October Road: ABC Cancels Bryan Greenberg Series, No Season Three

October RoadWord has come down that, after a less-than-impressive sophomore year in the ratings, ABC has decided to cancel October Road.

The news has been suspected for some time and was cinched by the network’s interest in the U.S. version of Life on Mars. Boston Legal’s creator, David E. Kelley, owns the rights to do a Mars series in the states. He had been committed to write and executive produce the series for ABC but recently decided to bow out. As a result, ABC execs have been hot to sign Road creators Josh Appelbaum, Andre Nemec, and Scott Rosenberg to the new series. They’ve now closed the deal and sealed Road’s fate.

ABC had attempted to find another home for Road but were unsuccessful in finding a buyer.

All 19 produced episodes of October Road have aired. The series finale aired on March 10th but unfortunately didn’t offer viewers any closure. Will we ever know the identity of Sam’s father? Stay tuned! TV Series Finale home page

First and foremost ya all are making the wrong decision. Instead of the ridiculos reality shows and Jon and Kate plus 8 you get rid of a decent show. Seriously its not very often you get men and women, (husband and wife) to watch shows together. You hit the jackpot with October Road and then pull it away from us. THANKS!!!! Instead your going to show those stupid shows that have no meaning. I wonder about producers!
If they would get on with the show and start showing some results to who the father is. Maybe they would see some ratings:) Well, hopefully some minds are changed.

I liked the show. Acting was solid. I’ve seen a lot worse series last a lot longer. Glad to see the closing chapter on the DVD.

Please bring October Road back!!! I don’t think I can stand the possibility of never knowing whats to come with the characters I have come to know and love. I’m really torn apart over this. We viewers deserve some closure!!

I’ll never understand why genuinely good shows get pulled, and tripe is still allowed to traverse the airwaves !!!!!….. If any of season 3 has been recorded, put it out on DVD at least !

Thanks for the answer.. So the epilogue of this really nice show is only 9:53 minutes..? But there were so many ananswered questions, how can they be answered is such a sort time? And you have to buy the whole dvd set in order to watch this or it will be played in the tv like in the channel foxlife that I m already watching the second season right now?
