they want to cancel the show then they should at least give the cast and crew a proper send off by giving them the respect they deserve and making a movie to end it properly. I don’t think any of these requests are asking to much, and if you really do want people to watch your shows for better ratings then look at the polls online and everywhere else and pay attention. EVERY SITE I HAVE BEEN TO THE PEOPLE SAY THEY NEED MORE!!!!

I love the show. It’s different from all the shows that are out there. All the other shows similar just defferent actors. No ordinary Family keeps me on the edge of my seat every episoide. It’s also a family show where my 11 year can sit down with me. We all love it at my house.

ABC should think more about the fans and what they want instead of how much money they can stuff in there wallets and there already overflowed bank accounts.
Personally I enjoy No Ordinary Family and so does my family as well my 4yr old son already is trying to emulate Jim Powell the show gives us something worth watching on Tuesday nights, and so PLEASE KEEP THE SHOW RUNNING! DO NOT CANCEL IT. I am hoping to see at least 5 season out of it.

DON’T DON’T DON’T DON’T CANCEL THIS SHOW, REGARDLESS OF WHAT SOME PEOPLE ARE SAYING, THIS SHOW IS GREAT AND IT DESERVES A SECOND CHANCE! PLEASE! IT HAS SO MUCH POTENTIAL!! :( I WOULD BE SO DISAPPOINTED IF THIS SHOW WAS CANCELLED.

This show is one of the most amazing I have ever seen , every episode grips me and goes by very fast, I would really hate to see it go off the air. It has amazed me and surprised me since it first aired. Please give this show a chance!

This show has not been given a real chance to prove itself. 1. It was put into an almost impossible time slot. 2. It has been moved heither and yond and only God knows where. I love Dancing with the Stars, but I would rather see a first run no ordainary family than a highlight from a previous show. How about showing a little fairness and give this show a fighting chance.
