I don’t want to watch the 15min conclusion. I want to watch this series end as it’s supposed to. It’s a shame that todays series either don’t have endings, or in other caseses are draged on for indefenetly just so some punk ass company could earn a 1$ more.

We are in November 2009 and still I wonder if this show is coming back. Some posters have noted that this show was better than reality tv. Well, guess what it was. The new line ups this year just don’t compare to the great writing and chemistry between characters that October Road had. I will also add that I would like to see this show return. It is sad to see the actors from October Road on other shows that just don’t give them enough air time. So, once again…. please bring this show back. Thanks.

October Road was one of the most captivating dramas to hit network television in a long overdue time. With the obsession with mindless reality tv, it was a breath of fresh air to someone who had nearly lost hope in network television. The show was truly amazing: everything from storyline, intrigue, to the cast, and deperately needs to be brought back. The network ruined one of the best shows they have displayed in quite a while with their writer’s strike, lack of clear broadcast time and advertisement, etc, and that is a shame. I would be happy to see this show comeback in any capacity-whether it picks up close to where it left off, or if it comes back a few years in advance-much like One Tree Hill. Regardless, ABS owes it to it’s loyal viewers to revive October Road.

Wow we are in May of 2009 and people are still upset. I thought I was alone. These networks are so out of it. They continue to start a series, get people hooked on a storyline and characters, then drop it for no good reason. I can just imagine them running through the libraries and bookstores tearing out the last few pages or chapter of all the books and going oooooohhhh yeah!!!! While they laugh maniacially. Really, really, really frustrating. They have done this to so many shows and they should be forced to at least give us a finale of those story lines. Right???

My husband and I loved to watch this show together. This was the only show that we would watch together. I think it was ridiculous for ABC to cancel this show. I work in the legal field and if there was some way to make you put the show back on the air, I would do it. Ten minutes to answer all of our unanswered questions, come on, you call yourself writers……….give us a full episode 1 hour to tell us what the truth is and what will happen in the future. If it has to be canceled, leave the devoted viewers with closure and everything being okay. ABC, get it together and when you start a show at least give it more than 2 seasons for it to catch the attention of viewers, and don’t air it on the same night as Idol. That was an ABC mess up and they should have fixed it.

It’s sad that a good show gets canceled and all the dumb (but sex filled) reality shows are kept on the air….I guess from now on I’ll stick with all the good shows on HBO & Showtime…thanks for nothing ABC

i just now found out this show is gone ! Im more then a bit disapointed. too many stupid shows on the air, take those off and leave the good ones, oct road being one of the best Ive seen since juding amy which was also taken off the air. Fans wait with bated breath for their shows to return season after season just to learn its not coming back? I couldnt understand why I hadnt seen it back on yet so did a internet search to find out this crap- Im so mad ! October Road, Life on Mars, Traveler and What about Brian are just examples of the poor judgement ABC exec’s have about good tv. I just keep watching good tv on CBS. By ABC. This is a enormous shame to network TV. This was a wonderful ensemble of a cast and a well-acted television show. My husband and I very much looked forward to watching this show. You should be enormously embarrassed with this decision and sadly when you look back you’ll realize that this was a poor decision made on the part of your network. You discarded away good programming and for what? I’m not entirely clear what could have possibly been the reasoning behind it. Ratings should not be a major determining factor for this because we all know from past shows that were on the verge of being cancelled that it takes some time for viewers to catch on and honestly popularity of television shows is more about word of mouth. Your network made a big mistake. Hopefully another network that sees the potential of this show will snatch them up.

This was the perfect story for all of the late 20′s generation. I just had my 10 year reunion and was really relating to the changes and transitions of not seeing my friends for ten years. I too left a girlfriend behind and hadn’t seen her until i got back. A lot of friends were mad at me for not being there for them and just showing up after all these years, but they were also glad , in the sense of better late than never, that i finally showed up. So this show was a great medium for me to handle my transition back to my old life and now its not coming back on. truly sucks for me.

I have to say I was very dissapointed when this show was cancelled. It gave us mid 20′s-30′s something to look foward to. It was a great mix of Friends & One Tree Hill. Reality shows are taking over the stations and people need an escape. I too hoped TNT would’ve picked up this show as my TV is often turned to that channel. This was a show for a certain generation that people seemed to have forgotten about. It was different than your random comedies, teen drama, medical scenarios & reality TV that flood our TV.

Yah, I will miss October Road. I also understand Boston Legal will soon be gone.
Thank God the executives at ABC really know what we like. I can’t wait for another show like the Bachelor, or Who wants to be a Millionaire? That’s really great entertainment!
No wonder the cable networks like TNT are cleaning up.
Network TV thinks they can prosper by building a line-up around 2 or 3 over-the-top dramas, and hope we’re to dumb to change the channel.

By cuting October Road you’ve clearly demonstrated that you’re over paid and should be fired.
If I had the time, I’d personally revive the show and put it on TNT. They get it.
In fact, I’m curious as to why no cable channel has picked up this show.
I know the writer’s strike was a problem for many shows. That the strike contributed to the loss of October Road was regrettable in the extreme.
As an aside, generally, I have to side with the writers. Creative is under paid and their contribution is very much under appreciated. Just consider the history of the Record Industry. Artists (creative) get pennies. Its disgusting. Well, TV execs are little better. They give us a couple ‘Big Dramas’ and promote the heck out of a generally dissappointing lineup.
TNT…PLEASE pick up October Road.

I should have known that as soon as I got attached to this show, it would be cancelled. It seems all the shows with heart and substance get cancelled. This show had great characters and stories. I can’t believe that it was cancelled. I am glad to hear they are filming a show that may provide closure, but it only softens the blow that it is cancelled. I can’t believe ABC did not see the value of this show and of its loyal viewers. What a rip off!!!!!!!

This show was quality …it reminds me of my own smalltown that I grew up in and the characters are so real,,,,everyone can relate to someone in the show….I am an aspiring writer with sentimental and not all my memories of my smalltown ar falttering,,,,,so Nick is someone I relate to,,,,but we all know our own Nicks, Eddies, and something we relate to. The show is spectacular with the photography and filming. I don’t blame ABC as much as viewers that don’t appreciate true quality. I still hoped some other show company would pick it u, but I at the very least hope they do complete the final episode and add it to the season II DVD, definetly will buy it.

This is why tv ratings are always down. they take off the good shows to leave crap that has no meaning. just when something good comes to tv they take it off to put reality shows. it’s getting old. people want to watch something that will make them forget about real life and let them get envolved with other characters! if you know what is good you’ll bring it back or somebody should!!! October Road, is a great show! I can’t believe its cancelled……? It makes you wonder who is picking the shows for ABC to be aired. It was a bad time slot, If anything Hurt the ratings it was the stupid TIME SLOT!!! Its been the best thing on TV, since Friends or Seinfeld. The Network needs to re-evaluate this decision. But to the Cast, I thought your show was very very good, you all should be proud, as well as the Writers. My hope is that if ABC doesnt reconsider , then another Network has the Forsight, to pick this show up.

What the hell????? I knew it had been cancelled but was hoping for some proper finale. I haven’t felt this jipped since Third Watch went off the air and they tried to sum everything up so quick it turned out crappy!!!!! But atleast they tried!!!

I miss this show so much. It quickly became one of my all time favorite shows, ever. There are so many loose ends that I have a hard time believing they can fit it into a few minutes. Who is Sam’s daddy? Will the love Eddie has for Janet allow him to forgive Janet? (I hope so) and Will Eddie beat the tar out of Rooster? Will Hannah learn who the real, gorgeous but evil, Big Cat is? Will Nick and Hannah reunite? And Ronnie and Aubrey…Awwwwww. Physical Phil and Pizza Girl. Allison and Owen. The Commander and Leslie. And it is high time Ikey is not alone anymore. I am thinking Rory for Ikey. Thank you to the cast for doing the epilogue. Just shows how special this show and it’s wonderful cast is. I will never give up hope. A fan forever!

I agree with Crystal most of what is on TV now is crap. I loved the characters on OR. I want to know what happens to them. I hope Phil gets out of the house. I want to see Janet and Eddie make up. We need to know who Sam’s father is. There was so much more story to tell. It is sad we won’t be able to check in with these characters and watch them grow and move forward with their lives. I am really connected to them.

I hate investing in characters and then having the show canceled.
