IT WAS RERUN SEASON AND WOW’THIS SEEMED LIKE A HOTTER SURVIVOR. THEY WERE WELL FED, AND WITH HOT OUTFITS AND JEWELRY, I LOVED IT, WHEN THEY TOOK A PAUSE, I THOUGHT IT WAS TO STIR UP INTEREST. IMAGINE MY BETRAYEL, I WAS WATCHING A NEW SUMMER SHOW, TALKING IT UP, LOOKING FORWARD, THEN, NOTHING. CBS LEFT ME HANGING, THINKING THEY WERE GETTING ME GOING. THEY DIDN’T TELL ME SQUAT. Wow what an ending, I really enjoyed watching this reality show, it was awesome. Please reconsider and give us another season , the ratings were not good because of the date and timing of more popular ones , but if you try it at another time I think more people will watch and learn that they love this show.

How annoying!!! We knew it wasn’t “quality” television — but it was cheesy fun! My nephew and I had a lot of fun with it… how many places in your adult life do you get to play pretend??? We were jealous and would have loved to get on that ship! Treasure is cool, but the whole experience looked like fun!

You have got to be kidding! I cannot believe that once again CBS has pulled a show befor the fans have been able to see the end of the story line. Please air the final episodes online at least. You owe it to the loyal 7 million viewers to bring closure. I may rethink watching anything I like on CBS…this happens time and time again.

We just got home from vacation & looked for the final weeks of the Pirate Master!We just found out the series has been cancelled. I think CBS are nuts to not give the viewing public at least the final show of the series and let us know who are the winners! CBS this may come back a bite you in the rear on any other series because you cannot be trusted to follow through on a series!

Cheesy is what made Pirate Master so fun to watch. The current management at CBS are idiots! You would have gained so many viewers in the second half of the summer because there is nothing else on! Some of the best programming on TV in the past has been on CBS, but with all the channels available to people, you have to give something new a little time. I looked forward to Thursdays for PM. What adult can’t get into playing pirate like a kid. Seven million in the early summer seems like a pretty decent number to me and cancellation was bonehead. May I recommend another slightly cheesy, but quite entertaining program on USA–”Burn Notice”–also on Thursday, at least in my area.

At first I thought Pirate Master must have been Pre-empted to show something else, but after a few weeks I came to the conclusion that it must have been cancelled. Now I have confirmation. Admittedly it was not the greatest reality show, but I have been watching survivor almost since the beginning, and was willing to give it a try.
My wife and I came to look forward to it. Face it the summer is a desert of TV entertainment, and Pirate Master was a small oasis. Now even it is gone. I spend my Thursdays channel surfing for a while then giving it up.I would at least like to know how it ended.

It’s incredibly irritating to get interested in a show and then not being able to see it finish out. There were some really interesting personalities and it would have been great to see who won out in the end. CBS should have sucked it up and let it play out. It’s summertime and not a lot of good viewing on any channels. I believe Pirate Master would have continued to grow an audience if left on the air.

I just spent 3 weeks in Europe and the only show I dvr’d was Pirate Master. Once again, CBS disappoints and cancels a show midstream. I still have it on my DVR, so please bring it back (even at 2:00 a.m) so we can see how it ends!

CBS — First you replaced/cancelled some of my favorite shows … Judging Amy … Picket Fences …. Men in Trees … The Guardian … Northern Exposure .. then you decided to take off one of my new favorite reality shows … Pirate Master!!! I think I’m done with you. I really liked Dan Rather on CBS News …. then you got rid of him and replaced him with Katie C. … what are you people thnking??? The one show that I really enjoyed watching and was cancelled. That was the only reason that I watched was for Pirate Master. Now I won’t bother, 7 million people want to see how it ends. Did they ever think that not all the 7 million own a computer. so how are they going to find out who wins. CBS does not have a clue on what people like. They should take a hint if all 7 million quit watching all together, or they just don’t care.I have seen other shows hang around that were a lot worse. Bring Pirate Master back to TV

I read an article that one of the former contestants may have committed suicide! Can this be true?

Even though the show seemed a tad like it was going no place…..I enjoyed seeing the interaction of the personalities. Funny how the attitudes change is one’s backside is on the line! All in all, this was much better than some of the repeats. I actually miss the show.

I like Pirate Master but leave it up to CBS to cancle a show and never give it a chance is normal it seams. And then put the old stand by 48 Hours or somekind of crap like a specal report show in it’s place. How stupid can you get.48 hours SUCKS. Who are this Producers anyway? There all ways showing the same old thing. Another tear jerkier or some close ups of someone walking on a beach looking out to God knows where or standing on a porch looking over the country side after telling there story and then the reporter giving there stupid comment at the end like they really truly care or know how this people are really feeling. I guess what I am saying there’s gust to much drama going on in the world today we see it on the news all the time.Give use a brake, That’s how I feel about it.

I was so disappointed to find that CBS cancelled Pirate Master suddenly. I didn’t care for it as much as Survivor, which is my favorite but I did want to at least watch it to the end to see who won. I think they should have allowed all episodes to air and then if they elected to cancel it, that would be fine.

Thanks for nothing. You have ruined any good feelings we had for CBS. I bet Regis Philban would have told you to keep Pirate Master running. If for no other reason but for the lousy 7 million viewers it had. We can’t get it online. Now what else are you going to give us and take away? I guess we will have to wait for another Survivor. Can you email me and tell me who won on Pirate Master. My husband and I had a bet on it. Oh well, life is tough. I bet its really hard at the top. Whether a reality series has good ratings or not, I think the network has a responsibility to finish the run. I personally didn’t like Pirates but if I was to have continued watching the show, I would be pissed to know that they can’t finish airing 5 episodes! Are you telling me they couldn’t have aired the final episodes on a dead time slot on Saturday?

I am very dissappointed with CBS! If you are going to start a reality show and bring in viewers then you should at least finish the season, if you don’t want to run it again that is fine! But I am sick of getting hooked on something & having it yanked off of the air. I had no idea it was gone for good until I looked it up on the computer. Shame on you CBS, your viewers should be the priority!! I will never watch another reality show on CBS, Just in Case…….

I am a huge CBS fan and I love reality shows, but how can you play half of a season and not atleast let us finish it out. If I wanted to sit at my computer and watch a tv show that would be fine but that is why I have large screen HD tv. BEWARE CBS I have taken this time to find great shows on other networks like USA and TNT that may start pushing you out. Don’t forget, Direct tv has hundreds of channels.

We were really dissapointed to find out that priate master was pulled. My entire family would look forward to watching it every week. I don’t understand why they can not finish the season through with only 5 more weeks left. It’s very dissapointing to never no who will win. I am a mother of two children who have watched every episode with me. It is good family viewing (even if it is not as good as Survivor). My children were really looking forward to seeing who wins and who gets voted off. My daughter (9 years old) thinks it is like buying a hershey bar and only getting to eat 1/2 of it because not enough people like Hershey bars. At least show it in the middle of the night and let us all DVR it. If it is not worthy of prime time, give it to us in non-prime time. It is already paid for, show it.

I agree with everyone else. Shows get cancelled after you invest your time into them. It may have been weak, but it’s better than some junk that’s on TV. It was one that I could watch with my 11 yr old son – I even let him stay up until 11pm when they changed the time! Pretty soon I’ll stop watching TV if they keep cancelling everything I watch! Finish it off for Pete’s sake!

Thanks yet again. After Jericho, maybe we’d get a break on the mid season pull,but alas, not so. I wasn’t always a big fan of reality shows but after being fed up with rereuns, we tuned in for the freshness of the “entertainment value” that could be had. And though not the most thought rivoting scenerio(with a couple of tweaks, could be), The overall concept kept us watching this “1 in 200″ channel show evey week.

Pirate Master was so silly it was a lot of fun. Looked scripted but all “reality” shows seem so. I looked forward to each show and am so disappointed that it has been cancelled. Now I can watch my DVD collection instead of TV.

OK, Fine……Pirate Master may not have been one of the best reality shows, but I was enjoying it. I had my favourites and my not so favourites. Imagine my surprise this morning when I find out that it has been cancelled but I can watch it on my computer. Imagine my surprise when I discover only people in the United States are able to watch it on their computers. I think it stinks that I and others I know will not be able to see who wins the cash. For crying out loud, the finaly episodes were already filmed. Why not show them. Better than the re-runs you will play to replace it. I am choked!!!!!!!

But why not show the rest of the episodes? It’s not like everyone will watch old 48 Hour reruns. Maybe it was only 7 million of us that faithfully watched it, but shouldn’t we be allowed to finish the series? The money was already spent to make the show, and there is not plans for a new season. So what’s the harm?

I am a fan of this show, but even I have to agree with what people are saying about it.

If you watched it from the begining you would have seen that they rushed the this show through and didn’t give it the time and polish they gave the first seasons of Survivor.

The basis and contestants (for lets face it, the majority of reality shows are just game shows where you get to know and care about the contestants) were rock solid, but the challenges were not entertaining and you could cut most of the challenges out of the show and you wouldn’t know the diffrence.

Still I enjoyed both On the Lot and Pirate Master inspite of how both took good ideas, original ideas, and then did the crime of turning them into also ran knock offs of other shows.

I would buy both of these franchises in a minute because you could do great things with them on or off television. You would only have to take the risk of being original enough to let them fail on their own merits to give them a chance to succed.
