Get a grip – - seriously – - this show is great and so is the entire cast. You wish it would be cancelled – but I don’t see that happening. Choose not to watch if you wish (although it sounds like you do – perhaps a closet watcher – - ), but nevertheless, simply do not watch – - no need to be so rude about it.

I LOVE this show! Lauren Graham is good, but she is definitely not the only talent in the room. This show is chock full of talented actors. It is one of only two scripted television shows we watch at my house. It is full of warmth and subtle humor, and every episode comes together in the end in such a sweet way… not sappy, it just reminds us of how beautiful and rewarding these family ties can be.

Lauren Graham is a great talent that deserves better than this boring, confused mixed up
confused cast of characters. Ron Howard can surely do better than this. Probably one of the worse TV shows I’ve seen in recent years. Poor writing. Poor casting. Why would anyone want to see this every week ? The Gilmore Girls was a gen. Parenthood is a dog.
And not a dog I want to visit me every week. The whole concept doesn’t work.
Drop it and start over again. Almost anything would be better. Face reality or just wait until the figures come in and it will be cancelled. As a one-time show, Parenthood was fairly good. As a series ? ? ? Forget it.

Delighted to hear about Lauren Graham… Will watch SPECIFICALLY DUE TO HER BEING IN IT. Would not even remotely consider if it had been Helen Hunt… what I’ve seen of her, she is entirely too saaaaapy and not the actress she’s cracked up to be… Lauren Graham is a gem. GG is THE show that brought me to TV land and away from my distaste for the passive act of watching television.. she’s unbelievably talented… as is the writer of the lines for the first number of seasons! Can’t wait to see this newest work of Graham’s!

We’re HUGE fans of Lauren Graham and we too would not have even had any interest in this show until she came on board. She has been so underutilized in movies like Flash of Genius and Evean Almighty, being only cast as the long-suffering wife. She’s much more talented than that, as her time on GG showed. Only difficultly will be accepting her as the parent of anyone but Rory!

When I heard they were attempting another tv spinoff of Parenthood, I had lukewarm feelings. It is awful that Maura Tierney has been diagnosed with cancer, and I wish her health and happiness in this new year. That being said, I had no plans to watch this show, even with Peter Krause (I too miss the Fishers), but with Lauren Graham in it now I am definitely going to be DVRing the show to see if I like it. I hope so. I so miss the Gilmore Girls…

i didnt know that this show was happening until i searched recent news on Lauren Graham. i was really excited to hear that she will be on t.v. again! sad that she’s not going to be playing the role of Lorelei Gilmore on Gilmore Girls (still hope for a reunion show/movie) anymore but its going to be fun to watch her in action on t.v. again!

well I was not even aware this show was going to premire until the commercials started airing recently……I was sad to read here that Maura has been diagnosed with breast cancer….that is horrible….I am a nurse and her character was always an inspiration to me…absolutley loved her! …..that being said I am a die hard….watched every episode from 1 to the end in order in record time….fan of Lauren Graham! Lorelei Gilmore was an awesome character…..I loved her role…..so quirkey and witty, smart and fun. I bought the first season set for my daughter since being a single mom and daughter like the characters and we both fell in love with the show! So excited to se her on the screen again…..I miss the gilmore girls and hopefully this show will fill that void! lol

My husband worked on this movie. There were numerous problems with Tierney which I suppose could be related to her health. I think Graham would be an excellent choice. Never saw her in anything I didn’t like.

I think Lauren Graham is a great choice. I was never interested in tuning in toThe Parenthood- but now I will definitely look forward to watching it in January. I loved The Gilmore Girls – all the characters – and still watch it in reruns! Laruen Graham hasn’t been given the roles her talent deserves. I hope this is a home run show for all concerned – but espacially for Lauren.

I am eagerly looking forward to this TV show because I really want to see Lauren!! I loved the Gilmore Girls and am currently watching the series from show one..I wanted to see it from the beginning. I really liked all the actors/actresses in the show and the wide variety of characters. They really added to the show. But, anything that Lauren is in, will no doubt be good. She is an excellent actress!

Lauren Graham is an EXCELLENT choice. She can handle any part and should be given an opportunity to fully demonstrate her acting abilities. I love to listen to her on talk shows where she has an opportunity to speak on a variety of subjects. Naturally funny lady.

Though I was dragged by my own parents to see the movie – and ended up loving it – back then, I was reluctant to think of it as a tv series. When I saw Maura Tierney was casted intially, I was eager to see the ER doc goto a comedy. The change of genres would have been a great for Tierney. I loved Lauren Graham in Gilmore Girls and think she will not disappoint. Much love and luck to Tierney. NBC, let’s see if you can get her back after an anticipated recovery!

I am ecstatic at this news. If NBC plays their cards right this could be the beginning of their way back to the top but if they give tepid backing especially since it is going to premiere mid-season then they will get what they deserve. I just hope the writers do a good job of mixing comedy with serious matters much like the writers managed to do on Gilmore Girls. BTW, I think graham is a better pick than Helen Hunt.

Truth be told I had little to no interest in watching this show especially seeing how not too much is on NBC anymore that’s really deemed it’s good old slogan “Must See TV!”

But now that you mention that Lauren Graham might be on a show…well then it was only a matter of time before you dangled the bait in front of me wasn’t it? I’ll watch it for her being it, now let’s hope it’s good. Peter Krause, wasn’t he the one who played Nick on Dirty Sexy Money? I liked that show…
