you do not know what’s up. the show just started getting good when they got rid of garcia, the blonde, and the dyke. those dudes bring so much more character to the show.

Unlike the majority, I thought the new cast members were gonna develop, allowing the show to continue for a few more seasons. It is true that the show was not as sharp as in the past but it had its moments. I did not believe it totally jumped the shark and I thought Family Guy was more likely fade away. Coming from a law enforcement background I saw that the writers recognized certain police archetypes. The badge-heavy sergeant is a common character kown to all cops and the new patrolman (Truglio) is not uncommon in the law enforcement career field; the dirty cop who jumps from department to department one step ahead of internal affairs. They had a big problem with cops like that in suburban St. Louis so kudos to the writers for being observant enough to do an over-the-top characterization of the good-bad cop. I’m convinced that Lennon, Garrant and Kenney have an intimate knowledge of police operations. It has been said, by real cops, that Barney Miller was the most realistic police show on T.V. I’ve said for quite a while that Reno 911 is the true depiction of police work as most cops, and I know from the inside, are idiots. The show will live forever in syndication and I hope that they make a movie from time to time.

BTW, does anyone remember Blotter on TBS? It predated Reno and it was great.

I kinda saw this one coming. This past season had me confused for a while, I was thinking “that guy sounds like Ian Roberts…is that his fatter older brother?” but then discovered it was actually him. He’s always been a great improv guy, even though they got rid of some of the most popular characters I figured Roberts could at least partially make up for it, but Lo Truglio in my opinion added nothing at all. His character seemed stale and unoriginal, and had this tone as if he was there simply to make up for the loss of Alazraqui.

I think it’s a good thing this series has ended…it wasn’t the most original premise from the start, and they had already gotten so much more out of it than I expected they could. It seemed like Lennon and the other members of the State in particular were too creative to be doing this forever. I’d like to see them do something different.

i am swo ****** sad. this sux!! i love that show!your right,, it wasnt the same after they got rid of clemy, kimble, and garcia. still good but not the same.

RENO has sucked it since Lennon, Garant, and Kenney fired all the good cast members (allegedly via e-mail!) and replaced them with lamos. The show has been circling the drain for the last two seasons. Good bye RENO.

Go figure, they get rid of half the cast and expect the show to continue at a decent pace ratings wise?
