It was a very positive start for Revolution. It retained most of the viewers from lead-in The Voice and most watched the entire episode. NBC released the first episode online earlier this month so some people may have watched that and not tuned in to see it on television.

Compared to last year’s timeslot occupant (The Playboy Club), NBC was up by 156% in the demo and 132% in total viewers.

Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.

We really enjoy Revolution! We haven’t had cable to watch it every week, but we watched it as soon as it was available on Hulu! We vote for another season!

This story line has such potential but the writers and a few of the actors suck! It reminds me of V…so much potential, but crashed and burned.

I have enjoyed the suspense of this program. The continuity flows and the characters have depth. It is refreshing to see the writers are not reluctant to kill of characters and show the duality of people in the chaotic world situation. I do find some of the characters to be shallow and inhumanly petty and this is frustrating as it is somewhat unrealistic. I understand it is a plot device to move the story in a certain direction but it is insulting to a viewers intelligence.
