penn and teller fool us TV show ratingsSo far, The CW has struck out with their new summer series. Seed, Backpackers, and Famous in 12 have already been cancelled and didn’t even get to finish their seasons. Will Penn & Teller: Fool Us bring the small network some “ratings magic” or will this show disappear as well?

On Penn & Teller: Fool Us, aspiring magicians perform tricks and illusions for the famous duo in an attempt to fool and impress them. If they succeed, the magicians get a chance to perform in Las Vegas with Penn and Teller. British television personality Jonathan Ross is the host.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. Not my cup of tea, removing it from my recording list.
Disliked it because the format is boring to watch.
Watched the episode where the “Wizards” were up against a male and female and they had gotten there by doing tricks with Spam, a water gun and cards.
Sorry but the tricks / illusions they did against the Wizards were far better and entertaining.
But they lost. Penn had it right, the others out voted him? The others are also “Wizards” any surprise they don’t support their buddies?

Well “Why Watch” please share with all of us the successful shows you have produced. Thought so.
For the other comments please don’t watch the show or show us the wonderful magic illusions you have performed. Magicians do not tell others how things are done. Those of you who have mastered their one trick and did it at a dinner party, then tell their audience how they did it, quickly found out their audience was very disappointed. Try it.
Keep the show on for the rest of us who are tired of CSI….

It’s the show that is agony. I’ve seen many wonderful magicians and illusionist, but this show does not do them justice.

HA! Where are my comments I made the other day and confirmed? But, in case you lost them. The show is not as advertised. When they figure out the illusion Penn talks so fast we are confused in the audience. On one illusion Penn says he saw this trick before by someone else (blindfolded illusionist displays Royal Flush with cards) and didn’t explain anything.
I like the format, but Penn needs to slow down and if they are going to tell us how the illusion was done Penn and Teller should do a better job of it.
