Reaper: Series Star Bret Harrison Wants Your Foot Warmers!

ReaperWith his freshman CW series still possibly facing cancelation, Reaper star Bret Harrison is asking for a little help from the viewers.

On the actor’s personal site, Harrison is encouraging fans to send in socks to CW executives – an allusion to Tyler Labine’s slacker character, Bert “Sock” Wysocki. The campaign’s been getting some traction and Harrison says, “whether it works or not, I?ll still be happy knowing we did all we could do to keep the dream alive.” Footwear can be sent to: Dawn Ostroff, CW Network, 3300 W. Olive Ave., Burbank, CA 91505.

Reaper’s chances of coming back for year two are still up in the air. The latest episode averaged 2.5 million viewers which is slightly below the season’s 2.7 million average. Still, the episode did build on Beauty and the Geek’s audience, particularly in the all-important 18-49 demographic. The CW has already cancelled several shows this season and it seems likely that they’re going to want to carry a few freshman shows over to next season.

The devil himself, Ray Wise, believes Reaper will be back. He tells Eonline, “I feel very optimistic about it. If it goes according to logic, it would seem that we would come back because our shows are getting better than ever. And we?re really clicking on all cylinders. It?s a fine show and good entertainment, and I don?t see why it shouldn?t come back.”

Hmmm. Sounds all well and good but, can you really trust him? I mean, Satan does have a little bit of a history in the untrustworthy department and Wise plays him really well. Anyway, the CW will announce their fall schedule next Wednesday in New York. We should know if Reaper’s headed to TV Hell by then. Stay tuned! TV Series Finale home page

I sincerely hope that “Reaper” will make a come back for many more series to come!

I have thoroughly enjoyed watching every single episode of the first series, from the pilot episode to the finale!!!

I think that Ray Wise and Bret Harrison have formed an excellent “on-screen” relationship that has grown over the series, as a whole – It would be a crying shame to let this relationship fizzle and die!

I have watched Ray Wises’ career with anticipation over the last few years (from playing a “Romulan-type” alien in “Star Trek, The Next Generation”, to the part of the Devil himself, in Reaper – A part that suits Ray Wises’ acting abilities very well!)

I would like to thank the makers of “Reaper” for making this series. I realise how difficult it is, coming up with new ideas and twists in any series, but I have confidence that there could be many more interesting plots to be taken advantage of, with good writing and imagination!

Yours Hopefully, Rev. J A Rae
